I told many friends to join NEM in the beginning.

They were never active in Bitcointalk forum afterwards. I hope they won't be kicked out, because NEM could bring them to the cryptocurrency world and bring new businesses and people.
But you guys are killing new blood into it. Well done. This way the cryptocurrency world never grow.

They will probably blaim me now for not being active here. Losing faith in NEM.
Same here, got 3 of my colleagues at my company into NEM and also 5 or 6 from our association for complimentary WiFi in my hometown. Idk if they are now also on "the list" i'll check that later sure. I remember it was also ok when somebody registered a stake for a family memeber, friend, ...what ever... What about them? Are those people "blacklisted" too now...?

You make it worse with this kind of methods. Do you need accusations like "NEM elite removed accounts that would dilute their share of coins"? Do a cryptographically provable sockpuppet nuking. There are not so many promising coins around, I can't just watch how one of these coins fails from the very beginning. I hope you will follow the advice...

For a better assessment you should do Resource Testing trick which would show how many computers are owned by the remaining accounts. If you get that only 30% accounts own a computer then you could reliably assume that 70% are sockpuppets.

Oh that would be interesting indeed.
It can open a whole new can of worms and keep us occupied for the betterpart of 2015, but i would vote for that action.

Here are some interesting stats about the accounts in NEMESIS:

avg post count: 211
avg registered days after NEM start: -64 (meaning registered 64 days before NEM start on avg)
avg number of days since last active (from 3/8): 65

For comparison, here are the same stats for sock accounts:

avg sock post count: 5
avg sock registered days after NEM start: 11
avg number of days since socks were last active: 203

You can't rely on this because Ripple Giveaway led to a lot of sockpuppet accounts created in advance (because of expectations that another coin will use the same approach). For a better assessment you should do Resource Testing trick which would show how many computers are owned by the remaining accounts. Thanks for the numbers Smiley It's true many people left, will be interesting to see how many people will ultimately remember their NEM

I think we can assume that all people who went through all phases of redemption will remember their NEM. I'm more worried about how many people might have lost their priv-key or somehow messed up redemption.

A quick update:

We have been working on preparing the addresses for the NEMESIS block. It seems that a lot of people couldn't figure out how to copy and paste NEM addresses correctly, so invalid addresses will have to redeem post launch.

The days since active for the non socks are kinda worrying still imo. Did you also correlate the days since active to post count?

Pearson r for number of posts and days since last active is -0.26, which is significant (p < 0.001).
For socks, the correlation is -0.29, which is also significant.

The negative correlations show that the more posts you have, the more likely it is that you were recently active.

A lot of people just left crypto when BTC was down for so many months. BTT is a ghost town compared to what it used to be.

Nultidah, all your jumping up and down and screaming and stomping your feet will not get you your NEM candy any faster.

The devs are 100 times more concerned with a clean code than your temper tantrum.

estimate march.. of which i am still confident in.. but regardless of my opinion, it was still an estimate, not a promise. and if bitcoin is about to start a bull run, mid to late march could be the best time we could ever possibly launch.. Smiley

So why not just come out and say the truth: you're _never_ planning on launching NEM. Using the recent BTC bull run" (its still in a full-swing downtrend term) to FURTHER DELAY the launch of NEM after MONTHS of promises is just the nail in the coffin for your credibility.

Remember when Utopian Future purposefully delayed the launch of the NEMstake so he could profit off the rise of NXT, due to people lining up to buy NEMstake? What you are doing is absolutely no different and you really should consider stepping aside as a spokesperson for this project if you find your suggested behavior to be morally acceptable.

KOD, you're not qualified to decide when bull runs begin and end. Just concentrate on releasing your coin. Please.

i made no such decision, and even if i did, how do you know what i am, and am not qualified to do? do you know my educational back ground? do you know what my close relatives do?(whether i have inside info or not) or do you know what my trading returns have been over the past year?

please do not make judgements on what i am and what i am not qualified to do as you know nothing about me.

also please do not accuse me of trying to hold up the launch to profit from a rise in bitcoin.. i dont know if my trying to do that, or you suggesting i am doing that sounds more ridiculous..

I'm guessing 1 week until the birth of Nem.  Wink

I guess it better be or the devs haven't even begun to see the barrage of criminal accusations that are about to start flying their way. Everything we've said before was just fun and games compared to the onslaught of fury and hatred that is about to descend on their heads.

There's not place here for threats. If this thread was moderated by someone who paid attention, this post should have been deleted.

Sure there is. If you don't like them, put your hands over your eyes and turn around.
