Wait a few more hours until difficulty jumps and it should all work itself out.

If anything this has been amusing to watch unfold.....hehe.

Just forget about your greed for a few more hours.....go watch some porn and jerk off a few times...when you come back...all better!

Wow.. I never thought I'd say this, but it's actually much more profitable to mine Ixcoin at this point.

I've got about 1,100MH pointed at i0Guild, but never get a share, they just won't keep connected, seems only 8 people can connect and hence get any shares...

finally pulling in shares again, 5 i0c/share

Good for you never seen one accepted yet.

how much are you mining with?  i am at 1/2 gh/s

Only had four of my miners connected so roughly 1.1gh/s

weird, i would keep it running though, i think after 10k blocks we'll see it start to move a little better

Just wonky all around, separated chains, even with current chain I generated some blocks in phoenix miner but they don't show in my client.

Whoa there, remember I0Coin adjusts difficulty for every 5 minutes. A difficulty of 1 is fine, you'd solo just as much or even more because everyone else is in your situation.

Does it? Last I read it retargets every 2 weeks or 2016 blocks, whichever is sooner.

My client is still not connecting. I added rpcport=8332 to conf file and added my ip rpcallowip and the client is still not connecting.

Read post #33

Either I'm doing something colossally stupid, or something is wrong. I created an i0coin.conf in User->Appdate->Roaming->I0coin and has the lines rpcport=7332 in it. Still does not connect. Is there anything else to add to the conf file that I'm missing?

What is your command line for the miner?

Also, your i0coinc.conf needs to contain these lines (at least):

server=1
rpcuser=xxxx
rpcpassword=xxxx
rpcallowip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
rpcport=7332

Got it to work. For some reason I had all those parameters, but it just didn't want to connect. Oh well. At least I'm in! Yay. Thanks for the trouble though. Much appreciated

Interesting - the infrastructure can't handle a wide public announcement until the difficulty is high enough to prevent all the blockchain forking.

Solution is to set the starting difficulty high enough to prevent early adopters from making easy fortunes, but low enough to not be a barrier to entry.

I wonder what the magic number is.

I'd say probably at least 100K. That would take an average of about 7 minutes or so for 1TH to generate each block.
