Hi. I can not start local harvesting getting :ERROR 401
This operation cannot be completed because it might leak a private key by sending it to a remote NIS.

And I can not delegated harvesting getting: ERROR 306
An error occurred that the development team did not have foreseen. Apologies for this, maybe a retry might help. Otherwise, please open up an issue within the NEM NIS/NCC community.

any ideas please?

Tried about anything but to no success. need help.

First one sounds like you're trying to harvest locally on a remote node which is a bad idea for the reason stated in the message.

Second one is hard to tell. Could you upload logs ?

In setting I have remote server with host 43.224.35.140 default port 7890. auto-boot with node name **** and primary account, same result.

one wallet with two accounts, one is delegated harvesting is active. both not working with above results.

In system tray: NIS is running (local node not booted), NCC is running. (2 green and one grey part in shield)

Edit: all problems solved with a clean installation with backup files. No idea what went wrong first time.

We bow in its aura
NEM is doing very good and NEM dev team too.

I would call current price just healthy, people who thought it will hit 100 million should not be disapointed by NEM, but by their naivity.
NEM is as close to crypto idealism as it gets. This is the only project where I dont fear that there is something shady going on behind the scenes...
We already know these people, we were carefully watching every step they took, every decision they made and now after 14 months we know they are not some greedy bunch trying to make fast bucks.

If you want NEM to be more succesful then you need to do something for it. These people already did a lot for you (they actually gave me 2000 dollars few months ago for free!!!) and someone has guts to complain?!

Crypto currency need only one thing - people using it, now its up to us, not up to devs.

Thank you NEM team, you guys are doing great.

I propose the OP to delete all NXT posts from NEM thread...?
my eyes hurt reading this sunken ship's name all over, what the dickens... it's a good-as-dead project as CFB kinda said himself! Jinn in the Jinn thread, NXT in the NXT thread and NEM in the NEM thread. How about that y'all?

You'll find the Ignore button to be very usefull Smiley

igniorance may be expensive;) I found NXT people very open to new concepts and other project, maybe thats why NXT is so vital. You may do as You wish - just close your eyes

I'm not saying ignore people when they talk about NXT.

dont be too harsh,
totally cleaned thread would contain no comparisons to other coins, and that is too dull or unilateral.

Is it possible to get source code related to PoI?

No.

Any estimate when the code and white paper is published?

How many months/weeks was between the NXT launch and the publish of NXT code ?

"to endure to achieve"
BTW - regarding exchanges - I agree with others that if people really wish to trade NEMs - they will find eg. Poloniex OK.
I have used Poloniex for more than a year and never had a problem - it runs very well!

could it be that you need to increase this:
nis.unlockedLimit = 1
to more than 1?
Just a guess - I'm new to NEM.

Guys, two important things, 1) as we've said several times NEM is a different kind of project, we have just launched and are focusing our attention on making sure everything works on the technical side(which is critical) at the same time we have some great things prepared on the marketing side and are also working on more stuff - please have some patience and you find out it was worth it, 2) as we've said we are already working to get NEM on more exchanges and as soon as we'll have news about integration being ready, we'll let you know.

Good things lay ahead of us, just have a little patience. Wink

This is true.  I saw bittrex-richie hashing out tech stuff in #ournem on freenode IRC last night.  Bittrex is coming people, don't fret  Cool

The real question is who will be the first NEM merchant?  Grin
Well said. Profiteers/dumpers wanting price to shoot up are whinging about exchanges. real Nemsters want to use it.

You want different places to ensure nems value first.

From first hand experience with node, exchange listing should be priority ATM.

I disagree.
IMHO NODE has other problems and that's why it's value went to shiz. I mean why was such a big chunk of NODE on Bter when it got hacked ? Because everyone wanted to be ready do dump - at least that's my theory.

Wrong, nobody else wanted to list node. The Dev kept blaming us but a lot of us tried for months.

We were ready to see node grow, unfortunately bter bull*** affected us by not having other exchanges listing node.

A monopoly is not good for decentralized currencies, just look at how central banks can manipulate fiat easily.

I'm not saying we NEM should try to get listed on other exchanges. I'm saying it's not as important as some people make it out to be at least not imho.
Also we are 2 days past launch and have Poloniex and Coingateway (which means you can pay with XEM wherever you can pay with BTC). That's not bad imho. Give it time people.

Hi guys i just saw this post and i downloaded wallet bought 200k NEM's at poloniex and transffered part of it to wallet. Now im gonna activate that harvesting thingy...can someone tell me how much can i expect and how doest it all work.
Also i run a small but growing online shop at www.cryptowarehouse.org....can i accept this coin..i love the concept devs look legit and cool and i believe in bright future of this coin..

thanks all

Hi,

If you bought your XEMs just now then you will have to wait until enough of them are vested before you can start to harvest.
10% of your XEM are vested each day so you should only have to wait 1 day.
You can expect to harvest blocks regularly but noone can tell you how much XEM that'll give you since not every block has tx-fees. You see when someone makes a tx the fee is rewarded to the person harvesting that block. If no tx are in a block there are no XEM to reward the harvester.

Sure you can accept XEM at your shop. If you have any trouble setting it up come over to forum.nemcoin.com or #ournem on freenode and ask away.
