Yeah I have learned or better say followed our elders telling us to level our sugar intake back
when we were young but of course kids are kids and mostly acting against what older people says (hardheaded I must admit)

but since I am already here , maybe maintaining what i am doing now will help me at least extend
my life a little comparing to our elder generations.

There are three white poisons we must take in minimum i.e. sugar, salt and maida. Once you have these diseases like blood pressure or diabetics its very difficult to reverse them rather we have to live with them for rest of life. So its best to take good care of what you eat.

It is timely that I have seen this thread. I like sweets and I can't resist to drink those cold sweet drinks. Thanks for sharing your situation watche and I hope that you're doing better these days.

People who are not going out for physical activity are destroying there doing harm to there health. If you are a trader then don't spend whole your day on computer, make it habit to go out and have some physical exercise.
That scared me.

But good thing after all of the pandemic moments, I was able to go out, sweat my body and walk for some minutes.

It is not an easy fight budz ,

My Aunt , Uncle and even my Father died from Diabetes ( though they abused life without a complete healthy living)

My Brother now is fighting with Diabetes same as me , but I have changed my lifestyle since early 30's
so I say i'm living better now for more than 10 years , sugar is completely normal  and  my internals are working good.
its hard in the beginning to just change your foods, routine and the people i am with but all in all? this is the greatest decision
I ever made and yes because of this i can feel that a chance of reaching senior age is on the line for me.

This is good that you have taken this condition seriously. I know many people who are suffering with this condition but they don't take it seriously. Keeping a strict control of sugar is necessary specially for people suffering with diabetics. Those who have family history of T2DM must keep an eye on there blood sugar from early age.

At my last birthday physical, I was diagnosed with prediabetes.   Strokes make you tired (stroke fatigue) so I was drinking lots of high sugar energy drinks.

I have switched to coffee and sugar-free colas.   I cut out white bread as well, and that alone fixed it.  In my last blood test my sugar levels were good.  My mood is also a lot more stable, and I generally feel good about life.  Smiley

Our bodies cannot deal with so much processed sugar.

Sugar free cola ain't gonna make a real change though, Smiley

But you managed to get diagnosed as early so that chances of delaying type 2 is possible and in certain conditions, you can even reverse it. I wonder Are you taking any medicine already or just the dietary and lifestyle changes only...

It's incredible how you've turned that pain into a commitment to healthier living. Your dedication to organic veggies from your farm and opting for fish meat is fantastic—it's all about nourishing our bodies right. Educating others about diabetes and its impact is crucial; spreading awareness can truly make a difference in many lives.

Main purpose of this post is to create awareness among people here. I am aware of this condition since I saw my father die because of this disease. The irony is that those who haven't seen sufferings of people with T2 diabetics take it normal.

Hey I am also a follower of Doctor Eric Berg and have been following Him for more than a year now , Was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes last year and since then forward Dr.Eric's videos saved me , though I also focused in Exercising 30-60 mins a day yet most of what he advises is what I followed though not everything because there are some Veggies that is rare to find in my country and some are even so much expensive , but Indeed that Dr Eric Berg is one best dr for Diabetes .

It's good to know you are in control after being diagnosed with Type 2.

It will be more better if you share your scores of Hba1c, what they are when you were diagnosed and what they are right now. What medicine and diet you taking to control your sugar.

All this will help new ones in figuring out how to control diabetes.

Your welcome.

Diabetes can be controlled with and without medicines. Its upto patient suffering from sugar to decide whether he will control it with diet or through medicines. If you take care of your diet then there is no need for medicines to control blood sugar.

The main intention of this thread is to discuss and create awareness about blood sugar.

It is not  that easy fighting Diabetes , because  this will forever be in our system what we can only Hinder is the complications and the advancement .

The only thing that must be considered and followed is the food we eat and the liquid we drink , because all the medications and the treatment will be nothing if we cannot limit and take what is good for our body.

it is our Veins that targeted by Diabetes so we must take note of that.

9 isn’t that high of a reading to be honest. I have known people who spike to 15 after high carb meals. I would advise people suffering from type 2 diabetes to try & lose weight if possible. Also try to keep moving, light exercise, even walking is good enough. People with sedentary lifestyles have a much higher chance of type 2 diabetes.

You can actually correct type 2 diabetes or at least help it by managing a good diet. Obviously eating shit food is not good if you have type 2.

Eating shit food is not advised for Type-2 nor for healthy person, its jut bad for both of them. There is very rear chance of correcting or reversing Type-2 diabetes mellitus once you have it. All we can do is to control it with proper diet, exercise and medicine. Note Meicine comes at number 3rd position while Diet and exercise are first and foremost things that control it.

There is a saying that often says " Health is Wealth" please everyone should take good care of their health.

