Was there ever thunder? I can't remember. It's always been downhill, and I will put my money it will get worse with time, months and years, not better.

Yeah, time will tell, but common sense should be enough. The current market cap is completely fake. (socks puppets, unreleased coins, 50 stakes per developers, development funds, etc all waiting for future dump). There are no buyers for anyone to even dump anything right now.
Lets wait and see how long these core developers even remain motivated to stay with the project. This shit gets boring, especially as months and years pass but there is no interest.
