Seems to me like it is flooded with loads of people! Although I am relatively new to this forum, so I'm not sure what the 'normal' number of people is. Besides, there are a LOT of lurkers on this forum who only made accounts to reserve a stake.

I feel we really need to pick a logo and slogan/motto soon, it's really going to hinder NEM's development otherwise. To gain real advertising momentum there must be a strong, well defined brand behind NEM. I think it would be best if we have this sorted in time for the advertisement on the Bitcoin subreddit.

To be honest I have seen quite a lot of good ideas already, but they often get buried in the forum pages. I made a recommendation for some "advertising" using a slow reveal over weeks or months leading up to the release date. Unfortunately I have no artistic skills so can't make do the work myself. The means of advertising could be Google and Facebook, I don't know how much this costs in practice but maybe the stakeholders would be willing to pay into a marketing fund?

However, before marketing starts I think  a few things need to happen:

• What is the official logo going to look like?
• What colours will NEM branding use (pantone reference)?
• What is our motto, mission staement and belief?
• Do we stand for anything specific or stand against certain things?

I'm not suggesting we spend days debating the above, but feel we need a consensus for a framework so our message is consistent rather than confusing

Hopefully it will one day be something You could use at a store through your phone to buy anything like food or clothes. The price must become more stable first, or merchants would be taken advantage of during price dips. 
I think the first stage is to make it feasible, for people to trade for other currencies, or give in exchange for work.  The other big potential arena is online entertainment.  If there were a network of nem enabled games, software, and entertainment, a tip system could be a mode of income, rather than traditional ad based freeware.  Sort of like a mining pool for donation based projects.

I wonder how possible it would be to have a feature like that built into nem itself?  So instead of needing someone to run the pool (who could mess it ups somehow), there was a type of account that would aggregate its funds to a selected number of accounts automatically?

I was thinking about use of NEM. Basically when money is medium of Exchange, it is necessary that it can be used that way.
 So if the prime example is bitcoin, which have now many b2c services etc. Were it will be good to focus in some different direction as well like B2B segment. I mean that many of these upcoming ventures in bitcoin platform focus only in such customer driven things. Would it be great to make NEM diffef from that ?

I do not know how cryptocurrencies could do a favor in B2B business, but i would suggest also think opportunies in that perspective. Many small and medium companies struggle with high fees and currency problems in global markets.

I'm very excited (and am a stakeholder), but I rarely post in here because there honestly just isn't much to talk about right now. Everything is still under heavy development so there is not much we can do as stakeholders other than speculate and I'm not really interested in speculation. Once we get some more details about how the coin will work and things get closer to launch I'm sure a lot more people will be posting.
