Can anyone weigh in for me on the NEM analogy to bitcoin world on unique address to sender practices? In NXT land it seems quite easy to look at an address (say asset exchange), and see all their holdings and transactions.

https://bitcoin.org/en/protect-your-privacy
Use new addresses to receive payments

To protect your privacy, you should use a new Bitcoin address each time you receive a new payment. Additionally, you can use multiple wallets for different purposes. Doing so allows you to isolate each of your transactions in such a way that it is not possible to associate them all together. People who send you money cannot see what other Bitcoin addresses you own and what you do with them. This is probably the most important advice you should keep in mind.

Forgive me if this is a fundamental 101 question, but I'm just curious.

There's always a tradeoff between privacy and ease-of-use. The bitcoin model will work with NEM (one address per payment) because NEM supports wallets that hold accounts. If you want a single account that you use for everything, that will also be supported.

0.10 USD after 6 months would be quite nice Wink

I agree or even more, people who said is less do not care about the future of this coin

Buy 6 silver coins, get 1 free when we ship to you
Buy 12 silver coins, get 3 free when we ship to you

I assume this doesn't need to be at once right? That is, if we accumulate a few on the AE over time it is the sum total at time of redemption correct?

Edit: Oh wait, you guys can't ship to North Korea, scratch that.

Current price of NEMsilver on the NXT AE is 3700. This is about $111 USD and includes international shipping, packaging, and insurance, as well as a cold wallet with 100 NEM.

NEMgold is 75000 NXT, which is about $2250 USD, again including shipping and insurance, though this time with 1000 NEM in a cold wallet.

Help us make crypto history by "forging" NXT into NEM + precious metals!

$2250 USD/1000 NEM = $2,25 per NEM

I love my math  Grin

so GOLD is free ?  Grin

I'm just trying to put a psychological price target here  Grin

Out of curiosity, is there any way to turn a portion of one's NEMstake into these coins?

I should clarify, I don't have my NEMstake on the asset exchange but I think some of us who don't may be interested in just requesting a portion of our stake be given to us as these physical coins if that were possible.

It is always possible. The challenge is logistical issues. Patmaster won't like it. He has enough problems on his side. He would be the best to answer, but I doubt so this can happen.

I'm afraid rocket is right. Looking at the redemption process this is not going to be possible.
However nothing stops you from requesting your entire stake on the AE and then redeeming what's left after you buy NEMSilver or NEMGold at launch for NEM anyway. It's the same as if you only were to receive 0.5 Stake on the AE only that the logistics are much much easier.

If the sale goes well, we might order extra from the mint and sale after NEM is officially launched. Not sure yet if that will happen or not.

If you or anyone wants to buy with BTC or another currency (JPY is fine too Wink), please PM me with an offer or ask how much we would charge for a given currency.

Also, bulk orders (>50) can be heavily discounted, so please PM me if you want to buy a lot.

FINALLY, we would like to offer all NEM original stakeholders a free silver coin if they buy a gold coin. Please PM me if you want to do that.

I may be interested in buying some silver coins in JPY if that is possible! Do you have a bank account in Japan I could wire money to?

Plz pm makoto1337 about that. He said he would accept JPY.
