earlier this year I tried to hold some coins and tokens but saw the market and the exchange getting downhill, what is the best move to sell it or hold it?

Just do not sell! On the contrary, to buy in parts while there is a correction.

If you are really down, you have no choice but to hold it (considering that its a good coin) and wait for a better position to sell. Each has its own cycle in the market. You may want to continue honing your skills in trading and investing while waiting.

I recommend to hold your coins because it is a bad time to sell your coins right now. All coins are red and I expect some nice action in summer 2018. We are just going to correct a little bit but thats okey for me. I just buy the coins where I am heavly under water.

Selling your coins now is the worst thing which you can do. Yes, price falled down but you can not panic. Keep calm and wait, because in future these coins will back to norm

I think at the moment if you want to sell all your coin to cut your loss is too late. But if you feel that the coin that you're holding has good potential in the future you can keep holding and wait until it rise back. But you shouldn't check the price of your coin everyday cause it'll make you feel panic if the price still dumping hard.

In all these imput and suggestions about " hold or sell",i think there may be certain case sinero that may bring about selling ones Bitcoin even if the prices of Bitcoin or altcoin has pump up very high.
Now, many Bitcoin owners at some time or another has asked themselves whether or not they should sell their bitcoin they currently own. There are so many variables to the equation that making a decision can end up feeling like guesswork. Even at this point, some want to sell may be because they saw the price droping like what will experience in the last two months, when bitcoin price fall from all time high of19000$ to14000$ then to 11000$ ,and 7000$ respectively but came back to11000$ etc.
However, the decision to sell may vary on individuals ,for example ,what if your business was in a boom period and you had the opportunity to expand but not the money to expand because it was all tied up in Bitcoin investment . It might make more sense to sell and put the funds into your booming business.
Nevertheless, selling ones bitcoin may depend on other reasons not necessarily because you want to rake quick return or panicking selling .

At present prices are low now best strategy should hold your investment till the market gets recover and then you may be able to sell at your desired value if you sell now you would surely lose your investment.Another benefit is to buy more as the price is low and hold it for a time when market is at boom then sell it.Dont be panic these situations are very common in Crypto.Only those receive benefit who hold their investment for long time.

Such market downs are normal and you should not panic. The only wise decision at this situation is to hold what you have and do not sell at a loss.  Smiley
Ah! Common man, $1000 drop in one big red candle of 1hr is really normal for you? Though market would recover gradually later but it doesn't mean that nothing has happened. These kind of dips caused by massive panic selling noobs, whales only trigger at the top.

Today, the craziness in the market. On all exchanges are large warrants for sale. I do not know whether this is connected with Japan and Japan’s financial regulator statements. But the fact remains. Whales sell a large volume of bitcoin and the rate fell within an hour.

Trust in your coins, hodl or sell until you get your desired profit.. The market will surely recover, this isn't the first time the market was down.

Dont panic when you had the coins is getting low its value. Before investing better to do some checking if the coins is valuable and their project is good. As a newbie you should know the risks in investing and panic selling is not the right attitude that you have, instead know its development of the coin if worthy.

you should dig as much information as possible about the coins. switch only to 3 altcoin or more according to your ability to manage it that you think has the potential to improve. thereby minimizing losses. do not focus on 1 altcoin

First timer jitters with regards to investing. It is all about discipline and patience. Lacking either one can be destructive to your investment goals. Emotions generally have no place in investing. There is definitely no value in daily media commentary - turn off the television and save yourself the mental capital. You have to manage the inherent risk to your investment capital.
