Updated record 15-15 (50%) ---loss all my 4 picks. 0-4

Starting a fresh journey after the all star break (no more break this time) Cheesy

I got these teams winning later.

1- Suns -4. A back to back game but it's a must win in Houston. Bradly Beal Still out, but let Book and Durant take care of the business.
2-Clippers -9 - they are not the Bucks, sure they can beat this undermanned team.
3-Wolves -4.5 - Bucks might continue to struggle and Wolves might still owned them.
4-Lakers -10 - Both teams are playing back to back, but Lakers are back at home, though Lebron is still "Q", I think the home team can handle the Spurs.

Mavericks vs Suns
The Phoenix Suns entered the All-Star break in top form. In the last matchup between these two teams, Phoenix won against Dallas despite being down in the first half. The games between these two teams usually end in Dallas' favor. Phoenix broke that resistance in the last matchup, but it wasn't easy. Dallas has led at halftime against Phoenix in each of the last eight matchups. In such a tough matchup, the trend seems worth betting on. I'm going with Dallas.

Cavaliers vs Magic
Cleveland had a great streak before the All-Star break and was the best team coming into the break. They have escaped from the tough environment in the Eastern Conference and are chasing at the top Boston. The Cavaliers have been especially effective at home and although Donovan Mitchell's illness is a concern, the fact that he has started practicing is encouraging. Orlando, on the other hand, has finished 6 of its last 7 games with high scores. Paolo Banchero may miss a game for the first time this season. It will be good to check his status at game time. I believe that Cleveland will not be easily defeated at home and will come out victorious in this game.

Well, you got 1 win and that is the Dallas Mavericks versus the Phoenix Suns, Devin Booker was working pretty much in this game he was really struggling in pursuing a win but Luka Doncic's curse has gotten into the Phoenix Suns once again as he decimated the Suns with a Double-double of 11 assist and 41 points, with a little help from Kyrie Irving, but maybe the recent beef of Luka Doncic has come alive again and was pretty much shown in this game.

Now the Result of my picks for games was Yesterday and it was really awful all my picks were lost this time, and not having an edge with the odds helped.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. New York Knicks

Philadelphia 76ers (1.87) - LOST - I thought that the Philadelphia 76ers would have their way as even though they don't have Joel Embiid I thought they can still do it, but the teamwork and play of Brunson to the team has got a major role for them, as Josh Hart and Precious Achiuwa had a great defensive and offensive rebounding for the team, while Bojan Bogdanovic and Donte DiVincenzo was great in getting those scores when the team needed the most.

Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers (2.52) - LOST - Now I thought having the backup of the refs would make the Los Angeles Lakers dominated the game was not really enough, it was the ferociousness of the offense of the Golden State Warriors was really enough to bust that Free Throw contingency that the referees was giving to the Lakers, and Anthony Davis and Lebron James can not get Stephen Curry has shown why he is the goat on this game with the help of Andrew Wiggins and Trace Jackson-Davis the Warriors have conquered even though the Lakers does have the help of the referee's.

Toronto Raptors - Brooklyn Nets - Brooklyn Nets ML - Loss! I didn't find out the news about Coach Vaughn being fired. How I discovered it before I made the bet.
Indiana Pacers - Detroit Pistons - Indiana Pacers (-10.5) - Win! No problem for the Pacers.
Philadelphia 76ers - New York Knicks - New York Knicks ML - Win! Another no problem.
Chicago Bulls - Boston Celtics - Boston Celtics (-7.5) - Win! It's an easy win for the Celtics.
Dallas Mavericks - Phoenix Suns - Dallas Mavericks (-1.5) - Win! That was a fun offensive game.
New Orleans Pelicans - Houston Rockets - New Orleans Pelicans (-5.5) - Win! No Ingram, no problem.

Later. 10 games.
I would not check for exhausted teams who will play back-to-back games. They just came from a long vacation so I bet they still have the energy.

