He got the scammer tag for selling shares in his company, and then not honoring the agreement he made with shareholders. Specifically, unilaterally ceasing operations of BitcoinGlobal without shareholder consent. Even if his "cleanest shutdown in the history of Bitcoin" eventually ekes through on the good side of scammer, it doesn't change his actions toward the shareholders.

Nothing short of the use of a time machine can make things right here.

James has been really good about replying to me lately, and I'm happy to say that after the claims in process, there will be less than 100 Cognitive shares in limbo Smiley

I agree. Nefario seems to be refunding everyone and providing accurate lists.

I do not think Nefario deserves the scammer tag.

Let him repay all the money first, then we can think about taking his scammer tag off.

I still have received no email replies, or payouts for the funds that were never returned (8BTC).

I just received an email from James McCarthy.

I had been sending him and email weekly stating that I had still not received the balance of my account (a moderate sum.)

The email was as follows:

"Hi Q.
payments are being made tonight and tomorrow.

"

We will see if he comes through.

Without reliable public claims we cannot determine if there are thousands of BTC unpaid or not.
But look at what Nefario announced today:

Quote from: blog.glbse.com
Next steps
I'm going to be going over emails I've gotten in the last couple of days from people who havn't been able to access their account (lost their password or 2fa), and a few other asset holders issues.
The next update on those lists will be tomorrow (Sunday), following that I'll be doing more payouts(several have been done over the last week).

Do you mean thousands of coins to be paid out by Nefario or just thousands of coins in form of GLBSE assets to be released by passing the data to the issuers?

I am talking about direct BTC deposits. I thought this was common knowledge, I know at least one account with thousands stuck in there. Don't take my word for it if you don't want to; I won't disclose the user here. It had been mentioned in a forum post though.

But I never saw anyone declaring he was waiting for a hundred BTC or more. People are ranting here for a few BTC or less, not received by them.

My guess is, people who have more in there are much more careful about what they do and have no time nor reason to come rant here.

Nefario is still working:

I've received email from James regarding double payment (yes finally) with personal address to send the excess coins.
Transaction made!!! Will let you know when my assets are with the issuers.

Some movement, yesterday Nefario sent my shares to gigavps, now I'm on the list.

So my bitcoins are back and my GIGAMINING shares are at gigavps. I had some ASICMININIG shares, don't know about them.

Just to let you know Wink

You sound as if 90% of all deposits were returned, but that's not the case. There are people with thousands of coins in there who haven't received a dime back.
Maybe we are wrong and only several thousands BTC was returned so far.

I assure you, there is at least one user who has thousands BTC but have not been returned. I believe he has reasons to remain silence from the public but he had never given up contacting Nefario privately, though without much effect.

I will watch out the recent move of Nefario, if he can really return the bitcoin and asset without much dispute.

I seriously wonder what's in his mind at the moment. Doesn't he realise that this behaviour achieves nothing but infuriating people? If you're going to run away with the money, do it properly.

He returned only 90%, not 100% Bitcoins, in the asset holders account.
Still 10% balance is there, which has to be returned, without any answer when it will be returned.

He returned only 90%, not 100% Bitcoins, in the asset holders account that too for only some holders, not to all.
Still 10% balance is there in asset holders account who got back the 90%, which has to be returned, without any answer when it will be returned.

EDITED.

gigavps, Why do you think Nafario only gave G1GAVPS a partial list?

I've seen three reasons there is only a partial list.

  • The asset holder did not make a claim on glbse.com after nefario put up the claims process.
  • The asset holder has received a double payment so nefario is holding that persons information hostage until the coins are returned.
  • The asset holder is not on the list for some explainable reason.

I have talked with at least 10 people who have fallen in to the third bullet point there. It's not good.

I can confirm this.  I have an asset with another asset issuer, I have not received any double payments and I have entered in my information.  I received the 2 bitcoins I had on GLBSE before it was shut down and received those bitcoins during the first round of coins being sent out.

Just as Nefario improperly sent out double payments, it is likely he can't code correctly to see who owes what.  Unless his database is still intact.  Since no one but him will verify the database it is impossible to say.

You're revenged. You're tough with him.  you're not the only one get revenged. That is my explanation.

I guess according to Nefario's moral standard,  it is absolutely right to keep your coins.

I do not approve. There has to be another way.

When it's all said and done, all your money will disappears and Nefario will be in jail.

Nefario can take away my 25+ bitcoins, but I still claim that he should give it back to me. He needs that for hiring a lawyer working several hours. Of course, if he refuse to give, I will use that as one of the evidences to send him to jail. I will appreciate his jail time.

You should know that Nefario has already taken revenge to some users who playing tough on this forum after the GLBSE shutting down. That user heavily invested in GIGAMING and no double payments dispute, but he is not included in the shareholder list.

If you are actually feared that, please send me any useful evidence and information to zsdmgcy at gmail dot com. I will use your material against him, and you can still try to be friend with Nefario, if you like.
