1/4 yesterday. Bad.

Well, I am late to place my bets today so I guess I will just go for live betting for the ongoing ones. But later could be a great matchup. Warriors versus Clippers.

Here are my bets for the remaining games.

Oklahoma City Thunder - Atlanta Hawks - Oklahoma City Thunder (-10.5)
Golden State Warriors - Los Angeles Clippers - Golden State Warriors (-7.5) @1.71 only. -9.5 is @1.97.

I am kind of confused why, the Clippers ain't that bad of a team, they just defeated the Nuggets yesterday or maybe it's because of the back-to-back games. Well, good luck with your bets everyone!

Some Sunday picks as we get underway with today's games.  Nothing groundbreaking here.  I'm expecting the Bucks and Pelicans to win and with the Hawks being undefeated I'm hoping they can stay in the game with the Thunder.  Good luck!

Brooklyn Nets - Milwaukee Bucks
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Milwaukee Bucks

Portland Trail Blazers - New Orleans Pelicans
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
New Orleans Pelicans

Oklahoma City Thunder - Atlanta Hawks
Handicap (Incl. Overtime)
Atlanta Hawks (12.5)

Odds
3.10

I also made this same bet with a Trump presidential victory added in, as I plan to do with all my picks while it is still possible.

Lots of games later. Here are my picks.

Denver Nuggets - Los Angeles Clippers - Denver Nuggets (-6.5) - They played badly last time, they know it and they will probably change.
Detroit Pistons - Boston Celtics - Boston Celtics (-11.5) The Core and bench of this team are strong, even with an injured Tatum and Brown, they can still win games and overwhelm them.
Chicago Bulls - Oklahoma City Thunder - Oklahoma City Thunder (-10.5) OKC is strong, they have one of the offensive players in my opinion. They will win this, I just hope they hit the handicap.
Phoenix Suns - Dallas Mavericks - Dallas Mavericks (-1.5) - Must watch. Rivalry game.

Good luck everyone!!!

Detroit will host the Pacers, we all know how bad Detroit was from last season, and the Pacers had one of their best, so with that, I might go with the Pacers at -3.5 at 1.82 odds.

I agree with it, they were a bad team last season, and I do like the pick. However, in my book, it's at -4.5 now with 1.92 odds. From what we’ve seen in the first two games, the winning team usually wins by a big margin, so I think they can cover the spread. The Pacers are strong and score a lot, so if they dominate, a double-digit win seems pretty likely. Good luck, I’m tailing too but with a higher spread.

If Pacers will push the win I agree that it can be a double digit lead seems that bookies favoring a bit the homecourt advantage of Detroit but comparing how these two team played the game  Pacers is more superior than Detriot not unless there's something that bookies are seeing to give this kind of a close margins, no spare for now but I like the handicap for Pacers. Good luck!

Sorry for the late reply but the Pacers had won already and so it was a big W for me.

And speaking of Buddy Hield as a Warrior,

Quote
Buddy Hield has led the Warriors in points (49) and made 3-pointers (12) in his first two games with the franchise and the Warriors have won both games by a combined margin of 77 points, the largest margin of victory to begin a season in NBA history.

https://www.nba.com/warriors/news/buddy-hields-warriors-tenure-off-to-historic-start-20241025

And there was another record that I saw in my Facebook feed, but I forget to capture it.

Probably he can also a great candidate for the 6th man of the year award for this season, and could be a winner if he continues with this consistent numbers.

Yeah he got a good numbers but it's too early for that, I'm pretty sure that teams will have their adjustments to be more competitive, and adding to that, regular season mostly the trial part for each system and strategy for each coaches, then as far as improvement's concern there's trade deadline that can change the direction of the team that will gain better benefits from the trade that they'll take.

Moving back to the game seems that Mavs vs Suns and Lakers vs Kings are games that might excite the fans and the bettors, good luck!

Since the reg season is in. And after Suns just lost to the Lakers, I think that they're going to lose against Mavs with their next game and so, I am betting with the Mavs. Klay says enough with all of the preseason hippy dippy fun on him.

Might be a decent bet, considering it's a back-to-back game for them, and they just blew a 22-point lead to lose to the Lakers. Same story happened with the Clippers in their first game, though they managed to push it to OT and pull off a win.

Right now, it feels like nothing has changed with this team – they still lack depth, and they can’t seem to hold onto a big lead. Honestly, I’m thinking they might miss the semis again or even have an early exit if they do make the playoffs.
I get you despite that they've got superstars and they're the most stacked roster there spending a lot of money for their roster, still, they don't go that far. Well, we're going to see if they will miss it or not. The season is still has a long way to go so, let's just see how it's going to be with the Suns but then, I think that Mavs will be able to make it back again the both conf. finals and NBA finals.

I'm also trusting the Pelicans against the Blazers later today. They're already on a good start after beating the Bulls so I doubt they'll have a problem dispatching this Blazers team that got blown out by the Warriors.

This would be a road test for the Pelicans since the Blazers used to be a decent home underdog last season when it came down to the spread.

Heat lost against the Magic, Bam and Jimmy's stats aren't impressive.
I lost my bet on that one too. I had the home team covering that low spread, but they ended up getting blown out by the Magic.

Quote
GSW won.

They carried that momentum right into the regular season, and it ended with a 35-point victory with contributions from everyone. Buddy Hield was the leading scorer with 22 points, and he only played 15 minutes- talk about being impressive.
Another spectacular performance of Buddy Hield there, another splash bro indeed, in the making.  Grin

Whilst, Clippers and the Suns are on game now and they're at OT after ending Q4 in 103-103. KD got it.