Here are my picks.
Atlanta Hawks - Toronto Raptors - Atlanta Hawks (-4.5) - I wish the Hawks had their good rest, they better be a consistent team now. Capela seems to be out of the injury reports too.
Philadelphia 76ers - Cleveland Cavaliers - Cleveland Cavaliers (-2.5) - After that loss against the Magic yesterday, that may have warmed them up.
Houston Rockets - Phoenix Suns - Phoenix Suns (-2.5) - This team is also angry after losing against the Mavs, they might try to force a win on this one.
Memphis Grizzlies - Los Angeles Clippers - Los Angeles Clippers (-10.5) - They lost against the OKC Thunder, but I doubt they will against the Grizzlies although I would not underestimate those young players there.
Golden State Warriors - Charlotte Hornets - Golden State Warriors (-10.5)
Portland Trail Blazers - Denver Nuggets - Denver Nuggets (-10.5)

That's it. Good luck everyone, have a nice day.

I'm listing the games that I'm interested in betting and my possible picks which are bolded.

Clippers +2 vs OKC
Lakers +4.5 vs Warriors
Suns +3 vs Dallas

These three games look like playoff matchups; this should end up as close games, and I love the underdog here taking a few points that could lead to a win if indeed it's going to be close. Also, just for fun, I'm taking a parlay on all moneyline of my bets.

Not a good start mate, you would have gone perfect if you had taken the opposite side. It's the home teams that had dominated the games since all these three home teams had won via double digit.

Dallas by 10
OKc by 22
Warriors by 18 (LA playing without Lebron)

We are back! Finally!
Here are my picks for today!

Toronto Raptors - Brooklyn Nets - Brooklyn Nets ML @1.99
Indiana Pacers - Detroit Pistons - Indiana Pacers (-10.5) @1.74 - Aaron Nesmith is out for the Pacers. Well, they have Haliburton so this should be easy.
Philadelphia 76ers - New York Knicks - New York Knicks ML @1.97 - Still no Randle, Robinson, and OG. Now, no Hartenstein and Bojan Bogdanovic are probable to play for the Knicks. But, I am still hoping Brunson could lift his team up.
Chicago Bulls - Boston Celtics - Boston Celtics (-7.5) @1.82 - Patrick Williams and Torey Craig are both not available to play due to injuries. Boston has a full healthy roster on the other hand.
Dallas Mavericks - Phoenix Suns - Dallas Mavericks (-1.5) @1.90 - This will be a fun rivalry game. We know Doncic and Booker had always been playing a competitive game whenever they met. We will see. Bradley Beal is questionable to play.
New Orleans Pelicans - Houston Rockets - New Orleans Pelicans (-5.5) @1.68 - Brandon Ingram is questionable to play for the Pelicans but they are on their third winning streak and they are playing at home and I wish they can continue it.

That's it for me, going for live betting on the remaining games.
Good luck everyone and have a great day. Wink

Celtics ML / K. Porzingis 2+ 3pts @1.97

The first couple of games right after the All-Star weekend are often tricky. I've seen anomalies and inconsistencies in player/team performance after extended breaks before. Hopefully, this will not affect the Celtics and Porzingis.

KP has covered 2+ 3pts in 5/L5 and 9/L10. I wouldn't say volume is there since he's only averaging around 5 3pt attempts per game /L10, but his 3pt% is rather high at around 48%. He does land a favorable matchup in Vucevic, a below-average defender, and the Bulls as a team rank near the bottom of the league in defending catch-and-shoot threes.

Agreed I'm laying off of any betting except maybe betting against the Lakers.  Bron nursing a bum ankle and I know they don't want that to linger so he might get some bench time here.  Other than that enjoying the next couple of days without laying down on them until the break dust settles.

Tough loss by the Dallas that time as they loss by 23 points. 132-109 was the score.
However, Irving was out that time and this game later he is gonna play with his new crew as well. The line up will be tested but I believe Dallas are gonna avenge their loss and will beat the Suns.

Cavaliers vs Magic

Cleveland hasn't been playing well at home recently. On their first game from a road trip, 76ers beat them, and then in the 2nd, although they won but the Bulls made it a close game losing by 3 points only. Maybe they will win but will not cover the spread, so I'm gonna ride with the moneyline here.