I would correct it to "Good health is Wealth". Everyone doesn't care about good health and that's why we often see patients with critical diseases. We can control most diseases by maintaining food habits. But, Some of us are careless about food habits. We eat whatever we want and then we found ourselves in a critical situation. I myself don't care that much too. But, let's hope for the best.
Yes you are right health of man is his ultimate wealth. If a person's health is destroyed, he will not find peace anywhere. Everyone should be aware of their health. And for this health awareness some rules must be followed. Eat meals on time. Have to do manual labor. Walk regularly for at least 1 hour every morning and afternoon. Junk food should be avoided. Regular physical examination should be done by the doctor.

Sorry for the stress and what you have been passing through all this while. Although I really appreciate your efforts for sharing at least those who are suffering this type of disease can learn on how to control it.
There is a saying that often says " Health is Wealth" please everyone should take good care of their health.

That's very much right that 'health is wealth' and it wont take much of our wealth to maintain a good health. All we need is good balanced diet with some exercise and it will all good. I am sharing so that people can read it and correct there eating pattern along with medical tests once or twice a year. If you find this post useful then do share this info with your friends and relatives so that they can also get themselves updated.

I have one in my family with diabetes type 2 although not alarming like type 1 which is hereditary, type 2 diabetes is because of lifestyles like having too many carbs in food and no activity at all, type 2 diabetes cannot be cured but based on my Facebook group support groups and articles and videos on Youtube it can be controlled it's important to have a glucometer which we have, my relative is not yet taking any medication the result of his FBS IS 7.01MMOL/L and on glucometer, sugar level is from 155 to 190 still manageable, the only medication he is taking is lemongrass and spirulina, right now we are going to ask a dietician if insulin tablet will do god to lower the sugar.
I agree that inactivity and obesity is the major cause of ty2 diabetes because all the foods we eat now, especially in fast foods are full of sugar.

Obesity and inactivity are two main reasons of diabetes but there is another main reason also i.e. modern day 'depression/anxiety'. Once you have diabetes you cant reverse it we can only control it. Its very unfortunate that medical science till date is not able to find solution to this disease (from business point of view pharma will perhaps never allow doctors to roll out solution to such diseases). For now on we have to live with this disease unless there is some miracle.

Truly, we should all be checking our sugar and blood pressure levels twice a year. It is good to know your state of health in time than to know it late. Our health is our wealth, it should be taken care of daily. How do we take care of it:
1. By minding what we consumed in our body.
2. By exercising. To burn the calories we have in our bodies.
3. Take a lot of water.
4. Avoid eating late-night food.
5. Avoid sugary food.

Nowadays people are not mindful of what they eat at a young age, they eat whatever comes their way, forgetting that what they eat at a young age might affect them in their old age.

Diabetes 2 disease is not a death sentence. it can't be controlled if you eat and avoid what the doctor tells you. Sorry, it happened to you.

Diabetes disease is usually seen as a result of some uncontrolled lifestyle. People who live a luxurious life especially rich fast food and do not lose calories from their body are affected by diabetes at some stage of their life. However, once diabetes is diagnosed, it can be completely cured rather it can be kept under control through various behavioral changes.
But meditation is much more effective than drugs to keep diabetes under control.  3D (3D = Discipline, Diet, Dose) system is very effective in keeping diabetes under control.
Discipline
As I mentioned earlier, diabetes is usually caused by an uncontrolled lifestyle. If someone has developed bad habits such as irregular living, food intake, uncleanliness, etc then they are affected by diabetes at any stage of life.  The first measure to be taken in diabetic patients is to lead a more regular life. He needs to establish regular contact with the doctor along with regular sports, exercise, health checkups.
Diet
For those who are suffering from diabetes but cannot control their diet, the most important thing to do is to follow a daily routine. Healthy food should be consumed regularly. Those who are in the habit of eating fast food should avoid this habit. Those who are obese and overweight need to follow a diet.  Forty minutes of exercise, sports and cycling should be done daily. They should avoid high sugar and sugary foods in the food menu. They should arrange food menu as per doctor's advice and take food accordingly.
Dose
Along with discipline and diet control, dosage plays a very important role in diabetic patients. Those who cannot keep diabetes under control even after adopting the above two methods should take regular medicines as per doctor's advice. It should be remembered that health is the absolute wealth of people. Negligence should never harm this supreme resource.

This is really touching, and I am personally happy that you were able to discover what works best for you on time, this should also give up an idea of how several doctors contribute to the death of their patients, though am in my mid 30s, I've never visited a hospital for any checks of any kind, this is because I hardly feel or fall sick,, hut after reading OP's story, I am afraid to believe what ever a doctor will tell me just incase I visit a hospital anytime.

Anyways, like I said before, I am very happy that you found what works best for you, I encourage you to stick to it and I wish you a happy and fulfilled long life mate..
