First of all, not the government that banned bitcoin and other decentralized currencies in Nigeria, in fact, there is nothing coming from the senators and house of representative concerning cryptocurrencies for now, nothing like banning cryptocurrencies in Nigeria. Only CBN banned cryptocurrencies, and this can not be more than disabling direct bank-to-crypto transactions and vice versa. And be it as it may, CBN will always hate cryptocurrencies, only what CBN like is naira.

Nobody can tell if cryptocurrencies will soon be legal in Nigeria or not, but this has to do with politics. No news lately concerning filing a law suit with the CBN about cryptocurrencies. This can be the beginning of CBN forced to accept cryptocurrencies, and I believe CBN will lose. We have a kind of legislative arm that do not know much about cryptocurrencies, they are all primitive and not competent enough (one of the reasons Nigeria is not having good development). No senator yet propose such bill to support cryptocurrencies. They all just remain mute about it and neither opposing it.

The CBN president said crypto transactions are not legitimate, this is false because fiat is not legitimate in design and mostly used in illicit activities.

About when CBN will make crypto transactions legal, who cares? We are still making use of cryptocurrencies and exchangimg it for naira, only that banks that charges ₦100 to ₦200 naira before for direct crypto-to-bank transactions are no more able to charge it again. Then who is losing? Not us.

CBN did not like MMM, but all what I read related to it was that MMM is a ponzi scheme, that it will later collapse and people that invested at the late period will lose. This was what actually happened. CBN just hate cryptocurrencies because they do not know much about it and because of their support for naira. CBN might thought going for cryptocurrencies could lead to devaluation of naira, but if Nigerians are trading with each other (naira to crypto and vice versa), there is no way this should lead to naira devaluation in my opinion, but just a way more Nigerians will invest and make profit.

Nigeria government has a love-hate relationship with cryptocurrency. They don't understand it so they hate it, they see the hype so they love it. There is no strong stance on the matter. The banks are the ones pushing for the ban. Do you guys remember the MMM ponzi in 2017, banks hated it because of the steady movement of money between accounts. Hi everyone, it has been more over 9 months nigeria ban crypto, is crypto going to legalize in nigeria again, it is taking took long time, I think it will only be less than 5 months before it will good back but there is nothing good now about crypto in nigeria. Crypto will have known more in nigeria but the government plans is to make crypto illegal as I see it now.

I am thinking the government nigeria is having a bad thing about crypto what they will still bring up to make sure nigeria people do not crypto again. Will crypto be like like china in nigeria or government will legalize it?

This is a very good idea in my opinion. Someome can be able to use the method to get pass some police but this might not be in all cases as some will also be very smart. Hiding apps and later discovering it is an indication of the person having illegal activities on his device, even if the person is clean, seeing some hidden apps will make the person unclean and more investigations will follow. The loans wey our government see a sey them dey collect from this chinese government would be repaid, and as for me no be by money, because the uses for the loan no get head, and many time them dey embezzle the whole funds, I really dey worried about the future outcome of the business our government and the Chinese Government they run.
