I feel the Facebook Coin is going to be the next big thing in the space considering the number of Facebook users that will adopt the blockchain technology through the Facebook Coin.
It's too far to think about the facebook coin caused by we don't know whether it will become a real thing. There was a lot of legal problems with it and so many countries were preventing facebook to go to their countries as the banned statement has already released before. it will not happen in the future.
I don't think that the facebook coin will go so far as it's just stable coin, it will just create awareness to the people but that doesn't mean that it will have a strong purchasing power in the crypto community, I think it will still Bitcoin and Ethereum that will have greate massive adoption this year, they will still continue to rise.

Those alleged  preventions still holding this coin to workout, investors and traders are also basing from the news and while there's still some
cases of negativity flowing from the release of this project. It still early for this to have such impacts still the incoming halving is the one that
have the big influenced with the positive movement from this industry.

There is no information againts facebook anymore seem like this project has been leaving by their developer. I heard some news a few months back that some companies which have corporation to build up libra coin have leaved slowly and the government of US has threatened to launch the libra coin. So don't expect too much against this project that will be the big thing for cryptocurrency. Seem like you have forgoten that at this year bitcoin will meet halving event and I think that is the real thing to say this event is really the big think for cryptocurrency.

This 2020 will surely bring huge demand on the overall market itself as two best cryptocurrencies will have major event, bitcoin will have its halving and ethereum will switch to POS from POW. We dont know yet what impact this could bring but this will be huge. This 2020 is all about adoption and using blockchain and cryptocurrency in the real world for them to be used.

Possibly, but at current situation it was heavily scrutinized by government and  found some flaws. Some backers and investors back out already and distances themselves. But if all flaws is iron out, Face book coin will be a good driver for growth and adoption.

I also believe that this year would be great, at least it would be greater than last year
Halving must get interested more from many people. such as what happened in the last halving

I see many reason to get pump in this year beside halving, country starts to get interested, company joined, some minor reasons.
we would like to see another pump in this and next year, altseason is what we are looking for.
Bitcoin halving is really a good start to look forward for since it will definitely make a positive impact on its value. Aside from that, it will be very beneficial for us if banks will start to backed and support crypto which will create fast adoption for crypto not just in a single country but even in most countries.

Mass adoption? Stable coins made by some famous companies and even countries? Tokenisation and STOs rise? Something like that I think, but it's always hard to predict.

Agree. It's hard to predict what the next big thing in crypto will be right now. I'd bet that stablecoins and STOs will become the hottest trend in the crypto industry by 2020, as governments have started researching possibilities of launching digital currencies of their own. Not to mention, they're starting to devise a proper regulatory framework for stablecoins within the mainstream world. The announcement of Facebook's Libra cryptocurrency has gathered the attention of worldwide governments and central banks as we know them. As a result, regulations and mainstream adoption will increase leading serious investors (institutional investors) into the crypto industry. New technologies and features are being thoroughly tested in order to make the Blockchain/crypto industry a better place.

While stablecoins and STOs might be the next big thing for crypto right now, we cannot deny that Bitcoin's block halving could contribute towards greater demand of crypto assets across the market. After all, Bitcoin's rise is beneficial for other cryptocurrencies valuation within the mainstream world. This will be the next big thing for crypto yet, as crypto's market capitalization rises towards $1 Trillion USD. Still though, mass adoption is key for new and exciting things to happen in crypto land. Without it, all efforts will be in vain.

Nonetheless, I hope that crypto would soar in both mainstream adoption and price. As long as we "hodl" onto our crypto, we'll be able to sell at higher prices once the hype starts all over again. It's a repetitive cycle where people go towards the next big thing in crypto, resulting in astronomical levels in price within the short term. Just my opinion Smiley

It's now 2020, where many exciting events are yet to come. Bitcoin will experience another reduction in its block reward (halving), while Ethereum becomes closer to adopting PoS into its blockchain network. The space is definitely maturing, but the level of demand is still a lot less than it was back in 2017.
Nonetheless, I'm curious to know what's the next big thing in crypto? Huh
Blockchain and cryptocurrency are indeed one of the biggest evolutions in economics and technology in this decade. This provides many controversial changes and opportunities for some people and even some countries that prohibit them related to anonymity and abuse. But, behind it all there are enormous benefits if able to adapt well.
I do not know, what changes will occur with certainty, what is clear in the coming years will be more and more adoption of blockchain and cryptocurrency in everyday life. It is likely that later it will be easier to make payments using cryptocurrency even though it is micro.
I agree with you, Distributed Registry Technology is a big breakthrough. And transaction transparency too. But such technologies are not good for corrupt officials, since anyone can observe the processes on their own. For example, the land registry in third world countries such as Ukraine will vryatli will be blocked for at least another 50 years at least

The advent of Bitcoin's blockchain technology has opened up a world of possibilities that were never imagined. People can finally achieve financial freedom by being their own bank anytime, anywhere. In 2017, there was the ICO boom where crypto land was filled with hype with many companies launching their own business ventures. Everything has been about smart contracts, on-chain privacy, and Blockchain-based gaming. But ever since prices started to decline back in 2018, there has been a lost of interest into crypto and Blockchain tech from people in the mainstream world.

The big thing that might happen in the crypto market is that many countries are starting to publish their own cryptocurrency. If this happens, there is an opportunity for adoption of cryptocurrency that is well known to the public and this might make the cryptocurrency market excited again and Bitcoin can be a safe haven asset like gold
when it all happens in all countries then you can see how virtual currency transactions will develop. but when all countries make their crypto I am afraid there will be a decrease for transactions in the crypto market that have nothing to do with the country. countries can regulate the use of crypto in their countries so that the use of their crypto is greater than the global crypto market.

Halving bitcoin is the next big thing in crypto that has been awaited since 2019, besides halving in my opinion there is a ethereum
will release its latest project, ethereum 2.0, which is another big thing in the crypto. And the last one still controversy is the release
of libra coin which is likely to be released this year could be the big thing in crypto world. From the third the big thing that I mentioned
can make the price of bitcoin and altcoins soar. And it's likely that the prices will match crypto prices in 2017.
Most of the time investors are buying news and with them to place their money it will create a huge impact to the current value of every coins.
The next market movement will be expected to experienced after the halving, might be third quarter of this year.
Keeping yourself ready and expect things to be positive with your investment makes you more comfortable to hold your assets.

Despite the fact that in recent years, the crypto industry has slowly become cleared of all garbage from the time of hype on, the legacy still weighs heavily and many are wary of crypto. So more or less interesting changes that will help make the next breakthrough step will be at the end of this decade.

The level of demand will go up when these two are implemented, if we based it in history where every halving gets up to new price milestone and I just hope that these two are not different and we will have something great to look forward, this is the best time to buy more coins and see what's happening in the market.

Another block reward reduction is in May this year. I think we could see this effect of halving Q4 this year or next year. Another great news is Bitcoin again up 8k. Next should be altcoins season or simple up this could be of altcoin season. Some new altcoins did a bullrun at the time of last year pump, this year this could be big thing.

although we must admit that Facebook is a company that is very well known and recognized, but to get involved in the crypto field will not necessarily be the same as what has been done so far. I still believe that bitcoin and ethereum will still be the best and other coins can grow because they are still influenced by bitcoin.
