I don't believe in ICO ranking sites. Most of them are paid and not real.
The more they get from the team (payment) the better the rank they will give!

What I am looking for in ICO is looking at MVP, live and working products. Something that really can make a difference. Not just empty words with fancy pictures.

Of course they are not trust able. Poor quality project always try to find this kinda opportunity to manipulate investors. Own research is the key for finding a good quality project for invest. Here is an article to show you how to find a proper ico/ieo project for investment. Always remember to stay away from greedy offer and patience till proper time come.

This is true & it didn't surprise me either. Everyone who already involved & has some knowledge about the crypto world knows that very well. Here any project can be presented as higher ratings for some money. So investing based on this rating is nothing but nonsense.

Don't make the mistake of trusting rating sites.
Most of them are paid rating sites and will always yield to the bidder that's why there are disclaimers.

Do your researches without bias, use rating sites as a tool
Yes, it's better to do risk without bias, and use ranking sites only as a tool not to trust them, because paid ranking sites will always provide attractive offers to each of their users, so doing your own research is much better than directly trusting ranking sites.

ICO websites are for reference purposes only, so don't ever rely on it completely, many projects are well rated but in fact they are scam projects. Do your own research and be very careful when it comes to investing in ICO projects at the moment

The ico website only cares about payments and doesn't care about the project data that is displayed, therefore you shouldn't rely too much on or trust any ico ranking sites. what they display is not what you expect it to be.
I guess you meant about icobench but it looks like the majority of ico sites are not doing it. There must be some exceptions for those sites who are actively giving good information regarding the legit icos.
Some sites like icodrop never did it. In my life the only site was doing paid to promote was icobench.

In my opinion if they have a website with real photos of the team I think that it will be safe for your investment . Be sure they have linkedin accounts connected with their websites
Yes, that's right, but now many of the original team photos can be edited in such a way that it is very difficult to differentiate between real and fake, as well as fake websites that are almost identical to the real ones, so be careful before you go ahead make investments.

The time ICO rating website use to be useful is long gone, since the 2017 most of them have turned greedy and can sell their soul for money. Anyone still relying on them for investment decision should just invest in Lottery. Good that ICO is dieing gradually but I have feeling something similar to ICO would return and people would forget about what happens in 2017 and 2018

There are still many ICO rating sites now even though there are lesser and lesser ICO being launched, if the ICO is stopped or investors stopped investing in ICO totally I don't see the rating sites continuing their business, which they badly messed up by supporting scam ICO in the past and until now.
Agree with you, more and more ICO review websites are appearing. But since most of them are replicating each other and making unfair reviews, we shouldn't trust these review sites because they often receive money from new projects to make judgments positive review

I'm just afraid when people see the ranking of a project on a rank site, then that person is interested. however, until now there have been quite a number of projects that have become scams, and still have good data on sites like that. to be honest, I also don't really believe in the rank given, but it's good enough for those who are new to crypto investments.

some cases many who scam and put up fake photos and make it look like it means they take pictures of someone who is on the internet and after that put it on the project website that was developed and as if he was part of the team so that if only linkedin I think it's still lacking safe, at least have a variety of media associated with it and make sure to search for images that have in common.

True, it's hard to find a reliable review provider nowadays, they operate for a profit, so we can't expect that they will not be bias as they could be bribe by a certain project just to get a good review on the website, even the most review provider, we can't totally rely on them.

To ensure we are confident of our decision, we need to make a research and investigate on our own.
Kinda sad that people are basing the ratings of their own choice of ICOs.
I remember some ICOs having a KYC pass before as well in some ratings sites.
How much more could that deceive the investors nowadays? :/

I have been telling this people for a long time. It's not the ranking sites only, there are ico advisors and YouTube channels also who promotes projects. Now the question is how do you differentiate? Do they talk about Cons of the project? Do any of them ? Mostly they don't. If any one of them does then it is likely that he is not bought by the project to do the review about them.

I think people should know to research on their own no matter how much the project is on buzz and no matter how many advisors are advising to invest. It's your money and you should do your due diligence. They are not going to compensate the money if the project scams.

I personally use ico ranking sites as reference materials and do not depend on them. as wise investors need to research more about the project, the product and how big the investor or partner in it. the ico website does not fully guarantee that the project will succeed.

agree, it could be a first reference, but marketing money is there to cover up all project fails, when rank on ICO, so i do not believe in rankings that much, just a first glance, if that score is bad, than chances that project is good are really small, although could be

yes it is true, that to not completely trust the ICO website or use it for reference materials only. I personally also do not trust any ico web sites, learning from previous experience that I have trusted ico web sites that display good projects like #Miracletele but in reality the project ends with fraud.

Most rating sites are paid to give some sort of ratings to projects. Also, the so-called experts who do reviews on many of these sites are not really experts, so one should not trust the opinion of another quack. it is best to do your own findings and make judgments accordingly. MVP is a good start.