The ticket looks good. This should hit, all the good teams might likely win since they have a good break, no more back to back games or playing 3 games in 4 nights schedule that could lead to the fatigue factor. Here, nothing to consider a lot since the break was long and they are back fresh. I will follow the parlay. Thank you for sharing it here, last time I checked, you hit your parlay bet so I trust you.

Well, I haven't made a bet for the All-Star games but watching it surely was enjoyable, and in the Special 3 point Challenge against Stephen Curry VS Sabrina Ionescu it was Stephen Curry who got the Goat Belt, while the G League Mac McClung was the one that wins the Slam Dunk Contest for sure he was very entertaining to watch in the Dunk Contest, Tyrese Haliburton lost because Dame time defended his title in the Regular 3 point Challenge, the Skill Challenge was a win for the Indiana Pacers Team and the East with Giannis Antetokounmpo winning the All-Star games and lastly Damian Lillard won the Kobe Bryant All-Star Game MVP, sorry man all your bet lost.

Nah, I still won two. Mac McClung won the dunk contest and the East All-Star team won the game.
I may have not been delighted at how the All-Star game ended but the three-point shootout was definitely something worth watching again.

Finally, the long rest is over. We have 12 games tomorrow. Wow!
The Golden State Warriors and the LA Lakers are on the lineup. But, it won't be the same as what happened the last time they met where Lebron and Steph went crazy and the game was so intense and it ended with just a 1-point difference, that I may say was one of the best games in the season.
Lebron James is listed to not play because of an ankle problem and I think it happened during the All-Star where he rested in the whole 4th quarter because of it.
What a waste, I was looking forward to both super veterans clashing one more time.

This is interesting now that the All-Star games have been settled it is time for us to get back into the regular games and for the start of the games we have 12 games going into the NBA for tomorrow's games, so here are my picks for tomorrow's NBA games.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. New York Knicks

Philadelphia 76ers (1.87) - For this game, I think this will be a close game, or maybe not but because Joel Embiid, De'Anthony Melton, and Robert Covington can not play for the 76ers while Julius Randle, OG Anunoby and Mitchell Robinson can not play for the Knicks this is going to be a hard pick, but for this one I really like the Philadelphia 76ers my pick goes to them as there are many questionable players for the New York Knicks that has a chance of not playing so my pick is the Philadelphia 76ers.

Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers (2.52) - For this game, Chris Paul still has a hand injury and can not play for the Warriors while Gabe Vincent and Jarred Vanderbilt can not play for the Lakers, I think even though the Golden State Warriors is a great team that can surely win a game right now because of Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski, and Trayce Jackson-Davis against the Los Angeles Lakers extra team, and I am talking about the referee's that could give the Lakers an edge with the Free Throws that is for sure, that is why my pick is the Los Angeles Lakers.

They don't have the momentum and they are quite inconsistent recently, so it wasn't surprising at all. The last shot attempt could have force the game into overtime but there was a miscommunication on the screen and Lillard loss the ball and just throw the last shot without a clean look. That's a lesson to learn for them, if they can't beat an undermanned team, how much more the stronger teams.

It really feels like the Milwaukee Bucks betrayed their fans in this game, that was really an upsetting game many believed that the Milwaukee Bucks could surely win that night but because of the inconsistent play of Damian and Giannis it ended up in a lost and against a very outnumbered and no all-star players team, it was really hilarious for the Milwaukee Bucks losing that game, and I admit if I bet on that game I also have lost to that because certainly, I will go with the team that surely have a 100% chance on winning, that is why this is absurd when they lost to the Grizzlies.

I might go for Ionescu here. I am a fan of these two players and I am also a fan of NBA and WNBA. I think Ionescu has a touch that will give her the win in this game although I don't doubt Steph Curry will keep the game as close as possible.

Anyway, here is my bet line for the All-Star events later and tomorrow.

NBA All-Star 2024 - Three-Point Challenge Shootout - Winner
Ionescu, Sabrina @2.80

NBA All-Star - Slam Dunk Contest - Winner
McClung, Mac @1.36

NBA All-Star - Three-Point Contest - Winner
Haliburton, Tyrese @5.50

NBA All-Star 2024 - Skills Challenge - Winner
All-Starts, Team @2.60 Tyrese Maxey, Trae Young, and Scottie Barnes.

