The theme is recurrent, I think that if we had a section of this type outside of the ones that would generate the most opening of topics, I have not only had bad days, I have had seasons that sometimes turn into months, it is hard but it is something that must be consider before they happen.

You didn't have a plan, it is as bad as what you did, we're betting to beat the loss in the long run not in an instant.

I'll give you an example, just yesterday I needed $10 to complete a wager, my bet size is $0.5 at that time in that casino, sometimes it's more, other less but I got out of the $0.5 plan I put the winchance at 1.01x;  I put $10 and what do you think?... the 1.00x amazing came out, it was shit, but at least it didn't affect my bankroll, anyway, we believe that it will not happen!, it happens.

At times I wonder how do you college students gets to o that. You know, to use your tuition fees and maybe rent to gamble when you know that, its a high stake probability and you could lose all without being compensated for it but still, you guys get to go ahead with the risk. That's so not me and gambling rules disapproves.

"Gamble what you can afford to lose only". It's that simple and when you feel you should make a trier, know when to draw the line. Tru to be disciplined about it.
The first I knew was my departmental friend that gambled with his tuition fee. I blamed him.

Another was a very close friend of mine that gambled with his mother's money. It was a very huge amount of money. I blamed him.

Not knowing I too would fall victim of that. I gambled with my school fee, not even once but twice.

My departmental friend, my close friend, and I all lost.

When I lost the second time, I quit gambling for many months.

It is better to have lost and learned than win and got addicted.  So I believe having the worst day in gambling is just another kind of salvation where we learn lessons and become knowledgeable to avoid a more serious matter and that is gambling addiction.  Being able to stop after those losses simply shows we still have retained our sanity, though bothered by the problem, it is not as serious as being addicted and needing to undergo gambling addiction treatment.   I believe this kind of losing event in gambling and being able to learn from it is a blessing in disguise.

When things goes crazy on lucky streak no one thinks about cashing out profit but when things turn 180 degree gamblers keep chasing a ATH profit graph for withdrawal. Unfortunately, we all been in similar situations due to the nature of gambling, just don't deposit the amount you can't lose and it will be OK in the long run. Otherwise, you will prepare a deep trap for your future finance.

True, and when our initial bankroll got depleted let us be disciplined enough not to top up our bankroll with our remaining money because it will only trigger a continuous tapping of bankroll when our bankroll is depleted.

I had a similar experience to you Frank when I've used my school fee for something else but it's not gambling. My parents didn't know it and I'm just realizing how a bad child I am.

They've worked hard just to send me to school and I did nothing but to spend that money for other things. Well, at the end of it, I have to pay it for my own and looked for someone to cover it for me and has to worked for it before the deadline that's given to me.

My worst day in gambling would probably just the same as the others that at the entire day, there's even not that much luck on me. And leaving myself with a loss that would be a budget of a day or two was like a thing already.

Sometimes, it's a matter of setting priorities!

As a student, especially one that has got sponsorship, your number one job or function is always to study. That was the way I saw it back the as I happened to have had the sponsorship and backings of my parents. I knew I had left the Co.fot of home to get a degree. Not because I was all consumed about the idea of schooling but I knew education to some length was important and so I gave priority to the things that would see me through the process and that meant, not taking chances with my tuition fees.

Once it was at hand, I always find the time to free myself of it and sort other means to get the extra cash I wanted. Those I could gamble with to make more of it hit definitely, not my tuition fees and surely not to be homeless by joking with my rent.

It's simply priority.

That is why it is good not to use the amount of money you can not afford to lose to gamble. While gambling, you can lose or make profit, but gambling platforms make it in a way people are more likely to lose. I too have seen hell when I started to gamble, I lost a lot too and become addicted until I finally realized that we should not chase money with gambling, it is wrong.
Gambling do not give guaranteed profits so we should not risk our money particularly if it’s intended to pay the bills or even for emergency funds. Though it’s not bad to gamble, but make sure that you are gambling your extra money so that if you lose, your finances will never be affected. I have been into gambling addiction before, but I have never experienced as worst as this like OP experienced.

You were young by that time and yet you already into gambling, probably something is wrong and the result was really bad since you are still young and can’t handle your emotion. I guess everyone here have our own story of worst gambling experience and hopefully we learned from that scenario. With OP, this is a reminder that you should only gamble with your extra money, and never use a funds that is intended for your regular expenses.

