nice software, thx

one question : i currently mining "daggerhashimoto" with two r9 290 ( one watercooled and the other aircooled ) how i can set a lower load on the aircooled one to lower the temperature without running 80+% fan speed ?

You can undervolt the Core voltage and reduce the Core frequency. That is what I do when the temperature is high.

Why does my GPU fan speed go to ~100% even with a temperature below 80ºC when mining Lyra2Rev2 and Neoscrypt? Its GPU fan speed is set to automatic only when mining Dagger-Hashimoto, but I'm unable to mine Lyra2Rev2 and Neoscrypt because of the annoying noise and also because I get worried of the GPU fan lifespan. My graphics card is HIS R9 280X IceQ Boost Clock 3GB GDDR5 PCI-E DLDVI-I/HDMI/2xMini DP.

Please note that mining on GPUs utilizes 100% of your GPU card and will make GPU very hot. This is unavoidable. You can disable NiceHash Miner application control over your fan by setting "DisableAMDTempControl" to true in the config file or Config settings ... see here: https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMiner#options

On some algo it does give some extra performance. All you need is to enable it in the settings (set NVIDIAP0State to true by checking the checkbox). Your millage may vary so just benchmark once before enabling it and once more after enabling it and see if you like the speed difference.
Thanks.
I tried that. On gtx970 get +1MHs for daggerhashimoto.
For other algo within the error.

NiceHash team
What does it mean:

Increased performance on NVIDIA mining by automatically setting optimized power state
This gives more hash rate?
In the folder I see file nvidiasetp0state.exe
Should I run it manually?
I run the miner without GUI through the bat file from the bin folder.

Wish I could, but your insistance on using broken github makes it impossible for me.

Still waiting on a reply to my earlier question of "where can I get it that does NOT use github".

Here ya go a Google Drive link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6kB9L8GNvQwMlIxZU9LTjNzbGs

This is a beta build so if anything weird happens, please do report back.

Thanks.

He does not work at
stratum+tcp://sha256.eu.nicehash.com:3334

Hmm, to be honest we don't have any S9 to test so we can't tell for sure. But it would be highly unusual that it would not work. Can you please post a print-screen of the first page of Antimer tab System / Overview?

And can you please configure your Antminer S9 with a separate Bitcoin address
(so that only this miner would use this Bitcoin address) and leave it mining on NiceHash for approx. 15 minutes? Thanks.

i can confirm this and i don't recommend people trying it for themselves until there's some kind of fix.
Reason i say DONT try it is because in my case the chip temperature spiked a LOT

it has indeed to do with bmminer crap.

Antminer S9 is not working in Nicehash Huh

Are you referring to NiceHash Miner or NiceHash service in general? NiceHash Miner does not support SHA256 ASICs (they can't do any other algorithms, so it doesn't make any sense to support them). But regular connection to NiceHash service (see https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=software#sha256) should work. Does this work for you? If not, what is the actual issue?

Best regards,
NiceHash team.

Maybe adding a stratum proxy to your mining software will solve the problem with s9 by making shares run through it?

I can conform this problem as well. My S9 B1 doesn't work with US and EU SHA256 pools.  Nicehash sees/lists it at  0THS. It does work well with its default Antpool at 13.9Ths.

Also as some others reported chips run really hot easily touch 90 degrees.

one thing that would make this software really shine would be the ability to set a minimum mining payout threshold.
if all of the coins you have selected go under this value, the miner stops and the pc sits idle.

yeah actually i think its something with the command line.

edit i think i figured it out.. under "extralauchparameters" it tries to put that on etherminer.exe

i put the fan at 100% on sgminer, so i had to go in and change each setting separate.

oh that didnt fix the benchmark.. i put the 'mean' value in manually.

Ethereum has been taken out, because we have DaggerHashimoto which is Ethereum. There is no reason to still have Ethereum, because there are several benefits from DaggerHashimoto (immediate BTC payments, no unexchanged, PPS, stratum, etc...)

Regarding your issue. Could you run ethminer.exe (it is in bin folder) with following parameters and let me know what happens (copy-paste whole output):

if having NVIDIA GPUs:
Code:
--benchmark-warmup 40 --benchmark-trial 20  --cuda  --dag-load-mode single 0 --benchmark 1743134

if having AMD GPUs:
Code:
--benchmark-warmup 40 --benchmark-trial 20  --opencl --opencl-platform 1 --dag-load-mode single 0 --benchmark 1743134

Also, what kind of OS you have? GPUs?

windows 10, with 2 r9 270X's.. ill run that command and see what happens.
