sigh, as I see most are just posting here to bypass restrictions ... so am I now

I'm surprised to hear they were having problems back then. I had heard of Bitcoin, but never really looked into it until two weeks ago. It took me about 6 hours to read up on the algorithms and convince myself this was legit.
Was about to complain about the restriction prior to 5 posts, until I read the start of this thread talking about reducing it from 50 back in '11 - ha!
Post 5. Can I leave this wasteland now? 
Does the restrictions have changed or are they the same as the ones shown on the first page of this topic?

In 2011 I managed buying some bitcoins. Meanwhile I changed my laptop and I honestly have no idea how and where I may find my bitcoins??
I updated Bitcoin but the purse is empty... Do I have to enter a code or so??
Any constructive help highly appreciated! I think I bought at Mt Gox...
