Hi,

I'm selling my all 1036.62216526 BTE. Offers, please!

If you are serious about selling your BTE please post an address to show you have that amount available.

The address is in my signature.

Why there is a difference? https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9y1PfV7pY_OSmZycGJLQ1haWW8/edit?pli=1

How many transactions does the 'Transactions' tab on your wallet show?

Do I have to count them manualy? Sad

No. Click on the receive coins tab. Do you have more than one address listed? If so, the rest of your BTE may be stored in one of those addresses. The total you see on the Overview tab is the sum of all BTE stored in your addresses. If you are still interested in selling, PM me. Thanks.

Overview tab: Number of transactions: 551; Balance: 1036.62216526 BTE; Unconfirmed: 0.00 BTE
Receive coins tab: one and only address 8Fyj7FjJ1Fq4wG3VPeJ8Lt7CnSDfUUz2S4

Rather than buying old coin at the new rate, I might make a 1 time purchase.  Is your 0.0005 exchange rate above in BTC/BTE?  So...perhaps 3,000 BTE for 1.5 BTC?  How many old coin do you have to sell?

Bytecoin difficlty is here
Bitcoin difficulty is here

Just to confirm - are you saying you will accept my newly minted BTE at the exchange rate (difficulty_bytecoin/difficulty_bitcoin) set at time the BTE was mined (currently 35794/11187257 = 0.0032) for an agreed length of time (how long?) - and also take the sale of my current BTE at rate 0.0005 - example 20k BTE for 10 BTC?

Will

I agree to the rate, but at the moment neither offer is open ended.  I am awaiting my own miner to generate the BTC first.

I am willing to buy 2k of existing BTE for 1.0 BTC now.  That receiving address is 8UWtVBTDK2WMHRL9ufgRzWsSFMhAkiK8HP

I am willing to buy 1 newly minted block of 50 BTE for 0.15997666 BTC.  I would like to start this block anytime when the previous block is at least 2 hours old.    This is a 1 time test purchase.  That BTE receiving address is 8T5iBArqxBtYGkMu52PkCRv6kLJupm1zBQ.  Is it possible to just assign me as a 50 BTE recipient for the newly generated coins in that 1 block?  There is so much I still need to learn.

I am paranoid about sending a payment to an incorrect address.  I have just paid those two address a seed payment of 0.001 BTE, to verify that all is well.

ProfMac, I applaud your efforts to get BTE moving again, but it's not going to happen without a significant drop in difficulty. When that happens it won't stay that way for long as the guy with the ASIC/server farm will point his hardware at BTE again and the difficulty will be right back up to what it is now or higher.  Only 1 block today (5-30), 2 yesterday, 1 the day before. The movement necessary for profitable trading simply isn't there.

You mentioned earlier that it's hard to set a BTE price based on difficulty. I think it's impossible. The price will be set not by exchanges or miners but by what people are willing to pay for it. Right now BTE is practically worthless but it does have future possibilities as it's a BTC clone and has a good chance of remaining decentralized.. That's why I have a standing offer of 1.0 BTC for 10,000 BTE.

I'm quite amazed at the prices you are offering for BTE. Sellers should be beating a path to your door.

Hi,

I have had some success with a block-chain auction.  That might work for you.

In it's simplest form, you post and address and announce what block the auction will end.
Bidders pay their bid to that address.
You may want to extend the auction 10 more blocks from the payment block if a bid comes in before the ending block.
And of course, return the non winning bids.

TheJuice has written a web page to help follow the totals in such auctions.

Sorry, but I'm a doctor, not a computer genius. I just understand the option of bid/ask Smiley You mention a price, I say: Yes or No.

**BEWARE**

Byte-Gox has become scammer and started stealing a lot of users coins using his pool and exchange.
Avoid pool.bytecoin.in and exchange.bytecoin.in... They are scam sites.

In the beginning there was a bug in the payout system of pool.bytecoin.in, after some PM problem was fixed and I compensated, It seems a nice guy not a scammer at all.

That was at the beginning, no I can't tell.

We need to cut our losses and get behind the work that TacoTime is doing with NetCoin. What we are currently doing with ByteCoin is nothing more that a feeble attempt to ride on Bitcoin's coat-tails... a little pathetic chaps (that includes myself.)

I disagree.  It is a way to double the transaction capacity, and to focus on a smaller number of industries.  Perhaps coffee merchants, or grocery stores.  It is very, very easy to define an approximate exchange rate based on the difficulty.  Whether or not it was an April 1 item, I still think it has merit.

However, the hash rate has to stay constant.  If people mine it heavily then let the block chain stagnate, it will die.

Will, do you think there is some value to the bytecoins? What does your crystal ball say?

I think Bytecoin will have an increase in value as new people find Bitcoin. It's essentially a carbon-copy clone of Bitcoin, and its basically Bitcoin as it was a year or two ago.

Cheif Oompa Loompa.
looking to sell some BTE - I have a few thousand, I think the last price on the exchange before it went down was around 0.0005...?  PM me and I'm sure we can make a deal.

Will

The network hash rate is pretty slow, and needs to be more stable.  Are you in a position to mine?

I am willing to discuss an exchange rate for newly mined coins that gives you the same BTC income you would have mining them directly.

potentially interested if you could set a price of BTE exchange at the rate (difficulty_bytecoin/difficulty_bitcoin) set at time the BTE was mined (currently 35794/11187257 = 0.0032) - as long as for each 1 freshly minted BTE I sell to you at this rate, you take 1 of my current stock of BTE at the same rate.

I think this is mutually beneficial to us both.
