this can be a place of business for ICO ranking site owners, because the more costs that are given the higher the ICO rating, so it makes some investors tempted to invest in projects, hopefully investors are more observant in choosing projects before investing in them.

I don't believe in ICO ranking sites. Most of them are paid and not real.
The more they get from the team (payment) the better the rank they will give!

What I am looking for in ICO is looking at MVP, live and working products. Something that really can make a difference. Not just empty words with fancy pictures.
You right,ICO ranking is not real because it is a money matter, the bigger you pay ,the higher ranking you get. It's really disappointing to the investors because ranking is just a deception just to attract more people to invest on their project. That's why if we invest we should study the project very well and not rely on ICO ratings.

As you can see now in 2020 . Most of the ICO list sites are dead. Not always votes are involve in ranking but money too.
It is a marketing strat where newbie investors and some bounty hunter get easily fool with the ranks.

Indeed. The only reason why they make fake ICO list, so they could attract investors and bounty hunters, especially those newbies who really don't know about cryptocurrency and ICO projects. It is also the reason why there are no more existing ICO list in any websites today because most of them aren't true.

At this time nobody trusts the ICO website anymore, because the average ICO project no longer benefits anyone, including investors, so don't worry about the ICO website because now people are busy analyzing the IEO projects that are in the top exchanges.
Yes, and the IEO projects in the top exchanges have also begun to slow down now, the average seen by the IEO project in the medium and small exchanges, so for the ICO website it is very feasible to throw away, because we no longer need it.

That's 100% true, ranking site is just a money matter where as long as you have a lot of money, you can buy the good ratings for the
project you want to promote in cryptocurrency, so once the community will see at the no.1 ratings in ranking they will thought the project has a potential but the truth is not, so lets be wise and careful in choosing project campaign.

I looked for all ICO projects through such sites. At first there were a lot of good projects, but then they began to be replaced by paid scams. This was understandable by user ratings. Soon, by the way, all these sites were closed. It is better to look for an ICO yourself without using any tops.

isn't the ICO now no longer trusted by investors so why would I still trust the ICO website that gives unclear ratings! now it is a trend for IEO and ICO now to really not benefit investors

ICO/IEO are basically the same thing these days only one major difference is that now a days exchanges are in on a scam.

Please note I am not saying all IEOs are scam.

I observed most of these ICO ranking sites tend to rankup sponsored projects. Not really objective about their reviews. I see most of really good projects don't get high ratings. Anyway, these sites could be a way to know what ICOs are upcoming or currently in the market. Just reinforce those reviews with your own research.

ICO industry is like a heaven for all scammers, do you know from which source money comes? Mostly from people that are using ICO investments due to money laundering. So not only ICO creators are scammers but also some investors. What a crazy market.  Roll Eyes Cheesy
ICO rating sites usually shills project but of course with payment. I have noticed this on the past, even though your project is good they will still list it however if you dont pay them with some review expect that you will have a bad or low points on their platform. Example of this is ICObench which giving a high score to a shitcoin project and even the KYC of the team has marked checked even though the users or profiles are copied only. I dont want to be on their scheme method, nothing can beat money for creating a good ICO project.

Id rather use this forum for good references.

Today there are many websites evaluating ICOs, but most of them are not reputable and give false reviews. I will never completely trust the ICO review sites, I only rely on them to make my personal assessments.
In general, popular ICO review websites like IcoDrop are not worth trusting because they are paid to do this. During this time, you should limit your investment in ICO projects because the risk can occur at any time. However, if it's an IEO project listed at major exchanges, then you should consider investing because exchanges like Binance or Huobi are often home to lots of big investors.

the question here is - is there anyone here who really trust those ICO ranking sites? maybe they can be used as a guide but nothing more than that. we all know that they are putting a lot of info that are misleading to potential investors. of course, they always want to please their clients, so if their clients are paying -- are they going to give them bad reviews?

Well they have their own marketing strategy to attract investor on there project, It is really hard to know legit information and rely on any ranking site. It is better to investigate with your own and try to rely on other and ask with there opinions also.
yes i also agree with your opinion that to not fully trust the ico website. most of them do not guarantee or match what they attach. what we can do is do our own research and help from forum users here. as well as look in the Utas section about fraud projects, maybe this is all we can do here.

It is true that we cannot fully trust true ICO review sites because of the fact that projects can use money to bribe them. However, to preliminary assess a project, we also need something to compare, preliminary assessment. So, personally, I think we can still rely on the reviews of those sites to rate it in part. For the remainder, we will examine the information posted by the ICO review project / website to verify: check the past projects that the CEO has done, about the feasibility of the project, about the team. the team, about the tools they are going to do, about the open source on github ... In short, the main job is still you, and the other information sources are for reference only.

There is no source of information where you find free and trusted information about investments because why would someone do that for free? It doesn´t make a sense right?

It makes sense, but not all of us are scammers, there are honest people in cryptocurrencies. In case you don't like something about some new project you should just skip that one, nobody force anyone here to invest in unknown projects that can make you some profit, or not!
