Lets go, newbie-post!  I wonder what the site uses to determine that you are idle, vs just reading stuff on a page...

My guess is it has some server-side timeout, where you need to cause some post back to refresh the idle countdown.

I can say refreshing the page every 10 seconds for 3 hours works great...

The time for checking activity is weird. I have 1.25 hours but I have spent far more time reading and surfing here.

When my computer goes to sleep after idle time the clock stops and I think the internet connection goes to idle. Which can be a good security feature.  If I am just idle on this site but still using the computer this clock keeps running.

Does this have to be the active tab? I left this open while doing other things for over an hour, came back to refresh, and the "total time logged in" didn't change at all.

Do you need both 5 postings and 4 hours online continuously?

4 hours of actively logged in total. I came back after 8 hours idle to this: "Total time logged in: 35 minutes." What trash.

Not trash... Good idea! - stops people idling there way through!

Wish I had registered a while ago, but for some reason I didn't expect these kinds of rules to be in place. I've been lurking here for months.

This is my 5th post.
