The youngest player in the premier league is a Nigeria.

Arsenal’s 15-year-old academy product Ethan Nwaneri became the youngest player ever to appear in a Premier League game after coming on for the final few minutes of the Gunners’ 3-0 win at Brentford on Sunday.

Nwaneri was included in Arsenal’s matchday squad for the first time and was handed a record-breaking debut by manager Mikel Arteta in injury time at the Gtech Community Stadium.

At 15 years and 181 days, Nwaneri broke the Premier League’s age mark previously held by Harvey Elliott, who was 16 years and 30 days when he came off the bench for Fulham at Wolves in May 2019.
He has trained a couple of times with us and I had a feeling yesterday that if the opportunity came I would do it,” Arteta said about putting Nwaneri in the game. “I think it sends a strong message about who we are as a club. I told him yesterday he would be with us and he had to be ready. He is ready. When he went on I said: ‘Congratulations and enjoy it.’”

Jack Wilshere — who now manages the Arsenal Under-18 team that Nwaneri is part of — was previously the youngest Arsenal player to make his Premier League debut, at the age of 16 years and 256 days in 2008.

Do you also find that funds too much each for them player's ?
Not at all, I think it is good stimulus for the players and the upcoming ones to improve performance, not just football but for other sports as well, as it is a well known fact in 9ja that Rivers state has very big involvement in sports. Wike is quite generous in donations, he has donated amounts bigger than that in the past even for things not as important as incentives for the State team that has done them proud. I hope his generourisity is extended to other sportsmen making the state proud.

Rivers State Government and Governor just award Rivers United player's Coach and staff's $20,000 each which is over twelve million Naira. Also, he did promise he was going to double it up that's if they qualify for the upcoming CAF Champions League.
I feel that's a good way to motivate the players and the entire squad for winning the Nigerian Premier League. Also saying they will have a good time at the Real Madrid stadium in Rivers State. Do you also find that funds too much each for them player's ?

Over the years, I have watched Rivers United become a very formidable team. They have evolved to become an indomitable force in the league.

Their goalkeeper actually kept 16 clean sheets from what I read online. It is interesting that his club finally won the league title for the season. There is another sad report I read about two first Division clubs in Sierra Leone that had scorelines of 91-1 and 95-0. It is a drama that shows how low match fixing in Africa has gone. That means each minute has a goal. Bad news for sure.

Here is link https://sportslens.com/news/sierra-leone-fa-investigating-scorelines/

Edited today July 11, 2022.

After yesterday's matches, I can confirm that Heartland FC and Kano Pillars have now be relegated even with one match remaining to the end of the season. The last day of the season will unveil the third club that will join them in relegation. What a shame for my darling Heartland. The administrators and handlers killed the club with their greed and corruption.

Rivers United won the league even with many games to go. That is the way to do it like a champion. As for Heartland FC who are still in relegation region, they won their match with Sunshine Stars on Saturday by a lone goal but the players had to trek down to their various homes as there was no diesel to power the team's official bus to take the players back home. Heartland FC has become a laughing stock. It is a shame that the Heartland administrators are treating the players that way. Players are owed salaries and are forced to play on empty stomach.

Over the years, I have watched Rivers United become a very formidable team. They have evolved to become an indomitable force in the league. They actually deserved the win because they had the right ingredient every superstar team needed. Truly the CAF Champions League title is just within their grasps if they don't rest on their oars.

It’s been a very fine season for Rivers United. Congratulations to Rivers United for winning the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title. This is a win for the people of Rivers State. I would love to see an open-top bus parade through the city of Port Harcourt just like we see in Europe and the rest.

Since this incident took place I have been following,  I have not heard any legal action concerning what happened,  if the chairman will will punished.  The way matter is silent now that is how it will be, nothing will be done about it. But it is a shame to hear such stories from a chairman who is supposed to be a role model other young ones coming up.

Back in January, during the game between Dakkada fc and Remo Stars, the assistant coach of Dakkada fc, Sunday Etefia, slapped an assistant referee. As punishment, Dakadda FC was fined 3.5million naira, LMC suspended Sunday Etefia and were close to revoking his coaching license. A fine of three million naira for failure to provide adequate security in the course of the match. Looking back at this decisions by the LMC, I think it is right that Kano Pillars face the same penalty as Dakkada fc did back then..

Congratulations to the pride of Rivers State. There has been uneasy silence from governor Wike since he lost the primaries, this victory will definitely boost their morale

Kano pillars vs Dakkada FC match showed the evil side of the NPFL. The Kano Pillars chairman was very unprofessional in the game, he assaulted a referee on the pitch because he didn't disallow the goal scored by Dakkada FC. This action has brought dishonour  to the game and to the club. He did it in the public, it's not something he did in the dressing room. Why is the board waiting? There should be a severe punishment for Kano Pillars.

