This is the theory. But practically, if the cycle will happen again, it may be different and bear market will be still around following and replacing bullish era. But we don't know how dip the bear market is, will it crash as bad as in 2018 or not. Because we also know that bullish era right now especially for altcoins are not as high and fast as previous altcoin seasons.
But hopefully, what you said is true. So that the market will be more balanced, not really crashed in bear market.
+1. I believe in the cycle too, as it has already proven for the past years. But as time goes by, it will be different because as we go along, a lot of people starting to get in, the volume is already different from the past, it could be higher or lesser.
Another thing is the fractal, it could be not the expected day/month/year but the cycle could happen on a different date.

That's right since there's totally no guarantee at all that we will not experience the same scenario before since crypto market still volatile, although we are not experiencing this heavy bear market season these year but the fact here is that situation might threatened us again maybe next year or in next following years so we shouldn't get our sight on the market and we should always have updates regarding on current situation so that we can ride the flow.

Yes, you are absolutely right now there will be no big dump like past, we may see a little correction in the market maximum of 10-15%, no more than it. We may see 10-15% this week because there is a bearish divergence in the BTC 1D chart. So trade carefuly.
It will also be used by traders and investors in terms of buying and adding the number of coins they like at a price that is slightly lower than the previous few days, because even then it will not last long if it is not put to good use immediately.

If bear market is going to happen in 2022 it won't last long like the past because this adoption of a thing is 10x more stronger than the past, if you think that all crypto coins are going to lose 90% of their value again you are dreaming, oh unless Covid 2.0 happens
Dont be confident even though we are seeing some greens for a long time but doesnt mean that long bearish market couldnt really happen anymore.Come to think that nothing do last forever thats why we shouldnt be that confident and still do things and secure out profits as much as we can because we cant be sure on what would happen
next in the market neither there would be sudden bearish run which might result into losing money or profits thats why you should be wise on taking
while you still can.

Well, I don't think we can be complacent. Yes, the markets are more mature now than back in 2017/18 but let's not forget that we still have a long journey ahead of us. It is possible we'll not see the same level of 'blood in the streets' but I don't think it can be avoided.

It is better to take a defensive and preparatory approach than be passive.

We'll see how it plays out, but I do expect to see drops across the boarders whenever the bears are around, though the drop might not be as hard as expected!

It is even doubtful we are going to see a bear market during the next year, however I agree with you in the sense that if it were to come it is not going to be as bad as what we saw during 2018 and the years that followed, institutional investors are now part of the market and they are not going to allow a bear market to continue for long as that could put at risk their investment, so at worst I could expect a bear market that last 6 to 9 months and with a decrease in the price that is not as big as as what we saw back then.

but i have other sentiments on what the OP is saying, because most of these alts will still lose 90% of their value because most of them have no reasons to exist. they are crap and no use case at all and were created to enrich devs' pockets.
only few of these projects will emerge successful in the market and will continue to survive.
we have seen that from thousands of alts, only small percentage has real usage in the market. so yes, there will still be bear market on most of these alts, esp those crappy ones.

Well, you only lose 90% if you're that type of investor that invests randomly to any coins that you see in the market. And if there are people that wishes to see people lose and drop 90% of their investments, let's just wish them the best with their portfolio so that it won't happen what they're wishing for others. There will be or won't long term bear market, the market is always showing unpredictable moves. Maybe it has shown long term bear market in the past and it will show again in the future or it won't.

We can never tell what really the future will be in crypto. But I also believe in you that bear market would not last long like before. Crypto circulates because of demand and supply and the continues increase in adoption proves that people are more aware now about digital assets. Maybe covid 19 is one of the reason why people engaged in crypto but if ever there will be covid 2.0( Which I think not going to happen anymore) it will not affect the crypto market to have a long bearish market.

