Heartland won their match with Kastina United with a goal scored at the closing time of the first half by Chukwudi Nwaodu. The coach of the team, Erasmus Onuh, is no doubt a great coach but it is the administrative team of the club that is making a mess of the club with unpaid allowances and salaries and that is not encouraging to the team. Heartland is on 17th position with 40 points. Kastina Utd are out of relegation on 14th place with 42 points if the league ends this way. Heartland's next match is with Enyimba FC who are on 4th place on June 26. Let us see if Heartland will repeat their constant victories against Enyimba to drag themselves out of the relegation zone.

Today's game Rivers Utd - Abia Warriors. It was shocking that Abia warriors scored in the first minute of the game. Rivers United came from behind to win two goals to one. With five games left to play in the season, there are lot of points to pick up before the season ends. Rivers United are far ahead in race to win the league title, I don't think Plateau United can win the title

It’s sad we barely have players from the NPFL play in the national team, Super Eagles. It goes to show they don't pay much respect to the NPFL players. The players that are invited to play for the national team are players who play for major clubs in Europe, not one of them is from the local clubs. It becomes a problem when these international clubs do not want to release the players to play for African tournaments. I think it's a failure in our system, there should be a correlation between the NPFL and the national team.
Sadly this apply also to other african countries even in my country there is a similar problem all because they don't have faith in their native league players but in my opinion we have much raw talent in africa and if these young players get the support needed they can play in big european clubs i hope one day football in africa can improve.

i am african and i have also followed all leagues,

This is interesting to know that you are African. I never thought you were. I used to read your posts years ago. You write well too. Are you a Nigerian? Am asking because most of those who are not Nigerians do not like to watch our games because of poor officiating and pitches.

As I predicted that it would be very difficult for Heartland FC to win their away matches. So, they lost to Lobi Stars today 2-1. Heartland is looking like they will taste relegation. I do not know what magic will pull them out.

Jay Jay Okocha had skills that would make Ronaldinho jealous, and Nwakwo Kano aka Papilo was one of the best players Arsenal ever had. These two players made me love inlove with football. I remember when both players were playing for the Super Eagles, we wrote songs to celebrate them. Iheancho, Mikel and other Nigerians playing in Europe have made a name for themselves. But there is a lot of raw talent in the NPFL

i am african and i have also followed all leagues, for me as a sports bettor (particularly soccer) knowing about all leagues is something that is part of my day to day, but honestly this comparison of ronaldinho with Jay Jay Okocha is scary, O ronaldinnho is a phenomenon that appears rarely a year, he is a complete player, the type of player that on any team he would be the dominant one, the guy who draws all the attention to him because his skills are on another level, whereas Jay Jay Okocha was a player whose abilities were found in many players, he was not unique.

Well today there's a team game that I really like, I'm talking about Enyimba against Kwara United, definitely Enyimba will win that game

Rivers United have been close a couple of times to winning the NPFL at the end of the day it doesn't favour them, they may start the season well and only end up in top four. It's becoming a norm for Rivers United to come out second or third place in the league. This season they were able to get a continental ticket playing in CAF champions league

MFM, Niger Tornadoes FC, Dakkada, Heartland FC, are all fighting to escape relegation. These teams have been the poorest this season. No surprise they are struggling to remain in the NPFL.

Heartland's problem is administrative and not as if the boys can not knock leather. The Coach of the side Erasmus Onuh has really tried for the Naze millionaires but the constant lack of logistics to the team has continued to hinder the progress of the club. The lack of concentration in the camp because of salary owed is not what they need to win their match with fellow relegation threatened Lobi Stars tomorrow. It will be a miracle if Heartland pick a point in that match.

I think Heartland FC is going to relegation, they still some games in hand but I doubt they can make it out of relegation. Kano Pillars have been able to jump out of the relegation zone. MFM, Niger Tornadoes FC, Dakkada, Heartland FC, are all fighting to escape relegation. These teams have been the poorest this season. No surprise they are struggling to remain in the NPFL. Imo MFM is the worse of them all, they have been nothing but disappointing this season.

Unfortunately that's life for you, especially when the abusers of these rights are in a higher position than you. There's absolutely nothing you can do but keep playing and hope for a change.

Cheating others is not life and that is why those who do it always blame the devil for their greed once they are caught. Things of this nature are highly controlled abroad in civilised nations but too common in Africa because alot of people do not like to speak out and offenders are never punished when exposed.

