This is hilarious! I didn’t know talent could be transferred from one person to another.

You did not know that talent and skills can be transferred? What do you think happens when you learn something from someone? So you did not know that is transfer of talent? Most of us did not know a single thing about bitcoin before coming here but now we can teach others one or two things relating to bitcoin, is that not it? That is because those who are more talented with more knowledge than us in things related to bitcoin transferred knowledge to us. Whether you call it knowledge or talent, both are transferable.
“Talented with more knowledge”, this sentence is beautiful nonsense. Talent is defined as natural endowments of a person, scientifically there is a chance talents can be passed on genetically from parents to offsprings. As far as I know “Knowledge” is not a talent and can be passed on from one person to another. Do not mistake talent for knowledge/learned skill. You have knowledge about bitcoin, can you be referred to as a talented bitcoiner?

A little difficult for me to predict in the Nigerian Football League, some bets I've made have always missed like the Ghana vs. Comoros in January 2022 ago, I thought Ghana could beat the Comoros, it turned out that on the contrary, Ghana was rewarded by the Comoros 3-2.

Of course that doesn't make me give up on betting in the upcoming NPFL league, I will reclaim the 28th next where Ghana will meet Nigeria in the upcoming NPFL league.

For me this time had to hold back and really make a wise decision for Ghana vs. Nigeria, I believe my guess is correct and correct next week.

Jay Jay Okocha and Papilo remains the two most selfish Nigerian internationals of this age. I know you people will not like what I have said. They were great during their playing days on the pitch. But since they left active football, nothing has been heard about them in regards to football. They should have taken to coaching or found their way into football administration whether in Nigeria or anywhere else. But they are no where to be found on that. They want to die with their talents without passing it on to anyone. That is selfishness.
If this is the reason you said both Okocha and Kanu are selfish, I think that is wrong, they are not both selfish, players can decide to continue their career in sport or choose another aspect of profession, we should respect that people have different goals in life. Some people can be very good players but they can lack the knowledge to coach or they are not confident enough for that area as, some people do not like than being players.

This is hilarious! I didn’t know talent could be transferred from one person to another. Maestro75 you just struck gold, put those talents in a bottle and you will be a very rich man. Talent on the pitch doesn’t automatically make one  coaching material. Just because these G.O.A.T. are not coaching the Super Eagles doesn’t mean they are selfish. That’s how you people frustrated Stephen Keshi to the grave. Let J.J Okocha and Papilo be.

What does he know about football ?
At times people talk out, just to show they're present, what rubbish, now I don't know what I need to do to unsee these shit.
I may not agree with Jay Jay but Kanu was way one of the best talents I have ever seen, I got to learn determination from him.
In the Nigerian history of footballers they're great player also, Celestine Babayaro, Samuel Omokachi etc.

Jay Jay Okocha had skills that would make Ronaldinho jealous, and Nwakwo Kano aka Papilo was one of the best players Arsenal ever had. These two players made me love inlove with football. I remember when both players were playing for the Super Eagles, we wrote songs to celebrate them. Iheancho, Mikel and other Nigerians playing in Europe have made a name for themselves. But there is a lot of raw talent in the NPFL

I was so much into Kanu Nwakwo. He had a different style of play as if he got no strength in him but hmmm , his dribbling skills no be here oo  Grin. Kanu was so determined to make it in football and he did despite going through heart surgery, he continued playing. His determination made peak milk to run an advertorial , using Kanu as a figure in their product. The Nigerian league has produced loads of wonderful players that have played in top clubs in Europe.

Today's match result
Enyimba 1 - 1 Plateau United
Niger Tornadoes 1 - 0 Remo Stars

Niger tornadoes will host Remo Stars at home, Tornadoes have picked just a point in their last 4 matches and are currently sitting in the relegation zone. They need to win to move out of the relegation zone. Remo Stars has been impressive and are currently 3rd on the table tornadoes will have to work for those points.
Niger Tornadoes won Remo Star and moved up away from the relegation zone. I checked the 9th on the table and the club is only having 23 points while clubs with 18 points are among clubs in the relegation zone, I still see it very impossible to know the clubs that will relegate as the league is highly competitive.

I'm expecting goals from both sides, hopefully the coach chooses to play an attacking game instead of defense

In this match Eyimba conceding, that I'm certain of but them scoring is a doubt. Look at the statistics of the top 10, they're the least scorers and have the worse goal difference. They're among the worst clubs in that top 10 hopefully this nightmare stop soon.

Is this the same coach that chose only one home-based player for the recently ended AFCON? He included the best keeper in the league, John Noble (Enyimba), only to make him the third choice with zero appearances. Inviting home-based players during friendlies and qualification games is not a new thing; former coach Gernot Rohr did the same thing. After the qualification rounds, the home based players are replaced by international players.

