No wonder people are confused, there are three different links posted for information about redemption and not one of them link to each other:

The original link (which is on a different site from btt):
https://medium.com/@xtester/nem-redemption-process-f90db6b10eef

On Oct 21:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9282227

On Oct 25 (which is on a different site from btt):
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9282227

Not everyone has time to spend keeping track of every single post, the information should be kept in one place and updated as needed.

Reading  comments from some NEM main members questioning people's reading skills/intelligence because they don't know what to do is rather insulting. What if english is not someone's first language? How are they able to follow this maze of information?

Stop the pampering, those who don't keep up with the thread/project need A PENALTY, just cut 25% off from them to start with, less dilution.

Phase 2 Redemption Guide

NEMStake(Nxt AE) redemption starts as of RIGHT NOW, and here's how you can do it:

...

Is this instruction only for those, who have the NEMstakes in NXT AE ?

Looking at the accepted stake list all I can see is loads of NXT AE stakes.

I thought this was fair distribution?

Ironically the guys who made money from NXT are now the guys with tons of stakes and the majority of NEM.

This took a year?

Maybe in the instructions should be written: "Stay tuned. Search from the forums words "thanks, it work" and locate in that way the updated guides!"
 Sad

In the time you spent nagin around here you could have made yourself usefull and put together an easier to understand guide.

Its all bullshit from these guys.....if you want to find the info its there.....they only have to go back a few pages....a couple of minutes at most....!!!!

Maybe you do not know, but that is not the way to present guides for big systems, which kind of NEM is - at least I have thought so.
This kind of big announcements and movements require the clarity. Otherwise this will be a hobby of nerds.
Is that the wanted future?

I have assumed that NEM development and launching is made with style and clarity. That's why I have believed that the 1st guide https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9082423
is valid also later, and therefore looked for that or some other guide with the similar outlook. Not assumed to collect some lines from page X and other lines from page Y. That is for nerds and gurus. NEM movement will not survive, if there is only those. The common people must be got along. I suspect that with those instructions so will not happen.

Phase 2 Btt Stakeholders Redemption Guide

End of Phase 1 on October 31, 2014 (yeah, Halloween)

Phase 1 will end on October 31, 2014. Anyone who is a stakeholder on btt (not on the NXT AE) and hasn't registered his token until this date, will have the opportunity to redeem his stake during the extended period after launch under the already announced limitations outline here https://medium.com/@xtester/extended-redemption-period-d6e7ceaf3a53.

This will also mark the beginning of phase 2. As soon as phase 1 is over the portal will be adapted for phase 2 and we'll let you know once it's ready. When it is ready, btt stakeholders will need to register their real NEM-addresses (starting with 'N'). You'll need to enter your token and an address that you have generated according to Phase 2 Redemption Guide.

We'd like to remind you to read and follow these instructions very carefully and to keep your private key safe and secret.

Once phase 2 has begun we'll also reset the https://chain.nem.ninja/stakes/registered page to display only people who have registered their NEM-address in combination to their token. It will also show the NXT-Addresseses that have already sent back their NEMStake and the NEM-address that has been registered with that transaction. We urge everyone to check this list to make sure everything is in order! It is your responsibility to make sure everything is alright.

Hello, I have register my token on phase 1 and saw my name on the list. But for phase 2, where do I register my newly register NEM-address? Those instructions are very complicated, sincerely.

You register it on the same site as in phase 1: https://chain.nem.ninja/stakes
After you've done that you can check https://chain.nem.ninja/stakes/registered to see if everything went alright.

Thanks it work.  Grin

Maybe in the instructions should be written: "Stay tuned. Search from the forums words "thanks, it work" and locate in that way the updated guides!"

How? ... I do not know all the details... I have just asked them.
Also after r's one answer, it is unclear if it is too late to proceed with Phase1:Step3: ?
If it is then I have nothing to do than nag.

As asked earlier: to where is entered the token, which is mentioned in Phase1:Step3:2 ?

I really suggest that you (active NEM team)  make an updated, clear, 1 page guide.
With the info of dates; when some phase or step will be closed. And that one guide is updated, whether a date is changed or a procedure is changed. And the NXT AE things should be clearly separated.
The terminology must be consistent ... that has been discussed since June, since "4 billion".

yea ...
it is not a question about intelligence... I know people (engineers) who cannot proceed with all the requirements. At least in some phase the java was a problem.
And now also this whole issue with unclear instructions has become quite personal...

exactly, 1 place for important instructions.
Especially if the case is such that if someone missed some guide, he will lose his NEMcoins, after 10 months "personal project". Is that unfair or fair?
