My opinion for Bitcoin will continue going down and Ethereum will also continue climbing up, that might happen within at least a couple of years.
My opinion for ethereum has all it takes to reach the height of bitcoin in years to come but it can never reach the price of bitcoin this year.
I also see huge potential in the ETH coin. Just at the moment the market is going through not the best of times. I am confident that everything will be fine and we will be able to see new highs for all currencies.

I don't understand why eth currently has no movement. when viewed from the many successful ico projects using the eth platform, does eth prices increase? or at least eth popularity will be good this year.

I think that the ethereum is strong enough and the coin is in demand. But after his large number of stolen then the ethereum began to fall still added as well to the drop that bitcoin fell.

I dont think ETH will reach bitcoin price, in my opinion bitcoin is just too mainstream to get dethroned for the most expensive cryptocurrency category. One thing i believe on though, is that in 2018 Ethereum will rise more percentage wise than bitcoin, so that being said, in my opinion you will make more money if you have your money on ethereum than if you have your money on bitcoin.
Yes, i also think that Ethereum can't beat the price of bitcoin in resent some years. Ethereum price is too low then that of bitcoin. In this time Ethereum price is approx 300$ and bitcoin price is approx 6400$. Ethereum has the capability to beat bitcoin popularity. Its less volatile nature attract many investors for long-term investment purposes. Ethereum is also accepted by many multimillion companies which makes its future safe and brighterand also help it to increase its market price. 
Almost all ICO projects, Airdrops are on the market they use ethereum blockchain 80%. This is a good indication that ETH will continue to grow and increase in the future. With more features, fast transfer time, low cost. ETH will be the coolest coin in the future. And I believe it will remain the best choice after bitcoin
More people invest in ethereum than investing in bitcoin which is evident in how ethereum has survived against the market down in the past few weeks, my first preference is Ethereum for purchases and HODL. I think this is a good idea.

In my opinion, I think Ethereum is become more profitable because it has already gained huge popularity and I think in the future will catch up with Btc.
According to the cryptomarket in the real time ETH has all chances for restoring and following raising in price. There are not so many problems near ETH now.
