Crypto is the separation of Power and State.
It might be too late, as others also sell their pre-orders to fund AM blade buys.

How's the pre-order market doing, now that AM is selling unlimited quantities of blades?

If it's still healthy, maybe we should sell.  If it's collapsed, let's just double down on our pre-order bet.

I don't know if this poll is specific enough... If the question is "auction off one of the earliest-6 BFL preorders, my vote is an emphatic no.

If the question is "auction off one of the later batches of BFL preorders" then that is something I could go for.

I expect that the BFL preorder first hours people will see delivery very soon.  The rest of the people are going to be waiting months more.  BFL has not even ordered the volumes that they really need yet to meet more than their first week of preorders.  Any orders not in the first week can safely be sold in my opinion.  Another option is to wait until AM lowers their prices in response to the Avalon 39 TH/s shipping.

For now, given the ambiguity, I'd have to vote no.

I think it is not possible to be more specific. There are too many variables. OgNasty says it also depends on price. Later preorders are maybe not enough for the expensive ASICMINER hardware.

I understand that OgNasty is against this. I believe OgNasty only wants to see if overwhelming most members want to sell preorders.

 To me it's like canibalism

We have waited for so long. Probably the equity per share in BTC will be much lower than expected  however let's see the results of our actions.

I'm also one of the people who is betting on those early preorders, and I'm surely not suggesting selling all of those or even half. But sacrificing 1 or 2 of the 10 orders, (definitely not the first order Wink) combined with investing the current BTC holdings to obtain a serious piece of mining hardware, possibly even before any of the BFL orders have shipped, sounds like a great opportunity to me!

Most people got involved in this venture because of the early preorders.  It seems like a slap in the face to those people to auction some of them now.  That being said, if enough seat owners want to do this, I have no problem putting up a vote to see how everyone feels on the subject.  Personally, it would have to be an outrageous price for me to want to do it.
I agree with everything you just said.

I'm sure this has been asked before.  Have you guys thought of auctioning a part of your preorders and investing into the next batch of Friedcats cards?  I see another company doing this since they can get alot for these preorders.

Fuck no.

Why the overly determined "no"? Smiley Doesn't seem like such a terrible idea, since Friedcat ships nearly instantly.

In the latest bid for transparency, you can now view a screenshot from NASTY MINING's cgminer on the OP.

Very slick stuff.

I've also decided to switch our NASTY MINING Holdings to a vanity address.  The new address is: 1NASTYfxUpKPwin7b1KTBFjeeofrLSgXDJ

Does anyone else ready this vanity address as:

1 NASTY fx Up

UPDATE:
In the latest bid for transparency, you can now view a screenshot from NASTY MINING's cgminer on the OP.  This screenshot is automatically updated every 10 minutes.  A couple things to keep in mind when viewing...  We are now mining using our own P2Pool server, which leads to a higher number of rejects due to the mining rounds resetting frequently, but isn't an issue because of the way P2Pool works.  This can also cause the MH/s display to fluctuate drastically lower depending on what point in the round the screenshot was refreshed, so you should pay the most attention to the "avg" reading near the top left.  Looking at the share stats, you can see that 2 of our BFL Singles are experiencing a high rate of HW failures.  These singles were purchased used at a discount from another forum member several months ago with the intent of being traded in.  Any MH/s shortcomings are hopefully not considered a large concern, as I am still donating the hashing power from my personal Jalapeno & 2 BFL Singles to the operation and they will all be traded in for SCs before too much longer.

We are now running a P2Pool server on the local network using a newly purchased dedicated Linux machine.

It is very exciting to go to http://p2pool.info and click on active users and see the nastyfans donation address in top 10. Thank you OgNasty!

Bad luck this week?

I had the same thought. Very low payment even though new hardware arived.

We had some issues this week that kept the donations a little lower than usual.  The new cgminer was causing our miners to become "zombies" which is why we got the Linux machine running.  That problem appears to be solved.  I also raised the payout amount on our pools to 0.5 from 0.1, which caused a little backlog while the new limit was reached on our 3 different pools.  Further testing of our P2Pool server and 25% of the donations going toward our savings also contributed along with the increasing difficulty.
