Gate.io is indeed one of the exchangers who is always successful in organizing IEO. Demand from investors always exceeds the target and sometimes because the token limit is sold quite a bit, investors only get a small allocation. Investing in IEO is good as long as IEO is a great exchanger whereas if we want to invest in established coins, in my opinion the top 10 coin marketcap is a good choice

In my opinion, you should hold your coins without having to exchange other coins or change your plan because the number of coins you have is in the right coin position to invest.
and it would be better if you make a purchase when Bitcoin and Ethereum are reduced so you have more coins and plan to invest long term because Bitcoin and Ethereum are the best coins in cryptocurrency.

it's really hard to join the IEO program in binance, I tried several times and it never worked, but if it succeeds in joining it's very lucky, because at least IEO in binance when traded it will make ATH and make a profit at least x2-x5. but so far some coins are down because market conditions are bearish, so it's good to buy some IEO at low prices.

Also if you want to invest in projects listing in binance ,kucoin,okex and some top exchanges then it is good to go but if you are not sure, it will be good you leave your funds in bitcoin and ethereum as it is already. Those two are also good investment

if you wanna invest in something, you MUST know what you expect first. it can give you a 'rule' before investing.
for example, you have to know:

1 how many profit which you expect
2 how long you will invest
3 how many risk you wanna take
4 how you manage your money

You have to answer all those question, so you will understand what investment which is suitable for you.

For finding a suitable investment strategy, answering these stated questions will not clear the mind of OP. Even the short term bear market can destroy the long dreams in case of taking emotional trades like panic selling or closing the profit faucet after successful trades. The risk/reward ratio is important to understand the market volatility which is normal for the cryptocurrencies, investing in the volatile digital assets is quite risky.

I agree with you when you stated that he should keep his BTC (and also ETH which you didn't include) for now looking at the market situation. BTC had halving news next year and ETH has staking news (ETH 2.0 launch soon) hence I think it's best to keep his current holdings.

holding bitcoin might be the best option right now because of incoming halving
you can an also invest in some popular altcoin but the risk is still high
investing in IEO/ICO have a higher risk because you dont know if the coin will still continue

Here i disagree with you mate, as we know about the critical situation of the market that we are at holding zone so we should only invest for holding and that will be possible if you invest your money for long term. For short term investing you must have golden coin and golden time to buy it otherwise I like to hold long term.

The only thing that I am sure with the market is there is no chance for us to choose what is the right time to invest because that doesn't exist. You should not waste time by thinking that next year will be a good year, you should start now and learn from doing mistakes and do not be afraid to lose all of your money since you are starting small.

Long term and short term investment I think have choose potential altcoin for investing, you can choose ethereum or ripple to invest because have good rank on coin market cap to invest, I think you enough money for investing with good altcoin and keep long term holding to get much profit with your investing.

With that much money you cannot invest in IEO and choose good projects, because usually good projects hold IEO in large exchanges with a minimum of large investment as well.
I would advise you to buy coins that are already in exchange and have good potential at a low price