I didn't follow up this but in his excuse I believe he wasn't the one incharge. He just picked up from where Gernot Rihr left maybe this were the players made available by the previous coach. Eguavoen was the only coach to have won all three group stages of the AFCON after he previously did the same last time he was incharge. Already he's picking interest in the home based league and probably if he get given enough time he'll build a team that can compete against the likes of senagal for the AFCON.

The Premier league is called Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL)

@SatoPrincess, thank you for being this up for discussion, Nigerians are many on this forum but nobody has ever suggested or brought this up before, it would not be bad if we use this single thread for discussing about Nigeria premier league.

The NPFL is made of 20 clubs representing different states in the country. Typically we support our state clubs no matter how badly they play. Guys rep your state and your club. I rep Rivers United!
You are right, each club is made up of each states clubs but there could be exceptions like the MFM FC which belongs to Mountain of Fire Ministry. Just that Nigeria clubs league has not developed up to the extent that we want, but the better our country is, the better we would see more private football clubs in Nigeria.

This week matches:

I do not know much about NPFL but I will be following what is happening there this time around, it is not bad at all to discuss about the leagues and clubs in Nigeria.
You will enjoy watching the NPFL if you give it a try especially now that the clubs are loaded with so many talented stars. If you want to be entertained, try and visit Port Harcourt when our own Rivers United is playing at home, you will thank me later. I represent Rivers United, our stadium and pitch is excellent, the price of our tickets are affordable so come let's entertain you with good football.

Niger tornadoes Vs Remo stars on 4 pm will be the expected one. Tomorrow by this time, we will have a good looking match and his results.Nigerian people are huge addicted to the football and this league was the warm welcome to them. My choice for this game is Remo stars, their game was huge different from the tornadoes. The attacking match of tornadoes will be easily changed by the defending Remo stars.

Tomorrow fixture Enyimba plays Plateau United. It is going to be a tough match as both teams are league titans. The match will be played in Enyimba International Stadium (Aba), I believe playing at home will give Enyimba the winning psychology they need to win. Rivers United is surprisingly at the top of the table and my home club warri wolves is in relegation.
Enyimba is not that good this season, but what makes this match more unpredictable is because Plateau United is better at home than away, but this kind of match can still favour Plateau United because it has both won and lose in away matches while Enyimba is not playing that good at home like that. All I am expecting in this match is that it is more likely not to be draw but the winner is very unpredictable even as Plateau United is the second leading on the league table.
True Enyimba performance has been poor this season but looking at their stats against Plateau United the match is kinda even to me. Regardless of the standings on the league table, I believe Enyimba team can take down Plateau Utd. They can't afford to lose this match at home. I'm expecting goals from both sides, hopefully the coach chooses to play an attacking game instead of defense

The good news though among all this is the Men's national coach Eguavoen has named 7 NPFL players he wants to invite to Super Eagles’ squad. This is one of the advantages of having a home grown coach they always pick interest in the local league instead of begging foreign based players to come play for the nation.

I don't know how Emyimba got this bad for the past 5 years now, they have been struggling to make the top 4, they are currently occupying 7th position on the log, the biggest surprise this season is Rivers United, we narrowly avoided relegation last season and we are already on top of the league this season, we went into the season as underdogs and that really helped ease the pressure to get us the necessary results.

In that five years they won in 2019 and still the highest winners in the tournament. Rivers united been my home club, I'm yet to understand what's going on. Them been at the top is truly a surprise, could it be because they're playing brilliantly or others are playing badly. As for the story of Nigerian Soldiers Beating Up Shooting Stars Footballer For Refusing to Leave Restaurant (Video), I don't understand why our law enforcement officer always take advantage of our celebrities to show power. Before now it was the music industry taking the hit but now they have shifted attention to the footballers.

The good news though among all this is the Men's national coach Eguavoen has named 7 NPFL players he wants to invite to Super Eagles’ squad. Their was many professional league. When the narket leads to good sign, their is pump in the investments. But we need to analysis the game and don't force any one on gambling. Many new clubs player played in this league all over the world. But their player always had a good sign on the gaming. Because they like to play game with some huge bonding. Bonding plays a huge difference in the gaming.

Are you joking or something ? You mean Ronaldinho jealous of Jay Jay okocha ?
You should take this back, They are both good, i think they had a chance to play together in a team of which i can recall, could that be Paris ?
But Okocha is good at hes own zone and comparison with Ronaldinho hurts my eyes.
Kanu was quite influential for Arsenal in the old days, i think he deserves all of the praises given to him.
My problem with Jay Jay was being so skillfully great and not winning African best in any way!

I think he is right although Ronaldinho was a youngster when Okocha played with him in PSG. Most of Ronaldinho's skills he learn't from Okocha just that he added some flairs to it. One thing with Okocha is that he didn't win much trophy for Nigerians compared to the name he made in the world of football. Ronaldinho performed better during his career days more than Okocha did in his entire football career. But, in terms of skills I think Okocha is an entertaining footballer like Ronaldinho which leaves me to accept that Ronaldinho copied some skills from Jay Jay Okocha.

Look at Okocha's speech about Ronaldinho copying his skills
