estimate march.. of which i am still confident in.. but regardless of my opinion, it was still an estimate, not a promise. and if bitcoin is about to start a bull run, mid to late march could be the best time we could ever possibly launch.. Smiley

So why not just come out and say the truth: you're _never_ planning on launching NEM. Using the recent BTC bull run" (its still in a full-swing downtrend term) to FURTHER DELAY the launch of NEM after MONTHS of promises is just the nail in the coffin for your credibility.

Remember when Utopian Future purposefully delayed the launch of the NEMstake so he could profit off the rise of NXT, due to people lining up to buy NEMstake? What you are doing is absolutely no different and you really should consider stepping aside as a spokesperson for this project if you find your suggested behavior to be morally acceptable.

KOD, you're not qualified to decide when bull runs begin and end. Just concentrate on releasing your coin. Please.

On the landing page it shows me two accounts: beton and NEM. Maybe I created the beton account as a testaccount 2 months ago,
can't remember. I can only login into the account called NEM for which my password fits.
go to c:/user//Nem < and delete the nem folder..

old folder isnt compatible with the new version of beta.. there was a change made with in about a month or so ago that meant old wallet file/address book file is not compatible as far as i remember, so its most likely the old folder that hasnt been deleted that causing you issues.. on live net, if you ever get issues and need to reinstall the client, make sure to save both the wallet file and address book file.. (im thinking/hoping that wallet file and address book file will be merged by launch) i suspect it will as its caused many issues for people...
Yes, it was repeatedly explained that you have to create a new wallet with 0.5.x (i don't remember). Next time you have a problem, just look for information or ask somebody if you are too lazy to find it by yourself (that is fine and not meant as an offence, not everbody has the time). We could have helped you within seconds and you wouldn't have to reinstall it several times.

Btw: The deletion of your wallet has nothing to do with your real account (NEM stake account). Just to make sure you don't get this wrong...
thanks, I'll check it out and will findwhere it was explained. for now I've to work my night shift...:-)

Just deinstalled 0.5-16, restarted and deleted the nem folder in program files (x86) and reinstalled. but couldn't login.
then I deinstalled 0.5-16 and deleted the folder and installed 0.5-13 and could login into the wallet but
with a different warning: Oops!, ERROR 602, Cannot perform any operations until db is fully loaded.
So I've to wait until the blockchain db is fully loaded? it shows me block 43084 on testnet and est. 5 days behind
but then "NIS info is not available" and it stucks (NIS and NCC are working).

Reminder to Everyone

As we (hopefully) approach the launch of NEM sometime in the near-ish future, I think it is important to clarify a few things for everyone now and also encourage everyone who is a stakeholder to check that they have everything ready and prepared for launch to reduce the number of potential disasters and complaints when launch does finally happen.

As patmast3r has said a few posts back, the first thing everyone who is a stakeholder needs to do is to make sure that you still have the private key you received when you redeemed your stake. Without this private key, you will not be able to access the XEM that you are entitled to, so if you have lost it or something then you need to act on this immediately before the NEMesis block is generated at launch.

Secondly, please remember that the testnet we are all using now to beta test is not in any way related to the real NEM network at launch. This means that your wallets, accounts, or whatever else you have created for the testnet will not work on the actual NEM network after launch. So, remember, anything you do on the testnet is just for testing and getting to know how NEM works.

When launch eventually happens, you will be creating a new wallet from scratch just like the first time you ever used NEM and then loading the private key you received when you redeemed your stake to gain access to the XEM you are entitled to based on how many stakes you redeemed. But again, remember that without your private key, you will not be able to access your XEM so you need to make sure you have that stored safely and ready to load into the client after launch.

So I checked my account data and did first update to 0.5.16 and installed java 8 64bit.
Then I couldn't login to my account. The client told me that there is no address book and didn't let me login.
Then I deinstalled NEM wallet, reinstalled it, deinstalled it, reinstalled it several times with several restarts.
While installing there was a warning: "Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete
correctly. Problem creating launcher in C.\Program Files (x86)\nem-0.5.13" same with nem-0.5.16
The address book warning was: Sadly Oops!, Error 121, The address book file does not exist.
After fiddling back and forth an hour I could finally login into my wallet with my password and could verify public and
private key together with my real NEM N-account. The Address book warning was still there but the wallet had let me login...
Hope this was only on my PC (there is also a Nxt, NODE, Crypti and NFD wallet working the same time)......
btw. I'm on win 8.1 64 bit

Even bitcoin still has bugs. Yet it is what EVERY SINGLE OTHER FRICKEN crypto is currently trying to be. Any crypto that has come close to being successful still has massive bug & even philosophical problems to grapple with.

The difference is, THEY EXIST!

NEM DOES _NOT_!!!!!

have you taken the time to download NCC and try it for yourself?

Oh, you mean the one where you use fun money that is literally worthless?

Yes, I have. It was buggy and far too confusing to be considered for any sort of mass adoption, even among the cryptonerds. You guys have totally shot yourselves in the foot. But not before you took our money.

Calm your tits. Criminal accusations? For what, taking longer than expected?

For never delivering a product. 689 pages of talk = 689 pages of NOTHING.
