to my knowledge, myetherwallet.com is very safe because we get a private key to secure the wallet address,
so in my opinion myetherwallet is not safe it is purely their fault in filling out project forms that they follow,
that is, they are asked to fill in the wallet address but they fill in their own private key.

Hello, I participating in bounty campaign a few years and I can answer your question: my ether wallet is not secure and not reliable way to store tokens. If you want to protect your cash you should use a hardware wallets

I think myetherwallet is very safe for storing tokens because data such as private keys and passwords are not stored on the MyEtherWallet server. This is what makes MEW so safe, you have complete control over your cryptocurrency because private keys are not shared with others, even with MyEtherWallet.
If your colleague says that myetherwallet is not safe because someone who hacked it seems unlikely because I have never heard of myetherwallet hacked, your friend might lose your personal key and password.

It is very safe to use MEW on almost if not all platforms and I have never had any experience or ever heard from anyone a situation whereby ones MEW destination address is changed by anyone. The only time you may be vulnerable to scammers or hackers is when you expose your private key to the public. That is one good thing about Ether accounts, you are given both public and private key, the private is personal and the public is indeed public use. If you experience difficulty transferring from one platform to the other, it may be a network issues on either one of the sites or even data transmission failure from your ISP. Ensure you check all necessary connections and look out for pop-up messages and blocks from your browser.

My etherwallet for me is a 50/50. It could be safe but then one day it's not. Just do like what others do which I also do which is to use Metamask to make transaction much safe and there's still not a single reports about it getting hacked so try it.

Myetherwallet is safe unless you have given your private key or you have been phished. Always be careful when you enter your credentials because it might not be the correct site. When you receive e-mails from sites, always check if it is the true site because there are many hackers who would send e-mails saying you need to change password because someone is trying to access your account. If you have slack, do not ever open the e-mails saying you need to update your myetherwallet because it is just a phishing site. If possible, bookmark the site you are using so that you don't need to search it in google. Most likely the first one that would appear when you search is an advertisement and a phishing site.

Myetherwallet is the safest Etherum wallet to use in the entire market and it doesn't even save your data or private keys it's all with you and it just lets you connect for a short period of time with the ethereum main net just by typing your private key or uploading your wallet file and once you close the tab of browser your data is erased from the website, but there was a dns problem which hackers took advantage of and stole many people's tokens but that was all people's fault and not due to mew.

Myetherwallet is very much recommendable wallet to the people who use to stock some ERC20 tokens aswell with eth tokens, They are been used by many people around the globe, And the only treat for this is the owner since they are the one who's handling it and if their balance will be hack then the owner will be the one who will blame for the incident since he is the one who's responsible for his own private keys.

yes, phishing its the most popular type of fraud, and you need to check the security of the connection (https) and of course the correct address, so as not to fall for this bait

Since when I have been using myetherwallet, I have not has any issue with it because it is a very good and potential one. It is safe, secure and also reliable along as you keep your private key and avoiding clicking on phishing links.

If you secure your private keys, and it is not exposed, you will always be safe using MEW. Many people here use MEW and get their private key exited and they blame MEW for being unsafe, and the reason is hacked attacks on their wallet. I used MEW for about a year and never had any problems with my token

People who have kept their private key confidential and not sharing with the other people. Those people will be in safe hands always but people who ever joins in the Airdrops without checking the proper information they will give permission to scammers by sharing their private keys with them.
