Anyone who gambles experiences deep valleys and large peaks. You can't gamble and just have fun and win a lot of money. You have to be prepared that you will lose a lot of money, and think in advance what you want to do. Try to use some kind of management with your bank role, and certainly not play with large amounts. Play with money like you've actually already lost it so that it's really just for fun. In the long run, making rational decisions is no longer possible if you want to win back your lost money. It would be better not to start at all to prevent problems. Or don't play online and only take cash to a casino for entertainment.

I definitely agree with your statement.

That is the problem when you are dealing with something that is highly risky- there can be no absolute result as you may either win or lose without any given notice. Gambling can be beneficial when you win; but it can also be potentially destructive at the same time if you fail to control your habits as this will result to spending tons of cash in the process.

While today may be your worst day in gambling, look at the brighter picture and learn from this experience. Should you try to recover your losses by gambling again? I do not think so- but at least you gained something invaluable which is the experience and learnings from this unfortunate event.

Being greedy is always the worst experience in gambling, I also have this experience before where I spend the money not intended for gambling, and it forced me to borrow again just to pay back the money I loss in gambling. Those experience are not easy to forget but we should treat that as a lesson and never do that again.

I second this opinion. As a matter of fact, I believe that whenever we start to gamble, or start a gambling session, we need to have a certain goal, of just how much we can afford to lose and a certain amount of how much of a win before we cashout.

There have been several times that I could have ended up winning a decent amount, but since I mostly want more and more, I end up losing even my starting balance. Which sucks, so now I try to limit myself whenever I play. And for most of my wins this past months, I was able to cashout little by little. Its only this september that it really sucked.

Your worst day comes at the right time, if you continue winning you will end up addicted to gambling at a very young age, gambling is not for teens like you and you find that early in your life at a huge cost of not getting an exam because the money you use is for your tuition, I think you're a better person when it comes to gambling now because you learned in your early years that you don't chase your winnings, and you have a level of control in gambling.
A lot of people have always learned the hard way and OP is just one of them, except if that experience didn't change anything when it comes to responsible gambling.

As for me, I gambled most of my remaining ETHs and some BTC on different gambling sites and casinos last 2019. I thought the crypto market is not recovering anytime soon and I went YOLO. I knew it would fucked up, especially since I was gambling extensively rather than my usual meticulous picks on sports betting. I was supposed to HODL those coins and just gamble responsibly.

Well sincerely speaking gambling has no limits to married or not married
That is true, anyone can gamble as long they are above 18. But married people risk wisely because they know they have to take care of the family.

as a matter of fact, married men gambles mostly to raise funds for his family.
For not to be a bad father, better for such person not to go for gambling, he should look for other means because gambling can take than give, especially it would take from those that are in need and look into gambling for it.

So gambling comes with addiction, once you got addicted it doesn't matter if you have a family or not the habits has been established so nothing stops you from the previous attitude or behavior. It takes only self discipline to control the gambling habits.
This is true. But I wish we can see the percentage of married and not yet married men that gambles and see who are most reckless about it. Definitely the not yet married people would be more, also in addiction which is what I am talking about.

Well sincerely speaking gambling has no limits to married or not married as a matter of fact, married men gambles mostly to raise funds for his family. I have a neighbor who gamble both basically on pools, which he goes to stake on every Saturdays and he is married most at times his family quarrels him for gambling and using their money for bills to gamble.
So gambling comes with addiction, once you got addicted it doesn't matter if you have a family or not the habits has been established so nothing stops you from the previous attitude or behavior. It takes only self discipline to control the gambling habits.

I believe everybody has their worst day in gambling especially if you started gambling early maybe in your teenage age. My worst day was when I used my school fees to gamble because I thought I will make more money to take care of some of my needs in school. At the beginning I was making profit for 2hrs,I was carried away with the anxiety of winning but later the game turned round and I was losing and losing,I didn't quit hoping I will recover my lost. Before I knew it I was left with 10% of the money I started with, I couldn't just quit the game then because I still feel I will start winning again but luck failed me and I got drained of all I have on me.

Two weeks later it was announced in school that we only had one more week left for closure of school fees payment, I tried borrowing, seek for help everywhere but nobody could help me with the money.  This was how I couldn't pay my fee for that semester and went home with carry overs after the end of the semester as I was not allowed to write some exams.

How about you do you had a worst day on gambling  that you will never forget ?Did it affect an aspect of your life and how ?

It should be realized that gambling with money that you should not use as pleasure is the most fatal thing. why, no matter the money you will use for gambling or other types of pleasure hobbies. In fact, you must be held accountable for the consequences of what you do. meaning, you have made a mistake that you realized beforehand if the scenario did not go according to your plan.  for sure you have to find a way to replace the money that has been lost.

So far I have never experienced anything like you did, but every gambler has the worst day of his entire gambling experience. with this experience, in the future, hopefully you will be more responsible for considering every risk and consequence if you do the same thing.

