So, do I have to make at least 5 messages in troll reservation to be allowed to post in the wild?

Bwahahaha! Wait till you discover that it also takes 4 hours online.
I just found out that somehow, browser logged-in but minimized time doesn't seem to count. Efing....

Someone is going to suffer for this.

Look, really, I don't understand what to write in the newbie forums when I really want to comment in some post or ask a question. So the only option is to do 5 pointless posts, like this one.

Or I can do 5 troll posts in this troll reservation (newbie forum). But does that make me less of a troll? Don't think so, I could even get a habit trolling ppl.

Interesting policy. Very interesting. I would imagine some people have opinions about this.

One more - posting here for 'newbie post-count mouse wheel running'. Hello everyone. First post here, one of um... five that won't say much. Came here via a link to the "I'm Kevin, and I bought 250K btc" thread. Blah blah blah, can I post for real now huh? Are we there yet?

No. Guess not. Damned spammers. Oh NOW look what you've made me do.

So that's why there was no 'reply' button on the page.  Been lurking a while and just signed up.

I think this will cause an increase in spam on the forum, although the only real alternative would be to manually approve every single member by looking at their posts.

I'm posting a message in this topic, while i actually haven't got anything interesting to say.

Yet another tongue tied Script Kiddie (infant) with nothing to say worth posting?

I'm posting a message in this topic, while i actually haven't got anything interesting to say.
I do have some interesting things to say in other topics, but i can't post cause i'm a newby apparently, atlhough i already follow bitcoin for quite a time now.
But hey, i need to get my post count up, because otherwise I will never be able to post in the non-newbie section  Sad,
and the biggest problem is that I have to do it while I havent got anything interesting to say in the newby section.
Well, this count for 1 post, I hope I don't have to make too many of these kind of posts cause very soon I'm going to run out of ideas for posts in the newbie section  Smiley

4 hours is indeed a long time.  It doesn't even seem accurate, is the forum aware of every moment that I have the tab open or something?
No it's not.  I have been in here for months and it still shows me at under two hours.

Yep, I've been browsing the various sections for quite a while now (pretty much the whole weekend) and I still only show 2 hours and 54 minutes.

Brilliant, nearly two hours later and my browsing time has gone from 2 hours and 54 minutes - to - 2 hours and 57 minutes !!

What are these, bitminutes ?

Win

This used to be accurate months, and months ago, but It's taking me 15+ minutes of browsing to advance by a minute.

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts.

If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic.

Also:
- You must have made one post in order to send PMs.
- You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature.
- You need 50 posts to put an image in your signature.

I can post several days ago, and I just failed to reply a post, so finally I found this rule.
Thanks!

thanks... sux spamers gotta ruin it for the newbies.

Couldn't agree more.  I've been lurking here for almost a month now, reading everything and learning.  I decide I'm now informed enough to intelligently contribute to the conversation, so I sign up and go right to posting.  Oops, nope.  LOL.

Oh well, sooner or later I guess.
