Until now potential NEO coin is very good in the crypto market, but to compete with ETH seems to still take a long time because Guys investors prefer to invest into ETH rather than NEO.
I think Ethereum has become so popular that neo can no longer catch up with it in life. Just compare them by popularity and everything will be immediately clear.
I think ! NEO will never do that. Because Neo is not standard ERC20 or ERC223.

I think that you need to choose ETH because it is considered more profitable than NEO being number 2 in the rating in most articles and ratings that are made by most famous traders and analysts
I'm not sure that this will happen because perhaps this coin does not have enough opportunities to achieve this goal. 
The advantages of NEO is its freshness, but the advantages of the Ether are its reliability. Although, as the professionals say, both Ether and NEO are very crooked in terms of code.
Presently, it seems it will not work that way because there is decline is decline on the part of NEO. Although it will rise again, but there are still louts of coins that are performing well in the crypto space.
Of course I choose ethereum.It is unreasonable to compare neo with ethereum.Someone has proven himself and the other is still crawling.
Etherium with Neo is certainly a lot to choose Etherium because we know how Etherium capacity, how Etherium develops, and then the Etherium market is also very large so everything is still dominated by Etherium rather than Neo

In my opinion Neo has really good perspectives and in future it can easily be in top-5 of Coinmarketcap. So i prefer to keep it in my portfolio.

In my own opinion, ethereum has more potential because of its popularity and it is one of the biggest reason why the price will increase faster since it has more demand.
I think both are worth buying but if you have to choose then Etherium is still the best.

I see both of them a a rivals, for they offer similar services for markets with their smart-contracts and protocols.
But ETH is more popular, and technically is believed to be more powerful that NEM.
NEO and Ethereum work in different kind of algorithm but essentially both are infrastructure blockchain platform. NEO have good developers community where as Ethereum already boasts large number of developers. Right now I would favor Ethereum to NEO, however, the future prospect of NEO is also very good.
