What makes you think this is their wallet address? I'm in the US and thats not the address I sent my funds to. I think its pretty obvious they use some service that collects the money. Everyone has to send to a unique address, otherwise how would they know you paid?

I'm assuming they create a wallet for you to send to, you send it, then it all gets sent to single wallet. So if China got 6k payed by RMB, and everyone else used bch, then we are looking at over 10k units in first batch. That is 13x what the current network is, so once first batch gets hooked up and mining, profit is immediately 1/13th of what calculators show. So last night it showed about $500/day....Reality will be $38/day, or $1100 per month assuming no others come online. Lets assume they do another 10k units in a month, now we are at $550/mo....Do it again next month, and we are at $225/mo. So yeah, if they drop another 10k batch in next 30 days, you might get ROI in 3 months, another 10k after that, and.....

you math is way off, remeber they have been 'testing" these units for weeks most likely , so the true hash rate rise is probbaly closer to tripple or double. Then factor in we are in a major crypto price crash, in 14 days when/if these arrive
you will be looking at close to double price wise on sia and verge so I would say you will still earn around $300 a day for the first month of that first batch

after that who knows

If that is the case and they have been testing them, wouldn't it have shown up on the network already? When I looked last night, sia network was only running at 675 TH/s total....Wouldn't 5k units show much more?

Bitmain is in an all out war right now with competitors. These are not stupid people. They put on this benevolent front, but it's clear they are very ruthless. I don't admire that but I understand it. Just like Amazon, Google etc. These are the ways of today's greedy and commercially obsessed world. It's palpably ironic to see this play out in the very space that was invented to change exactly that. Conclusion......Human kind is hopeless.

Its legit... by chinese laws, bitmain can not sell this machine in the mainland by any cryptocurrency, they sell it only in RMB... you can check their chinese website

"5. You will need an ATX PSU with at least 10 six-pin PCIe connectors...Bitmain recommends the APW3++ to power the A3.
6. Separate power supply to control board: there is one additional six-pin PCIe connector on the IO board which must be connected to the PSU to get power.

This confused me a bit ... still brand new to Asic miners here, this will be my first one. (I'm also in China btw, so also paid that Chinese premium) in case people didn't realize its ~USD 500 more expensive to buy it here in China.

Also is there any additional software needed? Or just need a pc to configure wallet ? I'll try to do all my research in the next couple of days so I can start day 1 when the miner arrives

It isn't very clear, but I think the reason they say you need an extra PSU is because the APW++ has 10 connectors, but they are in 5 pairs of 2. The IO Board is probably too far away for the 5th cable to to plug into a hashing board and the IO Board.

APW++ has 2 groups of 4 and 2 individual cables

If this is even true, and who knows if it is, don't forget that Bitmain also makes other equipment than the A3. The miner came out in the middle of the night in the US, but it was the middle of the day in China. They also release their other miners sporadically, and they sell miners in China that they don't sell to the rest of the world (T9+, G2, ETC) There is no way to gauge how many miners they sold based on how many funds are funneling into that address. And for all we know that is an address of a 3rd party that collects the money and pays Bitman in Yen

That makes sense. Good point. Product notifier on telegram started going crazy after midnight. They listed some L3+ at the same time. So I would its possible its would be some of those as well. I do know that when the link was posted last night, that there wasn't a whole lot in there. Think it was about 500units worth the first time I checked. I know that the S9 and others went on sale the day before, so dont think those were part of it. Regardless, as always, time will tell. Address has 13mil in right now, so over 5k units of whatever mix they sold.

I'm sure that Bitmain does this when coin is really cheap speculating that it will rise. They could easily 1.5x revenue by holding a little bit after this sale.
