OP, until you eventually end up hiding it even from yourself; you won't understand the logic of always keeping it simple. At one time, when I allowed myself to be swept by the paranoia of wallet security, I almost got locked out of a certain wallet. I swept certain words off their positions by interchanging them. I think I took first three words and replaced them with the last three sets but then forgot which came first later. Though it was just a bit of coins in that wallet but I sweated when I couldn't get in back. By stroke of luck I was able to regain the words after several attempts. This day, I just write them out in the simple form. What's gonna be it's gonna be. If you seek wallet security like it's a vault in a central bank, remember that there could arise a situation that may likely alter your access to the wallet outside your control. Ill health and dementia, death and war are all there, just to mention but four.

I could say it will be difficult for the hackers to access your wallet and get the right code but the question is if you still keep the original one or just rely on the translated words. But the bad thing may happen to you and those who tried this is to recover once you miss the right one - as in the end, you both (hackers and owner) got nothing.

We don't need to stress ourselves on how to keep our keys safe because whether we like it or not, we are prone to hacking incidents. We just hope that they won't target us and of course, not to fall into their tricks.

Idea:
Hello, I am sharing a new idea for keeping your crypto seed phrase safe. You can make your seed phrase more secure by translating it into different languages. For more security use a translator and translate in two or three languages and split them to different papers for more security.

I tried to find wallets which may allow multi language seed phrases but not found one, everything was for wallet software translated into different languages.

Question:
So my question is can we generate seed phrases in a different languages with wallet software? Is there any wallet with this feature?

How is that a new way to secure seed phrase? You put it in a paper, and what if someone pick it up? I m sure they are not that dump to not think to use a translator as, we know that most seed phrase is in english. There's too many loop holes in what you suggested. Maybe for you only it will be effective but believe me its not. If you really want to secure your seed phrase then don't write it in your paper, "secure" means no one besides you will access it, so think of another way to secure it. For me even if you don't believe I memorized my seed phrase, that is the most effective way to secure my seed phrase, in case I forgot it I have plan B which is my seed phrase are being encrypted, how? Well IT think I created a program just for me to encrypt and decrypt anything that I want.

It's not worth it bro because you're somehow exposing your seed phrase to the hackers who can easily translate it back to English language with the help of any online translator. It's not a good choice to write your seed phrase on multiple papers as if you lose one of those then you may not be able to recover your wallet.

I don't think that it's worthy to find a wallet software that allows use of multiple language seed phrases because the BIP39 doesn't allow use of multiple languages and only English is currently as the supported language of that standard.

However, you can change seed words into any language as long as the words can be converted back into English without any mistakes. But, still I would prefer you to stick with the traditional ways to protect your seed-phrases rather than following an approach that would make things harder for you.

It's not a new way, but you're just trying to make something different when it's still obvious. I think many of people already know what is 12 and 24 words in cryptocurrency, if they understand about Bitcoin and they see an arranged 12 or 24 words, they might be try to do anything in order to get the English version. Doesn't matter whether it's using local language, code, HEX color etc.

For more security use a translator and translate in two or three languages and split them to different papers for more security.
It means you would share your seed phrase to a stranger and after few minutes later, all of your coins would be gone.

I think this method will not add more security for us, because if you can translate your seed phrase to another language and when your seed phrase is exposed then the thief can also reverse it all. Furthermore, once you have stored your seed phrase in the safest place, it means that no one will know about it. So why do you need an extra layer of security? If you don't trust where your phrase is stored, you should change it immediately instead of trying to complicate things.

Hello, I am sharing a new idea for keeping your crypto seed phrase safe. You can make your seed phrase more secure by translating it into different languages. For more security use a translator and translate in two or three languages and split them to different papers for more security.
There is nothing wrong with the already existing methods of keeping bitcoins safe, trying new ideas on how to keep seed phrase safe may not be the best choice. There are methods of keeping seed phrase safe already, explore those methods and choose the one suited for you. In trying new ideas to keep bitcoin safe, you may not be able to detect the flaws in your methods immediately and so put yourself at risk. Trying new things is not always good.
The flaws you are talking about includes the difficulty when OP tries to translate back to the original language. There are possibilities that the word translated from English to another language has the other meaning/word when translated back to English. Aside from that, the idea of splitting the seed phrase into different papers, the chances of being misplaced or its arrangement, the risk is too high.

It's not bad to find other things to secure seed phrase, however, thinking of the risks should always be considered. Right now, sticking to the existing way of keeping seed phrase is better than trying this method. It's too risky.

Opt for a manual approach, akin to navigating a puzzle with the aid of a dictionary and a dash of randomness. This method not only ensures greater security but, more importantly, shields your sensitive information from online exposure when dealing with your passphrase. Perhaps, if your wallet boasts substantial holdings, you can contemplate transitioning away from this approach and crafting a new wallet alongside a fresh backup passphrase. After all, this is all intricately tied to your wealth.

Maintain a balance between security and accessibility when safeguarding your passphrase. It's a common pitfall for individuals to forget how to recover their passphrase after a prolonged period of disengagement from it. I must emphasize the importance of employing a technique that's straightforward for you but perplexing for others. There's no need to needlessly complicate the process of accessing your assets.

