Hello everyone.

I am new to this forum and fairly new to the crypto world. I was a teacher of political and economic history and believe that the adoption of cryptocurrency and blockchain are a natural and inevitable economic development. I know next to nothing about the technology, but believe passionately in the possibilities it offers in terms of socioeconomic opportunity for all.

I'm working very hard to get up to speed with blockchain applications and the possibilities they might offer moving forward. I can see myself spending many hours in this forum as I try to absorb as much info as I can.

Looking forward to making some (hopefully valuable) contributions.

Toots.

Welcome!

Welcome aboard and enjoy your stay at Satoshi's forum. Since you have already familiarized yourself with the rules you probably know the basics already. Two rules are particularly important:

- Plagiarism
- Spamming

<...>
Well, these two, particularly plagiarism, is not new to him. I mean, he's a teacher so most probably, he knows that copying other's content and idea is wrong. And I believe he won't do anything that would ruin his reputation. But still, that's worth advising someone regardless of the profession.

Anyway welcome to this forum, McToots! Some comes before me have already included those helpful threads that you might find useful during your stay here. Feel free to ask questions for there are lots of users here willing to provide their knowledge and help.

Enjoy your journey!

Welcome to this forum with us. As you are new here, it is better for you to return to the rules of the forum and read and understand them well. In addition to that you need to read all the rules installed at the top of each section and I hope that you will get all the information you need from this forum

Good to see that there is a teacher here and support the use of the cryptocurrency and especially bitcoin as you said you already read the rules and some of the members is already given the additional things and information you needed on the forum and about learning and the only thing you need is read all of that stuff or make your own study.

Welcome aboard and enjoy your stay at Satoshi's forum. Since you have already familiarized yourself with the rules you probably know the basics already. Two rules are particularly important:

- Plagiarism
- Spamming

When a user gets banned on Bitcointalk it is usually due to copy/pasting or spamming. Since you are a teacher you know that plagiarism is a serious offense. If you ever copy/paste any part of a text, always put it in quotes, add a link to the source, or better yet, don't copy/paste anything at all.
Spamming, advertising, begging, thread hijacking, are some other things you should not do.

Based on the first impression you made, all of the above is not something I believe you will engage in.
If you get tired of the Blockchain niche, drop by the Serious Discussion board > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=250.0. You wont be able to post their yet, but there are always interesting reading materials on offer.

I think plagiarism and spamming is already noted to him because if you are a teacher even it is not plagiarism is a case that can send you in jail but here we have a report and negative trust to give to the people who still do that.

I WAS a teacher, and you have me mixed up with whoever posted this on my thread. I am not selling anything at 70%! I am just here to learn about Bitcoin. Thanks for the warm welcome.
@McToots just ignore it. Someone was posted like that and the user already got punishment for that. None said you are offering that. So don't worry about it and. Just skip it and keep learning.

Boobl,

Welcome, since you want to teach people/kids about crypto, in first place teach yourself what is "escrow" and why is it important for the security of each buyer and seller.
Just a note to everyone who welcome warm this "teacher".

Hi!
I'm new to this site, but not new to the crypto world!
I have been working with bitcoin for a very long time and get it in different ways! This is my way of earning money!
I have a lot of regular customers and I'm always looking for new regular customers!
I sell bitcoin for 70% of the cost of bitcoin!
If you are interested, we can discuss it!
If you have your terms, then I'm ready to discuss it!
I will be glad to cooperate!

quoted for reference.

So you are selling you bitcoin with 70% off? First I want to say this is not a place for trading. You could post your offer is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0 if you want to sell your bitcoin.

The offer you provided is very fishy and looks suspicious. Don't try anybody to.

Conversation screenshots he's refusing escrow and "selling" bitcoin at 70% of the value which is obvious scam!

You have the potential to grow and reach maturity here in this forum because you have a good goal, you need to expand not only on this forum butt on other venues that teaches everything about blockchain and cryptocurrency since you are a teacher you know how to learn things and where to look, my only recommendation is for you to create a good and attractive title to your post, something that will generate interest.

First of all welcome to the forum and also I hope that your teaching module about cryptocurrency will be approve by your superior since there are some content in crypto history that involves illegal transaction especially in its early stage which bitcoin are used as currency in the underground market for buying illegal stuff like guns, drugs and other illegal stuff.

I'm sure that you will dig deeper since your topic will be economic history and finding that stuff will be inevitable. But nowadays. Cryptocurrency is on the right track and already approaching to mass adoption which is quite good for economics lesson for the younger generation.

Best of luck here! I will be happy to assist you if ever you have questions here. Just PM me.  Smiley