It is difficult to say what will happen in the crypto market. Whether the bear market will come at all, it is difficult to guess how long it will last.  During the bullrun of 2017 it seemed that the bear market would not come but the bear market did come and lasted for 2 years. So only time will tell what will happen. We just have to be alert.
We can never really tell how long will it last, but the fact that it will really come, so we just have to prepared for it by taking advantage of our profits that we will gain in this present bullish season. Bearish season will give us good opportunities to invest again from those cheap coins and by choosing from them who will gonna give more value in the future, maybe we can stick with bitcoin and ethereum and some major altcoins because they have all the bigger chances to soar high again when bearish season is over. And it even keeps repeating every year.

Oh maaan... I remember similar speeches in early 2018 when we all had an euphoria about the crypto and nobody was talking about bad scenarios during the altcoin season  Smiley

I like your optimistic nature mate, but this is the crypto world, a bear market can happen at any time. however, it may be better to think about what to invest in, or hold on to, rather than think about when a bear market will arrive.
In addition, a bear market could occur for people who are new to the cryptocurrency world in 2020. They have never experienced what happened before, so even when the price of bitcoin drops to $20k, it can be a nightmare for people who invest when the bitcoin price is high as it is today. however, now that adoption rates are getting higher, many big companies are accepting crypto, and countries are starting to regulate and accept crypto. It's very clear that a bear market might be pretty tough going, but I don't think we know what the future holds.

Even if there happens to be a long bear market, the price wouldn’t shorten as it used to do before, like going down 90%. The market is now getting a bit more  strong than it used to be before, and that’s because we have been getting lots of institutional investors who are now investing heavily in the cryptocurrency market.

Most of them are ready to hold for long term, and they have now turned to steady investors who I know for sure are not going to stop anytime soon or not at all. Look at the cryptocurrency market as of recent, coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum has been moving up even after they have reached their all time high price, the still continue to move slowly and going up. If it was before, the bullish trend would have been over by now and They have all collapsed to a very lower price.

Yes, adoption is getting stronger and stronger by the day and dip don't last days and days before it recovers unlike before, the market i would assume is less volatile than what it used to be, crypto is gradually moving from that point of huge dip, so I hope more 2022 will be a much fun year.

IMO, I believe in the saying that in the crypto industry everything is possible, that's why we cant so sure about how the bearish market will perform if it was going to happen in 2022 and for me, the best thing to do is prepare for the upcoming bearish market sentiment because we really don't know what will happens next. But I agree with some of your opinions that the market size has already grown compared before so it might have big changes in terms of effect if the bearish market sentiment will arrive.
That is 100% true. Everything is possible in this market. This is true for price as well and I have been saying the same thing for a while, it could go up 2x in a month, or it could go down 80% in a month and both of them are equally possible. I would say that put some money aside for now, that is the best thing that you could do right now if you would like to get ready for a bear run.

If you have some cash saved aside (you could put it on stablecoins if you want to) then you would be ready whenever it happens, that way you would be able to just buy it when the price drops like crazy. It will not be able to hit you like lightning right away, but you would be able to see it when it happens.

Sounds true, the next bear market won't happen until April or may of 2022 and even it won't last long like past crypto history, there will be sharks waiting for the dips and those dips won't be so deep like past bears seasons

The thing is, some cryptos will crash, it somewhat depends on the cryptocurrency in question, some useless coins even dump during bull markets, but AFAIK, Bitcoin wouldn't have too much of a plunge/crash anymore, the high level of adoption from traditional institutions and individuals ever since the covid-19 shed its milk teeth is an indication that the network has gotten a whole lot better than it was previously, there would be correction periods, but it wouldn't be too significant.

But having said that, mind you that despite the above, an investor should not still invest more than they can afford to lose and you shouldn't also fail to do your research, the market is unpredictable and can go against analysis, thus always DYOR and make your decisions yourself.

No one holds the future so it will remain uncertain until we get there. And serious price corrections will definitely turn the market bearish after most of the coins will be greatly affected with the dump. But seeing how bitcoin leads the market through its fast adoption rate from big companies and different big institutions all over the world, probably there will be changes in the market's price trend. It might be most of the times are bullish and bearish season will only happen temporarily.