Inquiring about the risk of a breach, it's crucial to acknowledge that all methods bear some level of vulnerability. Therefore, any safeguarding effort is superior to the risk of losing your original passphrase and being unable to recall it, resulting in a complete loss. I don't object to experimenting with online solutions, but ensure they are fortified with complex techniques to prevent them from resembling easily penetrable naked phrases.

There are not common to have wallets that support different language for words in wallet mnemonic seeds.

Why you don't simply use English and stick with it but make multiple backups?
Because at the end, how you keep your wallet backups safely, secretly (no one can access your backups) and usable are most important.

You can try a tool from Iancoleman's Mnemonic Code Converter, that supports some languages.

If you use translator online, your seed phrase can be translated. But we have to be aware that for every word in our seed phrase has synonyms and it is normal that the translation of some of the words of your seed phrase can change which maybe will get you in trouble. For me, I think it's not efficient and still has risk of losing access of your wallet.

I think this idea would make a wallet less secured and I think you can't find one.

Too many wallets were found that has a very good feature which is enough to secure your funds. Sometimes, thinking too hard to create an idea would only make things more complicated and not helpful.

This sounds risky and could lock one out of their own wallet. The thing you may have forgotten about the wallet mnemonic is that it has to be exactly that word. When making translations, the word could later come out as something else. I'm talking about synonyms. And to even make the translation with a software is dangerous on its own unless you built the software yourself or you translate each word from a different account/device.

If an attacker gets all the words, it will be trivial for them to write a script that will translate them all to each of the possible languages and brute force the original seed. So this all is just an illusion of safety, and it only raises the complexity of managing the backup. You might even lock yourself out of your coins and then have to contact someone who can write a code for deciphering your backups.

I fear this will not add extra security to your seed. Instead, like many others mentioned in this thread, you'll get additional issues, because of the problems with reversing your translation and recovering correct words in the original language. Additionally, if I'd spot a set of words similar to a private key and some words would be in some other language guess what would be my first thought?  Roll Eyes

I think it’s both a good and bad idea. For one, a good portion of the world is bilingual so it’s not like you’ll have a problemwith translating it especially if you translate some of your seed phrase’s words into your native tongue. Now the problem starts wjen you start incorporating other languages into the mixture. Imagine using a language you do no know much of, as part of your pass code, it’s either you’ll lock yourself out, or you risk losing your wallet since you’ll be translating shit over the internet and keylogging is so easy to integrate into systems nowadays. A simple email or a text file could carry with it keyloggers.

In any case it’s not inherently a bad idea, it could work and I can already imagine someone doing this . But it has its downsides for sure.

Doing this will only result in trouble as translation errors are possible which would make you not to access your wallet anymore.
This is the truth - no matter what we do, we can't assure 100% security but keeping our seeds phrase properly will help it. Honestly, I'd never do anything like mixing letters, hiding in the vault, etc, but what I did it to write them in my notebook, and fortunately, my funds are still there. That is why I don't see a reason to try other ways if my current keeping style is effective.

IMO, that's a good idea especially if English is just a second language for you and you've got your native language. But don't make it look obvious when you're going to write it down. As long as you're trying to censor the actual phrase of yours and you're doing anything for you to add another extra layer of protection to your seed phrase, do it. I agree with what they are saying that don't search it out on Google because they're keeping track of their visitors and searched words.

I am not that new to the Internet, just I don't able to explain because of my bad English.
A seed phrase has 12 words, first I written that 12words in englsih on a paper, then one by one types them in the translator(i dont need to use translator because i know 4-5
indian langauges) by changing languages one by one.

Also I didn't think about security breach though,  I just shared my idea but learned other ways to secure seed phrase.

Instead of translating the individual words of the seed phrase into other languages, how about writing down only the first four letters of each word instead of the entire words?
The first four letters are enough to decipher all the words of your phrase, and for the vast majority of people, that set of letters written on paper will mean nothing, even if they find it by accident.

So your seed phrase becomes something like:

Code:
ISSU-FLAM-SAMP-LYRI
FIND-VAUL-ANNO-BANN
CUTE-DAME-CIVI-GOAT

Ok I know what you mean,
You translated the words one by one in a different language, thus making the Seed Phrase seem not easy to guess.
and the original language of Seed Phrase is English and not in other languages.

You need to know that AI technology is now increasingly sophisticated.
Changing in any form of language can be translated easily.
AI will also provide references when there are several translations that contain multiple meanings or synonyms.

Take a look at the illustration below, how easy it is to translate Seed Phrase in various languages that I created.
Just write "Translates to English ...... " and you're done.

It is possible that there will be some errors, but it is already close to the actual meaning of the translated Seed Phrase.

In my opinion, translating your seed phrase into different languages is not a bad idea but not good either. Your seed phrase may be known by other people since you are using a translator. Try searching here in the forum on how to keep your seed phrase safe and there will be different ways to do it. Avoiding storing seed phrase online is what many people will give when they are giving an advice on how to keep your seed phrase safe and sound.
