If you can stop after playing for 2 hours with a win, you certainly won't be sad and regret like you are now. But that's all in the past and you learn a valuable lesson that never gambles for too long and stops immediately when you've made a profit. If you have lost, it will be difficult to recover from that loss because the casino will not let you win a lot of money a second time.

I've never had a bad loss or nearly had one but luckily, I could stop right then and there so the losses weren't as big as others. And yes, it was an experience we cannot forget but we must try to forget it and not repeat it in the future.

How about you do you had a worst day on gambling  that you will never forget ?Did it affect an aspect of your life and how ?
We all have our worst gambling experiences particularly when we just started out. And it all boils down to faulty thinking and chasing losses. Having read how other people won thousands of dollars on a single $100 bet, newbies would often jump thinking that they could double their money and when they win do something noble with it. We always had good intentions but did odds didn't care. Not my story though but something I experienced in a bet shop. So the person came and place a bet and lost. He took off his footwear and place it as a bet and still lost. He ended up going home barefooted. Two weeks later, he was found hanging in his room. He had killed himself.

Gambling is always sweet to play more when profits are coming in, but I think that us a trick most people should know about. People should learn to be contented with the little amount of profit gotten from gambling . It is not certain one can win all the money used to play gamble.

I believe everybody has their worst day in gambling especially if you started gambling early maybe in your teenage age. My worst day was when I used my school fees to gamble because I thought I will make more money to take care of some of my needs in school. At the beginning I was making profit for 2hrs,I was carried away with the anxiety of winning but later the game turned round and I was losing and losing,I didn't quit hoping I will recover my lost. Before I knew it I was left with 10% of the money I started with, I couldn't just quit the game then because I still feel I will start winning again but luck failed me and I got drained of all I have on me.

Two weeks later it was announced in school that we only had one more week left for closure of school fees payment, I tried borrowing, seek for help everywhere but nobody could help me with the money.  This was how I couldn't pay my fee for that semester and went home with carry overs after the end of the semester as I was not allowed to write some exams.

How about you do you had a worst day on gambling  that you will never forget ?Did it affect an aspect of your life and how ?

In short, based on your story, you used your tuition fee payment to gamble, and thinking that you would continue to win and thinking that that day was your luck, you continued to play until you notice that you are struggling to recover from the loss and in the end, you are disappointed.

You were tempted to gamble thinking you could grow it, that's the wrong decision you made, you should have learned to discipline yourself. And because you were not careful, the consequence of what you did was that you were not able to pay your tuition fee to the school you attended.

In my experience, I did not lead to such a thing as you experienced, because I know how to limit myself from gambling.

Sorry to hear that you are struggling so much with gambling. But honestly, what did you expect using your school fee money for gambling? This is a complete nogo and was a huge mistake by you. The first rule of gambling is the same as in trading, never use money that you can't afford to lose. How do you even have access to all your school money at such a young age? Shouldn't your parents be managing the money for you? This is a really sad story and I hope you learned from it. Especially if you are very new to gambling in the first place, there is no need to gamble with large sums of money. Hopefully you managed to recover your school money with help from your family and took a break from gambling after that. I would never say that for me the worst day in my life was with gambling. There are some days where I lost a lot of money, but I was always aware of the risks and made sure I could lose that money in the first place. All the necessary money for housing, food or education I would never touch and risk it in a casino. The worst day in my life was either when my dad was diagnosed with cancer or when my grandmother died. I would give a lot of money to make either of these two days to never have happened.

My worst day has been when I have used the funds allocated to save in my daughter account as I do monthly but I got and played it all in the slot machines.I know this was only one month and I have already remedy this problem by depositing double the amount one of the next months and compared to using the school fees is nothing because you have risked much more than I did but this is the worst I have done with funds that were allocated for other purposes and I got and lost them all.

Teenage is the worse time to start gambling, teenagers are impulsive, and their judgment is immature when it comes to gambling
If your parents know this they will not let you gambling is very risky and only a mature mind can gamble without risking everything

You put yourself in a bad position where you should not be, a teenager should enjoy being free and to study for your future you cannot make it your vocation, this is a big lesson and a lesson that will take you to become a mature player in casino

This is a big lesson for you, you should forget about gambling and finish schooling first if you want to gamble do it when you have a job and you have money of your own that you can allocate for gambling.

One thing I don't do for my life is to ever play or gamble with my bill funds most especially my rent or my children school fees. Then when I was in school I have never temped with my school fees though then I never had much love for gambling for it was good for me to utilize any money that gets to my hands. So I never have though experience.

