What happened last year to Miami Heat in their playoff run seems unlikely to happen again, especially if they'll face the Celtics in the first round. If they were play against the Bucks again in 1st round it might be possible since the Bucks seems shaky now. But if the Heat make it to the playoffs in the first round and beat the Celtics what happened last season could happen again. Because I think if they can beat the Celtics it'll be easy for them to defeat the teams in Semi and Conference Finals.
Miami already gives up most of their core players back then that contributes a lot with their good run like Gabe Vincent and Max Struss while Duncan Robinson is still injured. Miami Heat current roster even with Herro coming is not the same with their sharp 3 pointers back then during clutch. This is the reason why they beat Boston and Bucks back then even though they seem an underdog with their line-up.
Clutch Jimmy Butler and Adebayo is not enough to do a miracle run like what they did last year since their 3 points shot is their main weapon back then to kill this monster team that is so good on paint.
Yup, there's a big difference with the current lineup compared to who they've got last season, though Jimmy, Bam and Herro still rotates the same system but that 3-points productions with Duncan, Gabe and Max that's really works well with how they rotate the ball, and with that last season squad, the confidence is something that blends them well.
Though not done yet for the Miami as they can extend their campaign if they manage to beat the Bulls and who knows, if they managed to upset the Celtics last season we might see another one, though that chance is really slim as Boston's squad improves a lot and with how Tatum and Brown leads the offense, it's really a different competition in case Miami move up for the final birth for the east playoff.
