Before introducing some restrictions it would make sense to:

1. Agree on which impact is expected and how it will be measured.
2. Define a due day for a check-up / adjustment.
3. Measure the impact and update the action plan.

Otherwise, how will you know that it helps?

Heres to gettign my restictions lifted! Good to know that they are sensible but not too restrictive.

They are trying to keep the forums safe from scammers.  This barrier is all they really have besides vetting people.

Welcome!

I've been mining for 5 months or so, trying to get started on LTC but am running into discrepancies on the # of shares cgminer reports vs. what the pools give me credit for.

Both pool owners use this site as their exclusive means of contact. Go figure. Now I get to make a bunch of pointless posts so I can actually get in touch with them.

I finally found the reason why I can not make a post.  I wish there was some sort or question and answer test that could prove I am enlightened and not ignorant.  I may be new to this forum but not new to this topic.

The most annoying thing about this newbie restriction, is that ive spend countless hours on this website, but because i wasnt registered, and even though now i am my vpn changes my ip every 5 minutes, so almost none of the time ive been here has counted, lol.

I like the idea of restricting newbies...keeps the rest of the thread clean I guess.

Seems silly to require posts as they are most likely pointless, but thanks for letting us know (1 down)

As good as it is for established members, I imagine it would make more people post random stuff in the newbies section just to get the required amount of posts.