People only regret it later after they burned the money that isn't supposed to be spent that way I have a similar experience when I was in high school when I spent P.E uniform fees on an Internet cafe and I don't have any guts to face my parents and to tell them what really happens but then I made a good decision when I realized that regret will not get back my money but instead I worked part-time jobs and made enough to pay my P.E uniform. from that day until now, I haven't spent the money I can't afford to lose.

This OP story is very classic high school life story. I experienced this too during my highschool days when I bet my tuition fee on Dota against the other school in my town. We lose the game and I really don't know what I'm gonna do.

In the end, I become honest to my mother and accept the punishment even though it really hurt compared to lying that I already paid my tuition amd find out later on.

I also gambled quite a bit back when I was in high school but it never really went past that level like OPs. I've spent money yes, pretty big compared to my normal but never enough to well bring ruin to my current state then.

I guess the biggest damn day of my gambling was on my first paycheck, basically spent it all in gambling back then (I was pretty invested after winning considerably before then), which basically made living through the month pretty hard. Still better than most I guess, but it was still a rather difficult time for me that has relation wtih gambling.

it wasnt just  your worst day in gambling but your worst day in life , imagine that it is a school fees? in which will dictate your future but instead you decide to gamble like gambling your whole future.
never do the same thing again , never let your desire decide for your life instead use your mind and heart not only your eagerness .

My worst day in gambling was when I lost 10% of my entire bankroll and had to quit playing because that was my stop loss. It still affects me a lot, because it will take a decent length of time until I recover that money. Meanwhile I can't gamble anymore and I also have to be more economical from now on in every aspects of my life in order to recover that money as soon as possible.

There is nothing I can do to change what happened, but I do regret about what I did and I'm not going to repeat that again futurely. I put too much faith on luck and forgot reason...

I am quite rational in these matters. Regarding casino gambling, I have played very little and have never gone out of control. Specifically with poker, there are times when you have downswings that make you lose a lot in a short time, and what you have to do is to continue playing as if nothing happened, as long as it does not affect your emotional state. There are times when I have had to make the session shorter than planned because of downswings. It is better to come back at another time when you are fresher.

Luckily for me I also have no similar experience. I cannot even remember my worst day in gambling until I rewind my past gambling adventures. This was likely my worst day in gambling, it occurred last 2014, eight years already. I bet $200 in a single game NBA finals game. I cannot remember what game was it but I bet on the Miami Heat but they lost to the San Antonio Spurs. It was a big lost for me but I had a stable job already that time so it is not that painful as losing a whole semester tuition fee at school.

I have never had similar experiences. What I have seen with my own eyes is someone spending their monthly salary on a slot machine on the same day they get paid. A long time ago. It was a time when slot machines only accepted coins, and I saw the person change notes one after the other as he lost.

You're young at that time and probably didnt know the risk when you gamble the money that is meant for your tuition. I just wonder what's your parents reaction when they found out what happened?

I also have similar experience but that time I already have my own family. I also made a mistake to gamble and unable to refrain myself for doing so resulting to many problems particularly my relationship with my family. Experience can really give us a lesson to not repeat the same mistakes again.

he was just a teen that time. surely we have done certain things like this in the past some are worse.
its easy for parents to forgive a teen to have done such mistake because after all he is just a teen. but his parents must have impose disciplinary action so it won't happen again.

when i was a teen i learn the consequences too as i walked home more than 2 miles because i lost all my money in a card game.

Your experience is not new to us we all have this kind of experience when we are starting out, there is such a thing as beginner's luck and you experienced it but unfortunately, you don't know how to stop or lose control of yourself because of this beginner's luck just hit you, and when you lose you your winnings and your investment you feel sorry and you need to win those back, its called chasing your losses and it's not good because it will further drain you

This is a big lesson for you to only gamble with money that you can afford to lose, problem will beset you if you are an irresponsible gambler who gamble when he has money in his pocket, check your priority first, gambling is for entertainment only

It's pretty obvious that our worst gambling day would have a affected us somewhat in our life. From having severe relationship with someone or maybe not putting food in the table.

For me I can't count what's my worst gambling day that resulted in something like this. But I know that it had dire consequences for me, like not going to work because you can't sleep because you lose some big money and you can to think and cover it because it could be disastrous in my end.

I hope you learned the lesson and so is people reading about your story, gambling is no joke, even mature grown-ups can't control it, so of course a teenager can make even crazier things, for me it wasn't just a bad day in gambling, it was a whole run of more than 2 years, all I can say is I'm not proud of my run in gambling, I didn't lose a lot but gambling is never something to be proud of even if you win.
