I like the idea of changing to Gulden but I also have the same thought? Has the team researched if this will be a problem and is Gulden not reserved by the government. What about all the stickers people purchased that shows guldencoin.

The word "Gulden" is not a protected name, nor does this word is subject to ownership nor can it become.
The word "Gulden" is a general term, something like "police", "humans", "euro", etc.

Besides that, its also an adjective:
De gulden middenweg, een gulden tijd, gulden snede, gulden vlies, guldenboterbloem, etc.

So no unforseen juridical problems in any way  Wink

Great change and good it's not restricted! Carry on as you were.  Grin Grin

Why the fuck aren't people dumping, it's the weekend?!?!

A healthy pattern, i think.

The chart coincides with further decrease in trading NLG on bittrex, guldencoin will be stable above 400 by end of next month.

http://nlgstats.nl/charts/total_NLG_at_bittrex.html

We heading downwards in price long before the weekend, this is a good sign we will be under 350 by Sunday. I will wait to buy more coins at around 340 level.

Gulden sounds a lot more serious and expensive than Guldencoin in my opinion. This is very good because Gulden is a high-quality project reflecting serious ambitions concerning expanding user convenience, decentralization of monetary matters and technological crypto currency innovation.

That's a hundred percent true, eliminating the -coin adds some sort of finesse to the project due to the fact that basically every single crypto has oin oin oin in the end.

That is right. However, I'm a bit worried about the practical implications: if you want to attract more Dutch people into the coin, they might get confused. For example, when you see a sticker in a retailshop that mentions "Guldens accepted over here", I guess some people will try to pay with old Guldens - the old currency of the Netherlands before the Euro xD

As long there real silver ill buy them all =] As for the legal part, i would not consider removing the 'coin' part.

Sure that's very likely to happen, and I can see some fellas from an older generation doing that mistake. However having 'coin' or not in the end can as easily lead to that same conclusion. By the time this reaches mainstream it'll be mostly the media clarifying what this is all about to the average user. Imo It's better having a simpler name from the start

for all the people

we have change the name guldencoin to gulden

Why? When i search gulden, the first that pops up is egulden.org as a digital currency

Give it a while, web rankings do not update immediately.

Does it not also depend if you use google.com instead of .nl you get different results?
If I search it I do not get that site on the first page and I use .nl

I used the safari search bar on my iphone, theres just alot of gulden sites out there. Imo people should not get confused with the gulden. Its not the same.

just set your meta good and make it ok for google

I think good positioning in google will follow just as in the title of this ANN for example: [NLG] [GULDEN] Guldencoin.com

Takes some time, but will come soon, i think.
