It is good advice for a newbie, but if you have good experience and free money - you can have good profit with ICO. Like with Quarkchain - tokens made XXX. So it depend on situation.

If there is any ICO that does not have a product and i succeeds, the success does not usually last. Most times, those projects do not last more than  a year and the maximum we can have is 2 years. I have also noticed that most of them only survive for that short period based on hype. So, investing in a project with good product is the best.

Of course, a project with a work product is a certain guarantee for your investments, but there are ICO projects in the market without a work product that can bring you profit, even in the short term. Everything depends on the specific project.

I think that not all ICOs are so bad and in some of them you can invest money, but you need to carefully select a project and everything to check out, his team and other aspects.

I also think so, because I will choose and trust an ICO project that already has a great and famous product before, because it will be more clear where the direction, the process, the real progress of what will be developed in the future.

I agree.  Investing in a company without a product is very risky.  And a very big chance to lose your money.

Never invest in ICO if dont have product. because ICO without any working product can easily be a scam. But not all ICO without product is scam, maybe initially they dont have it. that;s why the company using ICO ways to collect funds to make their product. Learn about their whitepaper and roadmap. in roadmap they will explain about when the product release, when ready to use and etc.
But better if they already have working product first
An ico with a working product is a safer choice but at the same time it is an ico which is not going to give as many profits and since many people here want to obtain the most profits then it is natural that they take greater risks and put their money in icos without a product yet.

Most crypto projects in which I invest do not have a finished product, if the product of the investment price will increase significantly. In this and the sense that the money received by the development team will realize their ideas in the finished product, which then will be released to the market.

Correct me if I'm wrong but under the concept of any ICO it is understanded that there is something that is not developed yet. Even if the company have a product they still gona need money to either develop it or add any new features (otherwise why do they need money?). In both cases you don't know what will happen with the final version of the product. Even the team is not always guaranteeing a quality of the company. For example I've been looking thru 2 ICOs trying to chose one to invest. The first one had a smaller (but still solid) team and communicated well via telegram while the 2nd ICO had a huge team with multiple levels of support that has been dodging me all the time.
It is important to understand that ICO should me analyzed in many different ways because even the ICOs with a product can still have some unclear things.

I agree with you sir, one has to analyse it in various ways before investing. The ICOs with products might still issues they are not bringing to the public

However, note that there are many credible and reliable projects which lack products, which might be a missed opportunity. You just need to know that you have more risk when you invest without a product to show.

Yeah that is true, but nowadays ICO products are rarely exist, they just pronote their ICO and we won't believe easily with that condition. Because the ICO with the product are looking good to be trust. But now most of ICOs are potentially to be scam.

People are more likely to trust projects that have a product.  Therefore, such companies have a great chance of success.

Your advice is very good. I have mentioned these with my friends and I will never invest in any ICO products. ICO in the market now has no credibility!

True. I guess as with any speculative investment you have to weigh up these risks....feasibility, adherence to timeline, etc. A specced out project which is on target isn't really just promises and hype.

Most of the ico projects started to be advertised and promoted when there were no products. Until they started ico, the products did not come out. At most, there was a demo. But it's hard to ask them to start ico after they've made a product. That's unrealistic. Without funds, how come out of the product?