And for the All-Star MVP.
NBA All-Star - Most Valuable Player
Haliburton, Tyrese @9.00

Well, we are playing in Indiana so I am expecting they will feed the ball to Hali most of the time and try to shoot those awkward-style three-pointers.

With the NBA All-Stars coming within the next few hours, what is your bet?

Mine is WEST ALL-STARS -3

The West vs. East format in the All-Star game is back after several years of using the Team Captain format. West is the heavy favorite to win this game. West is loaded with talents, with LeBron leading the way, Luka and Shai at the backcourt, and Durant and Jokic as forward and center. Before doing the Team Captain format, West is dominating the All-Star with a record of 6-2 against the East since 2010 up to 2017. With that, I think the West All Stars can win this all the way.
I am betting the other way. The underdogs.

East All-Stars - West All-Stars - East All-Stars ML @2.11
And my All-Star MVP will be...
NBA All-Star - Most Valuable Player - Haliburton, Tyrese

Yeah, we are back to the old format. I guess the NBA management has realized that their new format is not working and it's too damn confusing, especially for the betting lines. Grin
While they cannot think of something new again, it's better to just put it back to old school.

I don't see much competition for Mac McClung in the slam dunk contest. He should be able to defend his title. I wish i had taken him at 1.60, odds have dropped a lot since it first opened, making it almost unplayable now.

My only bet for tonight is Lauri Markkanen to score 20+ in R1. I might even sprinkle some on him to win the contest, why not? Lauri is shooting 40% on the season, /L5 at 42%. He did compete in Utah last year and finished with 20 despite missing both deep balls and going 1/5 on his moneyball rack. He needs to move the moneyball rack from being at the end though, you get there in rhythm and all but also fatigued. It should be placed on the left wing or at the top of the key, where Lauri shoots best.

Good one! I didn't notice there was that kind of line in the All-Star.
Anyway, I don't want to miss anything now so I checked if there's a player props but sadly there's none yet in my favorite sports bookie.
I checked sportsbet and they have something else available.
Here they are.
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/basketball/usa/nba-all-star-game/west-all-stars-v-east-all-stars-65cc8a383b5f150001345cce

I am hoping they can add more to the player statistics. It will be nice to predict the numbers of each player will record since we are back in the old way.
Anyway, the over total score is 359.5. Seems reachable since we know they won't play hard defense in this event. It will be another highlights after highlights.

Good luck with your bets everyone and enjoy the show.

Betting one way or another is too hard.  I'm hitting the under on 364.  Most years have hit the under and while the first 3 quarters have been a free for all with no defense the 4th quarter tightens up.  For whatever reason the over under on Luka points is 10.5 I hit that over hard.  He should be showcased here now this year.  And haliburton with 9.5 assists I banged the over.  He is gonna be lobbing the ball for dunks all game.  Took some other overs, 23.5 on Tatum (he dropped 50 last year).

However, it was Dame time yet again, he defended his title, KAT was only able to make the final round.

KAT and Trae Young both reached the Finals; bettors could have cashed in big money if one of them had won the competition. If I recall correctly, the odds were around x6.5 for Trae Young and x7.00 for KAT. This big man is more reliable than the other bigs; I mean, he has done it before, so there's always the confidence in him. Still, a fun competition to watch. I just miss Curry; things could have been different or easier for him.

I'm not sure if there was a line movement as this article show a different odds.

Quote
2024 NBA 3-Point Contest participants, odds
See who to back at SportsLine
Damian Lillard +450
Tyrese Haliburton +480
Trae Young +550
Donovan Mitchell +650
Jalen Brunson +650
Karl-Anthony Towns +700
Lauri Markkanen +700
Malik Beasley +850

Lillard was the heavy favorite and he indeed won the competition, it wasn't a dominant performance, just enough to get a back to back title. KAT could tied with Lillard, but he miss the last shot with 2 points score. I would say the bet almost won if it's on KAT but still fall short. Does anyone here able to predict the winner?
