what worries me about NEM is the constant really low daily volume. Seems to be from 2kk to 3kk most of the time.
Very low compared to the other "top" coins.
This can be considered as the bottom price for NEM.
Nobody is willing to sell at prices lower than this and it hits this point.

Agreed, low volume indicates that the price is not correct.
Only traders, robots and new XEM-buyers ... and cashier-whales are active with these prices in this course stability.

You have to keep in Mind that there are no Miners who have to pay Bills like in BTC and ETH and that there is no Margin Trading with NEM.

If the remote node restarts or simply shuts down NIS, you are not harvesting any more. That is the disadvantage of letting a service do the harvesting, you always depend on the service being up and not getting restarted.
yes it is very bad Sad

Well you can always ask an owner of a supernode to add your private delegated key to the supernode config. Then it will always harvest when the NIS on the supernode is restarted.

If you can't contact an owner, then just monitor your harvesting status around the time of an update (these are usually notified on the nem.io forums and on bitcointalk).  This is the time usually when nodes restart after a version update is applied. You can check the nodes version number from searching supernodes.nem.io.  Current latest version is 0.6.91.

Only time will seem like a coin on the crypto currency will behave. But in any case, the prospects are good.
----
I've actually gained some free Bircoin recently & converted all earning to NEM. I believe NEM & ripple will have a mass surge from now to 2019. Speculation is a fantastic thing. It's also got a mass following & Nem's market capital will only rise alongside bitcoins.

I've made a nice amount of Bitcoin from this site of you want to get some before they start rising!

It's a faucet which gives you coins every five minutes, not sure how they profit from it, but I love a freebie!

About Nanowallet: Delegated harvesting.

Example :
- activation transaction (6 XEM) is sent and some "veryfaraway" node is selected from the list
- after 6 hours the harvesting is possible and it has been started
- some blocks were harvested and everything seems to be ok Smiley

Will the 'Harvesting status' change from 'Active' to inactive, if the remote node stops harvesting ?

From these tutorials did not find the answer ... is it there ?

"The worst thing a remote NIS can do is to pretend to harvest for you, but in reality it is not. If you want to know how that is possible, please read on."
... read on but no, did not find ... and also the video link was broken.

Does my Nanowallet get any notification from the service or does it check the connection/harvesting?
Or is Nanowallet still thinking that remote service status and harvesting status are ACTIVE ?
(Now when moving from the Dashboard to the Harvesting view, there are the red INACTIVE texts for 0.1 seconds until they change to green ACTIVE texts)

I am not so familiar with Nano Wallet. I don't think you get a notification but if you switch from tab to tab it probably gets initialized with the correct value, i.e. ACTIVE or INACTIVE.

Last NEM block is 1204001. My last harvested block is 1155567.  Is this too much time to wait?
Before:
1155567
1134538
1133377
1130115
1127167

Check if your harvesting is active. If so, then it just "bad luck" atm. In the long run you will get the probabilistic amount of harvested block according to your POI.
Finally! Block 1205550  Wink 34 XEM earned  Grin

Welt Am Draht
I remember back in the day there were many and some hardcore trolls in the NEM thread. Nowadays it's all smooth and quite, I've been observing it for a couple weeks. Smiley

By the way is there a statistic on how many original genesis holders still hold their nemstake today? I would be interested in this.

One of them reporting in.

There's still a lot of dormant stakes on the rich list. As ever it's impossible to know who can still access them or not.