That was an epic matchup, especially with Harden carrying the team in the second half. The OT was the Suns' only chance to cover the spread, but they ended up winning by just 3 points. If Booker hadn't fouled out, they might have been able to dominate the Clippers in OT.
It's okay, the important thing there that they've still won. Suns opponent tonight is Los Angeles Lakers, this is a good match and let's see who's going to have their first loss.

As I said, that Denver Nuggets ML was not a recommended bet. I was right all along, but I was stuck as a Jokic fan. Ergh. They didn't play well, Jokic got his normal triple-double but Murray was not there. Was it defense? I doubt that. It's a low-scoring game so I am guessing both offensive teams are just trying to heat up for now.
For some reason I've been getting up around 5 am in the last few weeks, so just in time to catch Dario Saric debut and damn, Nuggets looked bad. I thought that those preseason losses are just because Jokic didn't really care much, but this didn't look good at all. Murray not on his level (while playing for 38 minutres whihc was imho weird decision by malone), almost non existent bench, atrocious 3 pts shooting..

Hopefully its just 1 bad game and they show more vs Clippers on Sunday.
Hopefully. I don't like watching the Denver Nuggets playing like this. They are an offensive team and Jokic can create a lot of openings but they are not hitting them right. I don't even know how he still got those 13 assists, considering how bad their offense is. The Thunder is a great team but 87-102, that sucks.

@OgNasty, I like your picks. I am going to steal the Warriors' pick and the Pelicans too.
Here are my choices.

Utah Jazz - Golden State Warriors - Golden State Warriors (-2.5)
Portland Trail Blazers - New Orleans Pelicans - New Orleans Pelicans (-3.5)
Cleveland Cavaliers - Detroit Pistons - Cleveland Cavaliers (-10.5)

The Lakers are the favorite against the Suns, I think it's because Bradley Beal is probable to play and their two best defenders Allen and Okogie.

I might also try a parlay but with different handicaps. Good luck everyone. Wink

Some picks for today.  Not feeling great about these but it's so early in the season there is only so much you can do.  Still, the odds seemed good for what should be a bunch of outcomes that surprise nobody.  I also did a second parlay bet with a Trump Presidential victory attached.  That would be a nice one to have hit, for many reasons.  Smiley

Yes, unfortunately, it was the other way around for the Nuggets, I thought that the home court advantage as well will be huge for them. But it seems that OKC has other things in mind, SGA again leading the team. And it seems that they are really comfortable with each other, as the last season was really big for them as they almost made it to the Western Conference finals.

SGA is still super consistent, and their defense has really stepped up, especially with Caruso bringing his defensive skills into the team. But man, it’s just one game...the Nuggets are bound to adjust, and we can count on that. Up next, they’re hosting the LA Clippers, so Westbrook’s got a showdown with his old team. Should be a great matchup, and I think the Nuggets can bounce back, especially since the Clippers are currently undermanned.

On the other hand, Klay proved that he still has it, with 22 points grabbing 7 rebounds, and he had a good percentage as well shooting that 3 ball. And that makes the Mavs very dangerous team if Klay will be consistent to help the team and maybe averaging close to 20 points a night.
Yeah, totally different from his preseason performance. Hopefully, he finds some consistency because Dallas really needs him to bring that same intensity...or even better....every game.

@danherbias07 - I will tail you with the Nuggets here, too bad, Phoenix win but it wasn't enough to cover the -3.5 for me Sad

As for the Nuggets vs Thunder, I think the homecourt advantage too of the Nuggets might bring enough energy for them to take this win. And I'm expecting Jamal and Russ to be on fire in this game. It might be a close one as we all know that last season, the Thunder was a surprised team, lead by SGA.

When everyone’s piling on one side, this is what we get

Man, I thought the Nuggets would have a solid edge at home, especially in the season opener. But, wow, they got blown out by OKC. That third quarter was the game-changer, with OKC pulling off a 10-point lead – once a team catches fire like that, especially in the third, they usually close it out strong, which is exactly what happened here.

Murray had a rough night, going 4-for-13, and I expected Westbrook to make a splash, but his debut didn’t click either, ending with 2-for-10. I’ll definitely keep this game in mind for my next bet – after a game like this, they’ll probably come out with major adjustments.

2/3 Not bad.
Just a 0.5 win on that Mavericks versus Spurs game. That made me bite my finger for a while there. Cheesy Klay Thompson is lighting the fire for the Mavs with 22 points in just 26 minutes of playtime. 6/10 in the 3-point field and this probably is one of his best games after being traded. (including the preseason)
It's true, the Mavs just got scarier on the offensive end. I might try some over-total scores with them next time.

The OKC picked right up from where the left of last season and they totally floored the Denver Nuggets right on their home court, I don’t know If I should say the Nuggets were or the Thunder were just simply better, both facts can coexists, though. Thunder struggled a lot with their shots in the first half, especially early into the first quarter as both teams were shooting awfully, but OKC were able to step it up as the game progressed while Denver couldn’t get any better, and the match got completely put of hands in the 3rd quarter. Denver’s biggest problem still pretty much lies in the non-Jokic minutes, they just can’t seem to stay poised when he’s on the bench, even if they can’t get any better offensively when Jokic is catching his breath, they really need to stop blowing their leads or getting left too far behind during matches.

It's a bit difficult for the Nuggets although I believe Jamal could catch fire anytime. 40 for SGA is also unsure so it's up to you. This is a battle of offense so we can expect a high-scoring game.

Good luck everyone and I hope we all win our bets.

That’s just a bonus, but if you're betting on this team, you gotta be hopeful. There's a cap, up to $100 only..but still, not bad since it’s just extra if it works out. The tricky part is if you wanna bet against them, but you’re tempted by that double win... gotta think, think, think. Grin
