While cleaning up my dev rigs - installed so many useless ZEC miners... I kept the Nicehash ones which is probably the only decent one that doesnt crash, esp the CPU miner..... cut a long story short....
I downloaded the latest Windows multi algo miner version 1.7.3, that includes Equihash algo.

To my surprise, this version includes already the Windows version of CPU+GPU miner for AMD and also NVIDIA.
On a 980Ti GPU and 1840 Celeron - the miner runs at 43 sol/s and pays 0.0215 BTC per day or $15.51 USD per day (thanks to a decent BTC $ rise).
This is 1 rig with 1 high end GPU and a low end CPU - Imagine this on a 4xGPU or 6xGPU AMD ETH rig.
Will put this to work on 6xRX480 and 6xR9Nano and 5xR9-390 tomorrow morning - will we see ZEC paying 60-70 bucks daily per rig?
If the rigs runs stable, this would be a perfect way to leverage ZEC high paying rentals at Nicehash market.
At least thats what is profitable now, compared to mining directly.

as we speak 9.73$... we are lucky we can GPU mine ZEC alternatively but we need a Claymore-grade miner.
Was there any major news on ETH to get it to fall like this?
I think ZEC is killing ETH..

once a stable GPU miner is official, will definitely will be mining ZEC... ZEC is the only coin that can be mined by GPU and CPU, that has a coin value of more than BTC.... = excellent candidate for mining.
The value will go down. Once enough coins hit the market
does not matter if value drops. it needs to be better then eth which is better then btc.
if it can do that for three to four months it could help eth as people drift from eth.
Ideally it needs to earn say 1.26 btc a month using 2400 watts
My Eth gear now earns .63 btc a month using 2400 watts.
my winter cost is 9,7 cents a kwatt so my power cost is 167 usd a month
.63 btc is 441 - 167 = 274 profit. right now for eth coin
if I earn 882 -167 = 715 profit with zec coin I would be happy.
both are better then what 2400 watts does for me with a pair of s9's on an under clock .
In other words if ETH coin is a single with the bases loaded I want zec to be a double with the bases loaded.
The real danger is if it goes wacko.
right now im renting my gear on nicehash est per day is at 80$
lets say it stays at that for 30 days straight thats 2400$ on gear that was 400$ on eth
edit- im renting due to no miner works stable on my w10 only renting does atm
