Couple days ago I did run a test about the sync time:
https://community.guldencoin.com/t/code-base-0-10-upgrade-project/1112/16

Your network use looks about right for the wallet running alone, but slow if there was other traffic included in that number.
If you are running other wallets in parallel while sync'ing, it will slow down loading of the chain.
The more wallets are running, the more time it will take to load the chain.
Still, looking at the times of your postings this looks anything else than normal.
As you can read in my post linked above, I was able to load the whole chain in 1 hr.
Even with some other wallets open and sync'ing from a VM (done a few weeks back) I haven't seen times above 3 hrs.

So something is not right there.
Either you are connected to terrible slow nodes or your internet connection actual has problems.

Hi Carlo,

We will be releasing the new wallets next month which will also increase the speed of the sync. The wallet should be syncing much faster then what you experiencing through. A full sync shouldn't take more then 4 hours unless your internet connectivity is not too good.

Please let us know if you have anymore questions.

Also the week thing is not reflective of how long it will take, unfortunately it is misleading but it's something we plan on changing in a future release to give a % of completion as opposed to the week your at on the sync.

i know the "weeks to go  don't tell the speed"  but i mean i had 52week to download so it's mean it was less than 5% complet
i m now at 26 weeks left +- 10% , 8 connection to the network, but no speed my connection is at idle 30-50kbps on the graph and there is other trafic too

it s not the 1st wallet what i downlaoding for days
i also downlaod other wallet a lot faster  like the bitcoin or litecoin  it a lot bigger and did take lot less time

Which operating system are you using? We recently did a test with Windows and it took around 60 minutes to download 1.4 (DELTA) version.

Honest opinions. I want to put a buy order under 300, what is the chances of 250 being hit again?

Potential for one more dip into the 200s while the block rewards are still 1000. All depends when the developers can deliver.

We can all hope a multi pool dumps out this week. Crossing fingers  Grin Grin

1000 reward is way too much for country coin, if coin was going for global then 1000 is fine. Look AUR, it hasn't released anything in over a year and has higher marketcap then guldencoin because supply is low. So reducing reward is good for coin and make it more competitive.

Holy shit didn't see AUR is ahead of guldencoin on coinmarketcap, that is crazy what over supply does to squash a coins true value.

You can check payments on an address at a Block Explorer like https://explorer.guldencoin.com/#/

Which version of the wallet are you running? I guess you need an update to the most recent wallet.

Community making this coin a huge success, lets see if the development team can keep up. Is the next release still coming next week (end July?)

Overnight we successfully built the windows wallet of the new codebase, today we will be doing OSX and start testing, but here is the kicker, we are probably looking at a middle of August for release as we are working on something else to be released with the code base update. More on this later but MaNI still to confirm if the idea can be implemented successfully.

Mid August still a reality... It will be a change if the team are able to stick to a schedule and not a repeat of the simulator project?

Simulator project was long before the new dev team structure was put into place. According to this post it was the 7th May and within a month DELTA was released, if they deliver the code base update mid August they are going very fast with updates.

He Spakler, know you from the Casinocoin thread.  Smiley  Welcome here in the Guldencoin thread  Smiley

I will test it with my GPU.

Edit: It works well!

Thanks! Casinocoin is somehow still great, but not much commitment in the past year. Hopefully they will get up to speed again. Besides that, this coin looks promising for now Smiley Hope i can service some miners in the near future.

Guldencoin is indeed very promising!
For example: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.11953465  Lot of development going on here to make it work at the stores and online stores for realtime use as currency. Good dev team also.

Just as Jero said, maybe dedicated miners will be back soon.
We need new fresh mining equipment for the level of dedicated miners to rise, from what i know SFARDS is the only company at the moment making new Scrypt chips and miners for 1000+$, maybe more will start making miners in the near future for the hobbyist miner.