One thing I don't do for my life is to ever play or gamble with my bill funds most especially my rent or my children school fees. Then when I was in school I have never temped with my school fees though then I never had much love for gambling for it was good for me to utilize any money that gets to my hands. So I never have though experience.
No one wants to be an irresponsible father or parent. One thing about trading and gambling is that people that are not married risk more than the people that are married. The kind of ways a married man would think is different. It would be very absurd if a father gambles with his children school fees. That is a very bad thing to do. A good father would want to pay bills too. But when it comes to people that are not married, they have the kind of mind to risk more, but the risks can later put them in trouble. But be it a married person or not, gambling should be done in a responsible way that will not become a problem for the gambler.

Yes, I gamble in my high school days, but I never encounter this kind of situation though, gambling tuition fees, but I can feel you. There are really circumstances in our life that suddenly change and beyond our control. And if we including gambling, and used the money that it's supposed to be used on other situation, then the problem arises. I think for me the worst is just gambling all the money that I earn when I had job, after payday I would go run to any landbased casinos and going home empty. Think about 2 works of hard work going into drain in less than an hour and you don't know what to do next because you don't have money in your pocket when you go home. How can you cope with the basic necessities like food and then you have to pay the bills? It's just really stressful and everyone should learn from these kind of mistakes and not get addicted.

As a gambler (who still made losses today) i have to inform you in joy that there is no worst day in gambling. hehe. In gambling there are worst days, such that as a gambler you would be unable to rank the worst days when you start to recall and try to do so.

None the less, as terrible as gambling is, there's no good or worst days if you gamble within your means. Gambling within your means helps you survive the numerous worst days, and also helps you save in the excellent days

How about you do you had a worst day on gambling  that you will never forget ?Did it affect an aspect of your life and how ?

I never had the worst day of gambling since I always make sure that I have an alternative option whenever I decided to go all in.  And that plan never failed me so far.  Whenever I planned to use a huge bankroll I always plan to adjust my fundings ahead and keep it as is.

I know the feeling of getting hooked and drained of the money that isn't supposed for gambling, I was just lucky back then I have a cryptocurrency holding that can be sold to replace the lost amount.

Yeah, we must always think of the future and use only the money that is free of obligation, and better to divide the free money so that it can also accommodate our future activity in gambling.

Ouch, this is not appropriate source to gamble since you shouldn't touch the money you can't afford to lose. As you explained, you have to take winnings after 2 hours of lucky session and stop being greedy for more profit, eventually loss streak will find you in such turns. Anyways, this expensive lesson should be remembered next time you wanna gamble with money you have to use for something else. I never gamble the amount I can't put back in case of loss, so think twice before deposit in the casinos.

It already happens and I believe OP has learned his lesson well.  It is a good thing that he realizes that what he did is wrong and comes to share with us the horror of using money that is allocated somewhere in gambling.  It is much better to suffer such thing than getting addicted to gambling because having the latter will surely destroy your future.

~snip~
If you haven't had these worst days, then it is enough to say you haven't gambled at all. Although, what one might consider worst differs as per the gravity some comes with but, it remains painful still when compared to our past experiences and how the event went down considering the aim in view.

Anyone who gambles experiences deep valleys and large peaks. You can't gamble and just have fun and win a lot of money. You have to be prepared that you will lose a lot of money, and think in advance what you want to do. Try to use some kind of management with your bank role, and certainly not play with large amounts. Play with money like you've actually already lost it so that it's really just for fun. In the long run, making rational decisions is no longer possible if you want to win back your lost money. It would be better not to start at all to prevent problems. Or don't play online and only take cash to a casino for entertainment.

I believe everybody has their worst day in gambling especially if you started gambling early maybe in your teenage age. My worst day was when I used my school fees to gamble because I thought I will make more money to take care of some of my needs in school. At the beginning I was making profit for 2hrs,I was carried away with the anxiety of winning but later the game turned round and I was losing and losing,I didn't quit hoping I will recover my lost. Before I knew it I was left with 10% of the money I started with, I couldn't just quit the game then because I still feel I will start winning again but luck failed me and I got drained of all I have on me.

Two weeks later it was announced in school that we only had one more week left for closure of school fees payment, I tried borrowing, seek for help everywhere but nobody could help me with the money.  This was how I couldn't pay my fee for that semester and went home with carry overs after the end of the semester as I was not allowed to write some exams.

How about you do you had a worst day on gambling  that you will never forget ?Did it affect an aspect of your life and how ?
