Isn't it safe to say you joined the forum for a good reason? Cus I guess atleast 83% of newly registered Users are afterall hoping to rank up and ....uhhh join a campaign someday..look, I'm not saying it's bad yunno, buh it shouldn't be termed a "prerogative" ...NO!! Afterall, this days, camp managers would do alot to keep you away if you ain't got the qualities they need for the damn job - so all you need isn't merit for now.... All you need is knowledge to attract 'em accolades- in form of merits.
P/s; if you try to maneuver, then we will all witness the end of your desperation just like we witnessed your registration....[..]
Edit: what's this accusation I'm seeing above?

I visited almost all of the rooms even though it was just a peek without doing any other activity. This shows I'm still in the category of members who are still learning.
Just to back you up I also agree with you because even though I have become a senior member of this platform but I still do not aware of many rules and many boards and I still missed some of the great and interesting topics that could provide me a hell lot of knowledge. For example recently I get to know that there is a encyclopedia prepared by Ratimov which is named as compodieum or something like that I have bookmarked th topic and will start to read interesting ones soon. Point is, we all are in the state of learning new things .
For those of us who are always trying to find our own qualities and hone them to mature it is very important, but all of that is in vain because the owner of my new topic ignores what we think is important to do. The proof, LoyceV found that the owner of this topic relies more on man-made technology than using his brain function to think like a normal human.

How could he want more value if he behaved like that?

It seems futile. OP just "answered" a 6 years old question and it sounds like generic AI chatbot output:
Hey there! Seems like you're experiencing some delay with the walletnotify feature. One possibility could be network latency or resource constraints on your server. Sometimes, the Bitcoin daemon can prioritize other tasks over notifications, especially if you're running on a low-spec machine. Also, consider checking the logs for any errors that could give more insight.

Surprising that I get this accusation, on that topic I responded to, I actually sorted the page by comments to find any article where I could stand out from the crowd by contributing. I found that post with 0 responses and responded. I then later realised how old it was and stopped, as all of the articles after with 0 comments were from 2011.

In terms of not being active on this thread. True, I haven't responded since. That doesn't mean I haven't been reading all of the useful contributions members have made. Although, a lot just seem to be responding and indirectly advertising their own businesses through signatures.

Welcome to the forum. I don't know your intention of joining this forum. If you want to learn about cryptocurrency then this is the right place. Just take it as a crypto academy, not as an earning platform. Most newbies think of Bitcointalk as an earning platform and regret it in the end. Read as much as you can from the forum. Always try to use the forum search button in case you intend to create a new thread, it will prevent unnecessary spam from the forum and you may get your desired answers from the search.

Welcome to the bitcointalk forum bro. If you really want to learn about forums, it's like you want to learn something new like YouTube, when you get to know something new you have to read a lot and find out from many sources. In this forum you also have to be like that, you have to read often and your curiosity must also be high so that you have the motivation to find what you want. There are many sub forums that you should explore especially in the local section because there it will be easy to understand the forum rules.

Many posts from other friends share important sources of information that you should study, I hope you can study them carefully. In conclusion, you have to use the right mindset, learn something that makes you like it so you feel at home in this forum, manage your time on the forum as best as possible and get into the habit of reading a lot and don't hesitate to ask questions if you don't understand something. Of course you can share your experiences on this forum if you were previously an investor or trader, the most important thing is to avoid spam and fraud.

Hey everyone! I'm new here to Bitcointalk, currently looking around and learning the ropes. Hoping to add value in a crowded space.

Looking for tips on what everyone thinks is the best way to get the most value out of Bitcointalk.

Thanks!

If the value you are seeking is knowledge about Bitcoin, you will certainly get the best here. This forum is second to none when it comes to information about Bitcoin. If you have other intentions like earning from the forum, then you need to work hard for it. Your knowledge of Bitcoin and the form will determine how far you will go in achieving you goal in this forum. I checked one of your posts and I discovered that you are not new in the crypto space because your post was insightful. I want to also remind you that the use of AI tools like chatbots to make posts is prohibited in the forum.

LoyceV is telling you the truth, you have to read very well.
It seems futile. OP just "answered" a 6 years old question and it sounds like generic AI chatbot output:

If he continues this way, he might not last long on the forum. Instead of investing his time to learn about Bitcoin and the forum, he is answering a question that is older than so many legendary members. His next step will be the creation of a thread to teach members of the forum.

while income is not the main factor.

Well, brother, it is all about money, Everyone came here to make money through trading, signature campaigns, bounties, etc., but besides from money, we can do more things if we want. The forum is not just limited to making money but remember the forum was made to discuss bitcoin. but now the forum is wider and people earn money from here so To make a good amount of money you need to be more knowledgeable and that is why most people are here. First, learn and then utilize your knowledge for making money and also share your experience with others.

Welcome to Bitcointalk! For tips, I'd recommend, firstly reading the rules here because they're essential to ensure the safety of your account. Also consider staking your Bitcoin address. In case you ever lose your account your chances of recovery would be significantly improved.

Anyway, enjoy your time in this great community, and I wish you all the best. Smiley

The proof, LoyceV found that the owner of this topic relies more on man-made technology than using his brain function to think like a normal human.
I did not knew that the question or facts that OP made in the statement was copied or AI generated but just to clarify most of the time topics like these are nothing but just a trick to gain merits. I am not accusing anyone here even not the OP. Instead just saying I personally experienced that most of the people who are newbie here and are legit newbies means they are not alternative accounts of others do not tend to make such topic like we are new here teach us the basics etc. etc

Point is, they are just after merits, the fun part is they don't even engage with the replies people made on the topic. Well, I am a believer of don't judge a book by its cover so I am open to all ideas and angles.

