24Kilo quote: "In fact, expect network difficulty to hit new record highs and be 'stuck' for long periods of time."
That really does not sound good.
Depends on what "long periods of time" are. Check
http://nlgstats.iblogger.org/ and see that recently the gap time has been 68 minutes as longest. That is less that before that (where long was multiple hours), if it doesn't become worse than those 68 minutes, I'm more than happy with it.
I think Clever will leave or lower their hashrate drasticly in time. Needs a few days or a few weeks, who knows. Maybe their total hashrate will lower to 1 GH/s again soon instead of 10 GH/s now at these prices. Dedicated miners will take over again and it will be much more profitable for dedicated miners to rent hash or to mine. That will even further lower the Clever influence in time.
Other possibility is that Clever holds on for battle as priority, not profits as priority and raise their hashpower. But that won't be for long, I think.
I also think the 2.5 minutes blocktime is a big factor in readjustment time of the newtork, reacting on diff spikes. Would have been good to have tested the 75 sec. blocktime. Also the discussion of changing some parameters in DGW3 was there a few months ago, but Digishield seems better after the tests.
So I support the Digishield for now, because waiting took too long for dedicated miners.
