Phase 2 Redemption Guide

............

And when we can expect to receive real NEM. Is there some period of waiting them? In other words, if I sent my nemstake and NEm account# now, when real NEM will be transferred to my real NEM account?

Phase 2 Redemption Guide

NEMStake(Nxt AE) redemption starts as of RIGHT NOW, and here's how you can do it:

Please install and run the NEM BETA client from bob.nem.ninja/webstart (or bob.nem.ninja for the standalone version). In the client you'll find the option to create your real address for the live-net. Please follow the steps below in order to do this:

Step one:

Step two:

Step three:

Note: Please be sure to back up your private key, otherwise you will not get any NEM. Please put it in a place where it won't get stolen or hacked.

THIS IS IMPORTANT PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW VERY CAREFULLY:

Now that you've created a real NEM address, you will have to send your NEMStake to a Nxt address in order to redeem it. The address is NOT the issuing account. Please include the NEM address (NOT your private key!) you have created via the BETA Client as *unencrypted* message in the transaction and send it to NXT-97MX-EWKV-CGKX-DA5WH. IMPORTANT: UNENCRYPTED.

To sum up:

1) Create a real NEM address in the beta, as shown above (The field is to small for the complete address. Make sure you copy the whole thing!!!)
2) Send your NEMStake to NXT-97MX-EWKV-CGKX-DA5WH including an unencrypted message consisting of your real NEM address created with the BETA client, according to the screenshots above. Don't send your private key!

Clarification: With regards to the problem that the popup in the gui which displays the real account data cannot be selected for copy & paste (which some users reported): This is only an issue when using Firefox. We are aware of it and will fix it in the next release. You can use Chrome to have the ability to copy & paste the data.

500 k sent.

And now please remove the Wallet Adress from your Post. It´s against Forum Rules to post Wallet Adresses.

Anyone to Post a wallet Adress please go to https://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2547.75 or put it in your Signature.

Please also remove it from the quotation and refrain from quoting addresses again.

when i go "settings" > "remote server",  do i just enter the IP of the computer that i have a remote instance of NIS running on, into the box called "host"?

has anyone got remote harvesting working? i cant for the life of me figure out how to do it... Sad

Once it says activating your good. It takes about 24h to actually start harvesting (wild guess: it's somehow connected to vesting but don't ask me the exact reason)

hang on.. do i not need to leave my computer running 24/7 if i want to harvest as much as possible..? i dont get how its remote if im not linking to any other nis or ncc??

Well you have to have a remote NIS to harvest remotely.
That's kinda the point of the excercise Smiley (Besides the security aspect which is why it's also called secure harvesting)

If you have no remote NIS then you must harvest localy which would mean having NIS running as much as possible.
If you do have a remote NIS you merely have to activate remote harvesting and you don't need to have anything on localy.

aahhh ok i get it.. so i would set up a vpn, install the nem monitor and get NIS running on the vpn.. then on my own laptop set my NCC to connect to the NIS on the vpn, then hit "start remote harvesting" and then im free to shut everything on my laptop down and it will continue to harvest?

would i need to leave it connected to the remote nis from that point on so that the remote harvesting continues to work or could i just connect to a local NIS from then on with out interrupting the harvesting, once remote harvesting is set up?

Getting the message "The time stamp of the transaction is too far in the future." When trying to send transaction. my system time is correct and I have tried changing the due time to 1 hour. Anyone else get this?

I will look into this issue. How much did your system time differ from real time? more than 20 seconds?

It seems to be on time to me. I am on pacific time. I went to date and time > 'internet time' tab > re- syncronized with time server and same issue. Also tried time.nist.gov time server. However, I am receiving Nem just fine.

Restart NCC while leaving NIS running. I already found the reason for the behavior you reported.
