i will never quit this coin never

GeertJohan hasn't posted for months, no one has confirmed he has quit the coin.

Just ask him  Smiley he's on the Guldencoin IRC all the time https://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=guldencoin

but not respons

That's just a wild guess, that's impossible to know if your aren't in the channel.

Geert is in the transition of changing jobs, he will be moving over to his new company at the start of September. He has to handover his current workload to new person so has been under pressure and working late nights. He is still very much part of the guldencoin team and will be more active again from September on wards. Geert is still maintaining all services that he has developed for the coin.

I have put my money where my mouth was. I send GeertJohan a little donation in his tipjar and encourage everyone to do the same!  Grin

I also sent him some extra Guldencoin, I do this quite often tbh haha.

Thanks guys! Very much appreciated!

In the meantime I just had to take a few minutes of the difficulty algorithms and fix something else: adding some API's to the explorer so it can be used by coinmarketcap.com and other services.
The API's are quite simple:
https://explorer.guldencoin.com/sapi/blockreward
https://explorer.guldencoin.com/sapi/totalcoins

They mimic the blockchain.info API's (plain text results) so it's a drop-in replacement for existing services.

I also wrote some short documentation about the explorer and API's here: https://docs.guldencoin.com/services/explorer/
The totalcoins api uses data from our distribution system so it's the accurate number of coins in use right now, see the docs for more info.

Is the totalcoins API above (which coinmarketcap uses) being kept up to date?  By my math this is about 4 million off.. (assuming less than 150 million pre-mine left)     https://distribution.guldencoin.com/#/dev-premine hasn't been updated since February so I'm guessing this may be in the same situation?

if true /GeertJohan has quit guldencoin because of low price it won't be updated.
Rijk have you got another option to get the premine page updated?

Took a quick look at the official website, see footer and you'll find https://guldencoin.com/premine

Thanks for the link, I was getting concerned this info wasn't getting updated. Can it be put on first post for other users to see that don't look at the website and coin forums.

If used without a param, I agree it is a rather confusing number:
Mined coins (excluding premine) + Coins distributed among dutch citizens + Spent coins from the developer premine
(Taken from the doc)

Use either
https://explorer.guldencoin.com/sapi/totalcoins?type=mined (only mined block rewards total, excluding premine)
or
https://explorer.guldencoin.com/sapi/totalcoins?type=all (all coins; complete premine + mined block rewards)

Both are looking right to me.

In my post it says I won't settle for less basically, but we could do 250MHs for 30 days or 500MHs for 15 days if that is ok with the people buying the packages. We'll see. Halfway through in just a few days, plenty of time left Smiley

Looking to buy some myself as well too, waiting for some payments Smiley

As Buerra said we can cancel or just be flexible with the final number we get. We still have plenty time and we haven't advertised outside the forums yet.

Just a reminder for those that are interested in a community mining session (paid for with IPO) – more details here https://community.guldencoin.com/t/community-mining-ipo-switching-gears-session/1150

You get both your IPO coins and your share of the mined coins!

How much does a 500 mh miner cost?

You mean to actually, physically, buy one? About 2-3000 dollars maybe? Then you need it to run with some PSU's of 1800-2000 Watt, give or take, not sure. So you need to buy one of those too.

To rent it varies. So far this was the best deal I could find, but if I manage to buy cheaper I'll just extend the mining period with the money raised. No biggie.

What's the plan if it remains 50 packages taken? Cancel it or run half a month?

@Litesire someone posted this on one of the guldencoin forums. What do you think the difference in price would be if we stay on 1000 or we move to 100? Let me know if you need translation.
https://guldencoin.zone/threads/guldencoin-prijs.19/page-10#post-2614

Stay on 1000 rewards and you will need a very patient team and community that doesn't care about price but keeps building without seeing results. When last did you see /GeertJohan post on these forums or the main forum? I have no doubt he would be posting every day and doing development if the price was 2000 because he could see the results of his work gaining value. Higher price and marketcap brings in services without you asking for it. I build a service the first thing I do is add the top 20-50 coins and then look at others. A low price/marketcap coin can be ignored because folks building services don't have time to investigate the millions of other alt coins. This is why I went from a neutral stance to agreeing with the team. It's very unfortunate but it's the way the world works and it's human nature to pulled towards overall positive trends.

Price evaluations is what you asked for with bitcoin price about the same.

Next year:

1000 reward. 120 - 150  --> Marketcap would be slightly lower as price devalues by more then half but coin supply grows to cover the marketcap loss.
100 reward. > 600 --> Marketcap grows by just over double.

The above does not take into account high profile merchants or innovative development. Higher bitcoin price will also mean lower prices on both evaluations.

Look at the price . It only proves you right again that we would be going under 200.

under 200 cheap coins!!!

we must have a big campagne for guldencoin

the money? i think a big crowdfunding