It so for unprofessional for a senior man of team to pour out such a behaviour in public, it is an insult to sport in general.  He needs to be punished irrespective of his level he belong in the Nigeria football federation , if nothing is done that means football in the country is in big problem.
It's even more severe that it was the chairman of the club that instigated this violence. The goal was certainly a goal, the result of the match needs to be corrected. The score sheet  by right should be 1-1. How long should the LMC wait to make a decision? The evidence is everywhere, we have all seen the videos. Why keep quiet? It reminds me of what happened in the Oscars, Will Smith was immediately punished for hitting Chris rock on stage. This fist throw by Kano Pillars chairman is even worse than that. Kano Pillars fans will get the same impression that they can assault opponents or officials on home ground and get away with it.

This is something that's been happening in the league for a while. For Kano Pillars, this has become the norm. NFF President, Amaju Pinnick has failed Nigerian football, he's only interested in the Super Eagles rather in the NPFL and nothing is coming out of it (super eagles). I suggest the LMC give Dakkada the one point from that game, and Kano Pillars should be deducted three points. We all want the improvement of our league to world-class standard.

This is the reason why a lot of people still take the NPFL as a joke, how can someone assault a referee and get away with it?
Maybe the referee was scared of showing him a straight red card because he would be attached after the game since the game was played at Kano pillar's home ground or he is probably waiting for the game to end before so that a proper investigation will be done before they know what to do to the chairman of Kano Pillar FC. I wait patiently to see what the board will decide.

The NPFL is not a serious league. Yesterday, the Akwa United and Plateau United match was delayed for thirty minutes because the coach of the Super Eagles, Peseiro has not arrived to the stadium. How do you delay a fixture to wait for a spectator? Peseiro was present in yesterday's game as a spectator, the wait was unnecessary.
For Kano Pillars, the club should be punished for bad conduct. Kano Pillars should be made a scapegoat to other teams, and fans who may have that mindset to cause harm to the sport

The attack on the referee came as a shock to the officials and everyone watching the game. The assistant referee was only doing his job. From the video I have seen, the Dakkada player was clearly onside, and the goal was legitimate by Fifa standard. The referee did not raise his flag or blow a whistle until the assistant referee was punched by Dakkada FC chairman. I think the referee changed his decision out of fear of being attacked by Kano Pillars and their fans. The decision by the referee was made under duress. There is no how they would have escaped from the stadium without injuries.

Jay Jay Okocha had skills that would make Ronaldinho jealous, and Nwakwo Kano aka Papilo was one of the best players Arsenal ever had. These two players made me love inlove with football. I remember when both players were playing for the Super Eagles, we wrote songs to celebrate them. Iheancho, Mikel and other Nigerians playing in Europe have made a name for themselves. But there is a lot of raw talent in the NPFL

i am african and i have also followed all leagues, for me as a sports bettor (particularly soccer) knowing about all leagues is something that is part of my day to day, but honestly this comparison of ronaldinho with Jay Jay Okocha is scary, O ronaldinnho is a phenomenon that appears rarely a year, he is a complete player, the type of player that on any team he would be the dominant one, the guy who draws all the attention to him because his skills are on another level, whereas Jay Jay Okocha was a player whose abilities were found in many players, he was not unique.

Well today there's a team game that I really like, I'm talking about Enyimba against Kwara United, definitely Enyimba will win that game

Ronaldinho is a unique player, I can also tell Jay Jay Okocha Okocha was also a good player, I don't think what he has then was found in other regular player. Jay Jay was a talented player but he was not really giving that recognition for his skillfull talent in his time.

Rodgers FC players and sporters behavior today was uncalled for and unprofessional and I think behavior like this in the local league should be condemned with strong punishment to serve as lessons to other clubs fans that will want to try something similar, the match against River United could still be as good with a draw and not fighting over an offside goal.

The level of indiscipline in our local league is incomparable anywhere in the world. And this is because there is no severe punishment to deter both fans and players. Everybody behaves how it pleases them and gets away with it. Do you know that the highest compensation referees get when beaten in our league is N250,000 no matter the level of beating. For every punishment on a club, the league managers get a chunk of the money which is not even more than N2 million if at all they are fined whereas those brutalised get peanuts. As the league is winding up now there are alot of underground match fixing going on. Do not be shocked to see surprising goal scorelines.