Heartland could not honour their friendly match with Amanda FC of Orlu yesterday because of their four months unpaid salaries as they are still demonstrating. With what is happening now, am not confident Heartland will also honour their Sunday match with Lobi Stars. The players are very angry over their salaries. I like their unity in doing this demonstration this time. Enough is enough.

Sometimes I wish the team will go on relegation but then I know it is the players who will suffer it more as those wicked souls who parade themselves as administrators will move on once the team goes down on relegation. This is wickedness.

I did not get to see that match live though I read it was a great game. It was the same way relegation threatened Heartland FC of Owerri trashed Akwa United in Owerri in their last match.

It is rather unfortunate that Akwa united let my hands down in their last match against heartland FC with a 1-0 loss.  Grin
But that's football tbh where the predictions are usually unstable

Did you all watch the game between Platuea United and River's United here in Port Harcourt ?

I did not get to see that match live though I read it was a great game. It was the same way relegation threatened Heartland FC of Owerri trashed Akwa United in Owerri in their last match. The Nazi millionaires have been winning their home matches but have not been lucky winning away matches. I foresee them losing this weekend match with Lobi Stars on away. Yesterday, players of Heartland took to demonstration of their unpaid salaries. I hate what the Heartland management is doing to the players who starve to play on the pitch. Sometimes I wish the team will go on relegation but then I know it is the players who will suffer it more as those wicked souls who parade themselves as administrators will move on once the team goes down on relegation. Rivers United did great won both halves of the game, scored with a penalty from the first half and then came the second from the same player in the second half.
Chijoke Akuna was responsible for the both goals, they now lead by 10 points with eight games left to play

Two good matches can elevate you from zero to hero. Kano pillars were in the bottom of the league two weeks ago. Yesterday they hit Remo stars with everything yesterday three goals to one. This is how a team who is fighting against relegation plays. It's exciting times for Kano Pillars. They still have eight more matches to go

Heartland will trade tackles with Abia Warriors tomorrow at the Owerri stadium and the match will commence at 4pm kick off time. On head to head count we can say that Abia Warriors are better but I expect Heartland to win this match judging from the way they out played Plateau Utd in their last match last week. I want to see a good showing topped with three maximum points so that the Naze millionaires can shift away from relegation.

It was a drab draw in the Nigeria Professional Football League outstanding game today and i am sure neither of the team supporters are pleased with the outing from the team today.

You captioned it well. It was indeed a drab game. Fans of Remo Stars should be happy because their team did well by picking a point from the host in far away east. The last time Heartland played guests to Remo, the host made sure the Naze millionaires were well tortured and humiliated by 3 unreplied goals on December 26th. Remo dropped a point in that match which is like a winning. Remo will face a tougher opposition in their next match with Nasarawa Utd and I see them losing to Nasarawa Utd.

I saw this game today on the internet, and I saw it because I am very interested in the Nigerian soccer league, it is something else, I am currently following many leagues, but the most recent one I prefer to give this time to the Nigerian league than the Argentine league, I It draws a lot of attention because the players have very different attitudes to Latin American football, I dare to say that the Nigerians have a resistance of another level, it is like the Brazilians, the climatic conditions do not allow them to run like that and I admire that, the draw It seemed normal to me, I didn't see it as monotonous, gutbol styles are usually very exciting when you have other styles of play in your mind.

Rivers United 2-0 Enyimba - Rivers united cruised to a 2 goal home victory against enyimba united to move 4 points clear of second place Plateau Utd on the nigeria premier league standings. Goals from Ishak and Madu was enough to get Rivers the 3 points. Enyimba meanwhile remain 9th, 9 points above relegation spots
before enyimba team was one of the best team that play good football and people knows the way about this football club i dont know how Rivers united will win them! This enyimba team trained many people and by now they are suppose to be best team and no team should be challenging them to the extent of wining 2:0

There are consequences for every action

The Remo and Heartland match finally held today after much shifts. It was not much of an interesting game because Heartland would have been better with a win and not a draw. The match ended in a goalless draw and a share of spoils for both teams. Heartland is likely to go on relegation. The club is unable to win its home matches. If it can not win home games, it will not be an easy thing to expect a win away.

It was a drab draw in the Nigeria Professional Football League outstanding game today and i am sure neither of the team supporters are pleased with the outing from the team today. The stalement leaves Heartland rooted to the bottom of the league, while Remo stars remain 1 point adrift of 3rd position and 10 points off league leaders Rivers United.
