So far, we have had many methods of storing bitcoins and it has worked well. I think people are satisfied with those methods, people will not risk trying any new methods proposed. So I think you don't need to share or introduce it to everyone because in my opinion, many methods have been shared by many people and most of them criticize more than support them.
More complicated does not mean higher security and conveniece for recovery process. With recovery, you need a process to do it correctly, smoothly and comfortably. Do you need a complicated recovery process?
I don't and I believe you and many people do not need it.
Most important for your money, if you lose direction in a middle of complicated process and fail with recovery, you lose your bitcoin.
How complicated is it? Because as I said, each person will have different thoughts and preferences, it may be complicated for you and me, but for OP, it is very simple and helps him be more confident in protecting his bitcoins. So should he follow his intuition or do what you say when it's his bitcoin?
Each method has advantages and disadvantages, you just need to do it the way you think is safest for you, you no need to share your method because everyone will have their own thoughts.
For your practice, you need time and practice make perfect. If you already master a wallet, a backup and recovery method that is proven as safely by experts and many people apply it, you don't have to try new things.
New things mean risk and you should never take risk with your money.
This idea is not completely new, it is like an upgrade of old methods by increasing complexity and difficulty. I wouldn't see anything riskier with this approach but it probably wouldn't increase our security either. This is my opinion, but I think the OP thinks it's good for him, so I say he should choose the method he thinks is best for him.