I will first acknowledge your coming to the forum and secondly I know that bitcointalk community is all about concentration and mindset, because if you fail to devote out time to learn in bitcointalk you will not understand anything, for you to understand the protocols of bitcointalk you have to engage yourself in discussion and make a personal research concerning the previous discussions in the community.  Secondly, I will like you to avoid spamming, Paraphrasing and Plagiarism in the forum, that is only thing you will avoid via discussion or creating your own thread without been personalised by the conduct of the community, if you want to excel, ensure that you read and understand before posting and also respond to a discussion you understand the paragraphs. Mostly read all the pin posts they are formative.

First read and read again and more, the fact with the forum is that, Bitcoin Talk is not just a one-sided forum with a single motive purpose or relevance, so as a member of the forum who is looking for value from the forum, you must first of all set your one values and what you are looking for in the forum so that you can channel your search towards your preferred subject.
Secondly make sure to have read and understood the general forum rule and regulations, to avoid breaking any of them.

I'm not a new member here, just not someone who actively posts but often reads from every post of other members to gain knowledge.

Where did you find out about this forum, it will greatly affect your intention to become a member of the forum

If you find out from a friend who has already made money here, possibly, he will also say that this is a place to make money

but if you know this forum because you want to know more about Bitcoin and also crypto then you won't mind to keep reading and continue to gain knowledge by doing that, while income is not the main factor.

BTW, welcome to the forum

I think it's pretty clear you have been briefed on what to do here and what not to do because the only way you can make it here is by hardworking and don't ever think of getting past through short cut and by that I mean copy pasting because you feel you don't know much well if you think so then you haven't really tried challenging yourself because you can't know your limits till you try something and I would just advice you to just keep reading to improve and join in the discussion to share the little knowledge you have to offer

I have seen multiple introductions since last week, and here is another newbie joining the forum, making an introduction, and seeking links that have been pinned in different boards on the forum. You are welcome to the forum, and I notice that people who made comments before me already sent you the necessary information, which I believe is going to guide you on the forum here. I just hope you will take your time and go through all of those links that have been provided for you. because most of the newbies don't go through it, which is why they always end up going against the forum rules. I am still going to remind you that you should avoid plagiarism and also avoid using AI to post.

The same way how you would get the most value out of a book, an article, a magazine, a social media group, you name it — a lot of reading and a lot of research. And if you got some compelling questions, feel free to ask and discuss as long as you Google-d the question first as to prevent redundant topics(you know, like this one).

First of all, I wish to welcome you to this forum, the largest Bitcoin community on the face of the planet, where respect is a top priority and obedience to forum rules is a must that must be done. So in regards to the question you just asked about how to get the best value out of this forum, I will like the say that the only ways you can get the most value out of this forum is first, getting yourself familiar the forum, it's rules, the different boards and it's function, and reading more than you post within your first month of being here, as I'm sure you the more you read, the more you are likely to learn and discover new things about the forum.

Lots of reading, lots of knowledge = good value for personal.
Not reading enough, not knowing enough.

In essence, it all depends on goals and hobbies in my opinion.

Try to familiarize yourself with the forum's navigation. Since you are exploring the forum, you might want to pick boards and topics that interest you the most. I suggest reading within this board and the Meta board while you're exploring.

You may find the "value" you're looking for by gaining and sharing insights, as well as monetarily through offering your products and services.

We’ve seen alot of new members join and make comments about how they want to achieve so much here but in the end they lack commitment to keep up so we stop seeing them around. Welcome onboard anyway, value of Bitcointalk in what way? Everyone has different reasons for joining the forum so only know the reason for joining the forum but whatever the reason, to get the best you need to be committed and dedicated because you will read alot if you want to understand so much about the forum. Firstly you should get yourself familiar with the rules of the forum before anything else because alot of newbies get themselves banned because they are ignorant of the rules. Just keep reading and looking around and make contributions when you can.

welcome CoinPunkz. we are glad (and i think i speak for the whole btt community) that you have registered here. as some users here have already mentioned, i would read through the thread he posted at your leisure.
with time and with every visit here (and i'm sure it was the same for most of the users here) you will become more and more familiar with the structure of the forum, how all the sections are divided, which topics can be found under them, aso
if you have already made some experience with Bitcoin in one form and you know yourself very well in a material, then i would recommend you to create your own topics/threads for it (if they do not exist yet (please use the search function)).
and if these are interesting topics, where a discussion arises, i am quite sure that you can earn the first merits right away
with this you will slowly but step by step build up your own personal account and contribute to the further growth of the forum.

Welcome to Bitcointalk mate. I assume you to know a little about Bitcoin if not then you've found the right place to learn all you need to know about it. There are a whole lot of things you can learn being a member of Bitcointalk. But you have to follow some simple rules.

Looking for tips on what everyone thinks is the best way to get the most value out of Bitcointalk.

The most valuable thing you can gain here is knowledge that sets you apart when discussing Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general with others out there. If you take your time to study, you'll quickly notice that you're improving your knowledge. However, if you get sidetracked by other activities you find on the forum, it will be difficult to learn. For now, make sure to follow all the rules, and soon you'll grasp everything you need to know.

If you are here and you are looking for the best way to add value to the community, then I think that's up to you, as the community can't really tell what you are capable of doing and what you are not capable of doing as well. You can add value to the community by starting with sharing things you know and think will be helpful to others, answering questions, and solving others problems, which will be most appreciated.

That's easy: read a lot. Unless you mean financial value, in that case you may have joined for the wrong reasons.
LoyceV is telling you the truth, you have to read very well. Look at what is going on the boards, visit the ones you like, see what they are discussing there. Look at the profile of the good members with high merits, look at how they are posting. Go outside this forum and learn and bring useful information. Read news and grow in knowledge. As you continue to add more to you knowledge, you will become the pro one day.
