The timestamp of the blocks are everywhere...lower blockheight have future time than higher block height, and the blocks 2042605,2042606 as well as 2042607~2042609 all have 1s difference...sure it's fixed?

Dev said on vergecurrency reddit that "drifts are allowed. blocks are moving on time, and all different algos. the attack was only scrypt blocks, with a difficulty of 0.001"

9 blocks in around 2 minutes. Is that okay...? And lots of blocks 1 second away from each other.

Looking at the blockexplorer still no fix. 5 days of instamining and counting. gg wp

can u justify what u say ?
The blockexplorer still shows large amounts of blocks being added every minute: https://verge-blockchain.info/

fork went smooth guys!
average block time is ~37 seconds again.. no large amounts of scrypt blocks being inserted with 0 difficulty.
.......

Now English is not my native language so i wonder what the "no large amounts" means exactly? As i understand it,
it means the 1 second injection hack still continues but its much less now. Or how to read this "no large amounts"??
"large amounts" means 37 blocks in 37 seconds compared to "normal amounts" which is 1 block in 37 seconds.
36 blocks would be the "inserted" amount.
They were drilling a block a second because the difficulty slammed into the ground and they beat it up with an ASIC farm.

ok, thx...just like to know since it's been a fair few days of mess for mining...those were also across different algos so just a coincidence ;p

Lol apparently it was fixed. Yet I found some pretty weirdly mistimed blocks recently. Posting proof of admin saying it's fixed and the blocks. https://ibb.co/ipO5zx
https://ibb.co/fN0URc

it was not fixed yet. It will be fixed with fork at block 2042000

So we are now at block 2042510 blocks as I write this.

Where is the fix?

Cause it sure seems like it ain't working.

Also why on earth would the dev not want to blacklist the addresses of the hacked coins?

That's yet another major red flag.

 Roll Eyes

Also what the fuck is that?

Can someone get millions of coins in 1 block?

It is normal. The reward per block is always + - 1560 XVG. Other are normal coin operations like sending, etc.

I noticed the mining profitability of X17 recently restored itself near the top in multiminers...

Suffering an attack is never good and leaves a cloud over a project. Let just hope that this unpleasant situation goes away quickly and gets resolved amicably so that verge can continue with its plans.

Dev's tried fixing it 4 times. Even forked twice. Afaik, it's still going on.

I wonder what the reason is behind not freezing / blacklisting the malicious wallets. Seems odd. Also, the Dev thinks this attack is costing the "hacker" a lot of money. I'm not convinced that mining low difficulty blocks is very hard, hence the low difficulty.

Quite interesting to think that dev not blacklisting the hacker that has about 20 million coins. Insider attack? We will never know.