I've an experience of gambling with friend's money. The important thing, I didn't borrow from him. He himself gave me and said give me when I ask. The money with me is getting emptied using for unwanted needs. It was a big sum of $1200, and later when he asked I wasn't able to return. He didn't fought or made it an issue. Have given time for me to arrange and for the immediate need he somehow managed.
I thought that you did gamble with your friend's money without his acknowledgement. Well, that's the worst experience and I've seen a lot of gamblers made that mistake.
But since it's different from what you've experienced, so, it's like that he just allowed you to use that for anything and had an arrangement that you have to pay for it at an agreed time and most available time that you've got no pressure at all.

I have never gambled an amount used for something else. What i can relate with is gambling my feeding allowance two consecutive times and to be sincere it wasn't funny on my part those two weeks. This happened in my second year in school. After that i had to draw my budget to ensure i don't fall going cashless anymore

How about you do you had a worst day on gambling  that you will never forget ?Did it affect an aspect of your life and how ?

No doubt that most gamblers had their own worst day on gambling, some may not have experienced it yet. In my case, my worst day was when I was able to win few grands but ended with lose it all. At that time I started my session with no more than $150, I was lucky enough to turn it into more than $5k in less than 2 hours but I was out of control so I increased my bet a lot because I wanted to win more and more. Unfortunately, I ended to lose it all in less than an hour including my initial deposit + one more deposit. Obviously it was not affecting my life because I actual lose was still under my gambling limit but the worst thing is that I was too greedy.

If you can stop after playing for 2 hours with a win, you certainly won't be sad and regret like you are now. But that's all in the past and you learn a valuable lesson that never gambles for too long and stops immediately when you've made a profit. If you have lost, it will be difficult to recover from that loss because the casino will not let you win a lot of money a second time.

I've never had a bad loss or nearly had one but luckily, I could stop right then and there so the losses weren't as big as others. And yes, it was an experience we cannot forget but we must try to forget it and not repeat it in the future.
The difficulty for gamblers when they have made a lot of profit is to play the game again and without them realizing that the account they have may have been marked by the system that they have made double profits from the first time gambling, so taking a 2 hour break to stop playing for a while is still not enough , it would be better to change to a new account to gamble and take advantage of the sign up bonus or first time deposit bonus if available.
Yes, maybe many of us have experienced it and it is because of the temptation of gambling that they continue to play without thinking that what they got is enough. But to change to a new account just to take advantage of the signup bonus doesn't seem to be recommended because maybe the casino can find out that it's us playing or using the account. But simply quitting playing and exiting the casino is the recommended advice so that we can reduce the tension of having been playing for some time.

I think I've heard stories like this, my guess at that time wasn't the first time you gambled. You're used to gambling, hopefully you don't do that anymore, don't use any money for important things.

My worst day at gambling was when playing dice with the auto bet feature and I activate the increasing bet in the win and also lose section and this makes me quickly lose funds

Every loss is bad, but it is a consequence of gambling because you can't expect to win forever. Losing and winning should be normal, but I think some people will get greedy and have a hard time controlling their gambling which will eventually lead to problems.

Your story has actually been shared by many gamblers out there but maybe they don't want to admit it publicly. I also have experience but it shouldn't have much impact on my real life and financial condition. As long as you can control your gambling and finances, then you are safe to bet at least a few dollars that you can afford to lose.

My worst day so far was when I accidentally hit the MAX button on a dice site, and thus bet 0.006+ BTC with 0.5% win chance. I lost it all in the blink of an eye, but I keep wondering what if I accidentally won? It would be my best day in gambling then. Smiley

As for the similar situations you described, I had several of them, when I was losing $5-$10 on slots and wanted to win it back, but only ended up losing $20-$30 more. It was painful, but not as dramatic as in your case. Next time never risk more than you can afford to lose.

........

You went extreme my friend, how on earth will you gamble your school money meant for school fees, I think reading from your storyline, the bet you made was virtual sports. Nothing drains the pocket like virtual sport because the condition of the game can change before a blink of an eye and seeing how your money gets burnt while watching can give one high blood pressure and anxiety and making the right decisions during that time is always difficult, before you know it, you will make the wrong move of playing with your last card with of at least making back the capital you have a stake in the game.

Let me start by saying that I don't feel for you, you might still be learning, time and the spirit attached to gambling itself would teach you over time. Gambling can ruin you if you are not careful, you should still be appreciative that you have 10% of your money left. Some would even go home with a negative balance by selling some properties/assets with them, so yours is still minimal. I have seen someone with physical cash that wasted about $1500 through gambling. As if that was not enough, still went ahead to withdraw more cash twice. This is insane! Every gambler should have proper plans before dabbling into it. It's supposed to be for mature minds only.

Learning? It is rather a mistake, you don't use urgent money to gamble in hope of making more, it always ends in pain and regrets.
Gambling doesn't ruin except if you are the addicted type and extremist who would do anything to wager the last money on any games.

Too bad for you Frankolala, if I should say I never had any similar to yours
I have always gambled in the right way, expect two things in return win or loss!
But what I would say was my bad day was not cashing out when I had the chance, I missed out winning 35 million naira in Bet9ja around 2019 April  Cry.   I couldn't sleep for days after the loss.
it is reasonable for Him to make such action because of being young and super uncontrollable , he can decide whatever he wanted and that day he chooses a much wrong way.
it is a amount of Money that Her/His parents gather from hard work and what he did is just spent this for gambling.
